1 Twisted his Own Fate

Born in the village of West Pool in Savi Island, John is a young man determined to prove that everyone has their fate in their own hands. He was born in a low-income family and village whose only economic activity is fishing from a nearby lake. Having schooled in a local primary and secondary school, John had an opportunity to step into university. In university, life was tough for him. As he watched his counterparts live in luxurious houses and afford expensive meals, he could not even call home for help, for he knew the situation at home was even worse. However, while his physical body seemed weak due to lack of enough food and exhaustion from learning, his spirit was ever energetic and rejuvenated. His dream of living a better life was ever-persistent, and he could not quit. At one moment, he felt like quitting after the whole class aside from him went on a trip to South Africa. However, after a weekend of sorrowful lamentations, he reenergized after receiving the end semesters exams, where he excelled quite well compared to his counterparts who went for the academic trip.

His graduation was a heroic one, and the whole village came to witness one of their own achieving the dream they all share. They all want to leave the tiny village and work in the big cities in South Africa. The tall buildings seem fancy to them, and all they want is to have a share of the big city. One of their own is going to the city and probably as an assurance to them that anything is possible. After landing a job in the big city, his life begins to change drastically. He is overwhelmed by the cities way of life. People work day and night the day seems bright and promising, and the nights seem dark and dangerous. With determination and dreams, he is determined to create a great name for himself in the company he works in. thus, he works tirelessly to earn the assistant manager's position in the Vuvu-X Company limited.

His life takes an over-cover turn over when he meets Sonya in one of the company's monthly meetings. Driven by love and lust, John is determined to get Sonya at all cost. In his quest to pursue her passion, he discovers that she is the company director's daughter. Known to be a no-nonsense man, the company director could not agree to such a union. However, John is determined at all cost to get her. Thus, he makes a sudden move on her and confesses his feelings in one of the company's get-together meetings. The news was not surprising to Sonya since she saw the eyes and the young man's behavior since the first day they met. While Sonia did not have a problem with the relationship, it was evident that her father would break all hell loose.

The company director is notified of the relationship between one of his junior employees and his daughter. As expected, the man flabbergasted and vowed to destroy whoever the young man is. On the other hand, John works really hard to keep the woman of his dreams and earn the company's assistant managers position. While working hard to achieve his dream, Sonya patiently waits for the day they get married. Luckily, John gets the promotion, and the director recognizes him for the first time as a hard worker. Being the assistant manager, he is in close proximity with the company's director. However, the director does not yet know that John is the one intending to marry his daughter. Ideally, the company director had other plans for his daughter. Thus, he did not appreciate anyone playing with his daughter.

While working in close proximity with the directors, he becomes the favorite employee and one of the director's confidant. His hard work and excellent performances earned him a place on the director's trustee's board. Overwhelmed with the urge to tell the director of his affair with Sonya, John waits for the opportune moment. On the other hand, Sonya knows her father's nature and is hesitant in telling him of his engagement with the favorite employee. Having been promoted to the Chief Operations Officer position, John was loyal to the director. However, with the inclusion of Sonya in the company, his royalty shifted to the love of his life.

The company director is finally told that John is the one having a relationship with his daughter. The company director is flabbergasted and filled with rage. He vows to destroy John, who intends to destroy his daughter's future. John's dreams come crashing down when he is fired from the company, and the love of his life sent back to Britain. Though he hands his future in his hands, a little turn of events changes everything, from working for a big company and having such a big position to seek jobs like a school lever. Not unless he goes to Britain, his hopes of seeing the love of his life have been shuttered.
