56 Sweetest Shock
While passing from the Life Hospital, Master Song asked his driver to stop the car. Gon who was sitting on the passenger seat looked behind, "Master, you should visit this time. We still have some time left for the next meeting."
Master Song who was staring at the hospital mumbled, "Should I? or should I call Hao before, yes right, this seems better." Gon sighed inwardly. Just then, Master Song switched off his phone and said, "Let's go."
Gon followed his order and came out to open the door. To his surprise, Master Song has already got down from the car and was straightening his suit. They both went inside and asked for Dr. Song Hao.
Just then, they heard a playful sweet voice calling Dr. Song Hao from the corridor. They both looked in that direction and got shocked.
It was the sweetest shock for both of them. They both saw how Su Yeon and Wang Lufan were bickering with each other. Gon mumbled, "They used to bicker like this most of the time, right Master?"
Whereas Master Song remembered the time when these siblings would bicker like this and his little dumpling would run to him complaining about the other one. He said, "Gon ah, let's leave. I have seen what I yearned for... I don't want to ruin just because of my greed."
Even if he said those words, he didn't mean it. Gon could see through his master. He said inwardly, 'Master, I know that you're just being afraid of disappointment. The guardian looked up with his swollen eyes, "Doctor, how is my wife? Is she alright? She won't die right?" Wang Lufan smiled and said, "Don't worry Mr. Wei, she is perfectly fine now. The operation went successful without any complications. We can't shift her as of now since we have to monitor their condition till tomorrow."
The guardian thanked him while crying, "Thank you so much doctor, thank you." Dr. Wang Lufan nodded with a smile and said, "You should have your dinner now, it's already getting late. You can even go home later, you have to greet your wife tomorrow with a happy face."
Seeing the guardian smiling, Dr. Wang Lufan was about to leave, but he remembered something and turned around. He saw the face of the guardian once again and asked, "Wait… were you the person I met in the PICU* a couple of days ago? Mr. Wei…"
Mr. Wei wiped his tears and nodded. He and his wife both were waiting there a couple of days ago. Their daughter was diagnosed with chronic heart disease, which needed a heart transplant. Unfortunately, they haven't got a donor yet. In this depression, Mrs. Wei accidentally had an overdose of the sleeping pills and her condition worsened.
Dr. Wang Lufan consoled him, "Everything will be fine, don't worry. I can guarantee that Dr. Song will successfully do this surgery. He is also using his connections to get a donor as soon as possible."

On the other side of the road, Kim Jin clenched the steering wheel and threw the pastry box on the passenger seat. He glared at the tall guy who was standing beside her intimately. Jealousy was boiling inside him by seeing the way she was interacting with that guy.
Today when he saw her tired face after a lunch meeting, he decided to give her a surprise visit with her favorite chocolate pastry. Maybe… just maybe it would melt her heart and she will look at him differently. His whole plan got ruined just because of this unknown guy, so he reversed his car and went home.
Su Yeon and Wang Lufan sat inside the car. The happy and joyful atmosphere turned into a grave serious one the moment the car door closed. No one could see what is happening inside the car due to the tinted windows.

Su Yeon and Wang Lufan both said unanimously. Before Lufan could say anything further, Su Yeon started, "I have a basic idea what you want to say. I know you once were part of the underworld and… they must have found out your arrival in the imperial city. That is why they are following you…"

That night, Yoon parents asked him to stay after dinner. Su Yeon directly declared his stay and video called Wang parents to tell them everything. Just like that, the two childhood friends got busy catching up till late.
