Synopsis

Life seem different from what I expected.

Chapter 1CHAPTER ONE- BRIDGE OF MANY COLOURS PART ONE

Unlocking the mystery, opening the door of Leon High School, Tallahassee. Scaling forward with my favorite wear-sleeveless blue lace top and a white plain trouser that matches with my white sneakers. All eyes seem to be on me. I felt a spasm of panic as I stared at them wide, childlike eyes-being in thought of being liked by everyone before I mistakenly barged into a gang of boys-presumed. They were looking so advanced with unique look-each wearing a black hoodie with black jean pants, sunshade glasses, putting on silver watches that have the same function as a phone, wearing white sneakers that the lace seem to look more like a wire and I think electric buttons coated as design. It was looking weird but very attractive and nice. I have never seen such in the nineties before maybe because all my life have been indoor in Mexico due to poor system of education.

"Watch were your going kid." one of the boys said. He seemed to be their leader.

"Oh! am really sorry," I reluctantly spoked. They turned away to leave but I baffled out "You know is uncharitable for you to call me a kid as long as am a student like you. Immediately I was speaking, they all laugh and turned toward my direction and the leader breathed out in annoyance. "Let me guess a newcomer, no wonder you talk wild." He observe then pushed me to the floor and left together with his gang. As I was retrieving from what had happened a girl suddenly showed up to my face. "Hey, I you alright?" She asked with concern helping me lift from the ground.

"Yes, I think." Recovering from the shock of humiliation. "Thanks for lending me a hand."

"Are you the new girl Bailey Erin." She asked

"Yes, just call me Erin." I requested. "I will like to know yours.

"Sorry for that, my name is Hallie Robyn." She answered

"Hallie am curious."

"Why?" Hallie asked.

"Who are those people I barged into?"

"I can't really tell you about them now maybe after school." She uttered to me.

"Why?"

"Everyone is watching." She whispered.

"How?" I questioned.

"look around." She replied.

Then I gently observe and everyone was looking to my way. "Ok, see you after school." I finally said and she left leaving me to complete my journey to the principal office to fill in my admission form. When I was through with that I was handed over to the student supervisor for newcomers on the rules and regulations of the school.

"This is the student supervisor. He will show you around." the principal announced.

"Thanks. "I greeted and I left with the supervisor from the office.

"Hi am Aidan Cruz ,you must be....."

"Bailey Erin." I cut in.

"Should I call you Bailey or Erin?"

"Erin."

"It sounds unique." He remarked stopping at a classroom door.

"Aidan how is life here really?"

"I don't understand your question." He said with a confuse look.

"Never mind."

"This is your classroom." pointing to the door we halted at. "so this calls to the end of the tunnel, goodbye for now."

"Thanks a lot."

"Your welcome." He sounded so polite and I entered the classroom.

WARNING: MATURE CONTENT CHAPTER EXCERPT -- “Wait, someone might see.” Charlton said, recalling the glass window. “I’m prepared for that.” Serena replied as she bent to open her bag on the floor and then took out a film like looking sticker. “I found this at the market yesterday.” “I must say that I’m ill-prepared for this.” He noted as he furrowed his brows. Serena stood up and gave him the sticker. Then she placed her right hand on the bulge of his pants, directly gripping his erection. “Well, I must say that you’re not. Now, do place the sticker on the window.” — Serena Chen lived a life filled with love and success, while devoid of any hardship. So, when it was time to go, she went peacefully. However, as if fate was playing its game on her, she opened her eyes again only to discover that she has transmigrated as Serena Maxwell, the villainess in the novel "A Cinderella story in Victorian fantasy era" written by her very own granddaughter. Set in a Victorian-esque era, Serena Lilianne Maxwell was the only daughter of the Ducal house of Maxwell. She was rich, beautiful, a little haughty, and the fiancé of the crown prince. Every lady wants to be her, but sadly, the crown prince, Geoffrey, fell in love with Emily Evans, the daughter of an impoverished Baron. Seeing how young and beautiful she was again, her only thought was, since she already lived her past life as a normal decent lady, why not live as a semi-wanton lady of the era to fulfill her fantasies? Thus, she set her sights on her first target, Charlton Daniel, the only son of the duke of Suffox, cousin of the crown prince, and the original novel's second male lead. After some twists and turns, like any other sappy romantic story, the two inevitably fell in love. However, contrary to the novel's original plot, Geoffrey, the crown prince, who Serena was still politically engaged to, fell for her. It would have been less complicated if the engagement was not one ordained by the king, but it was. With this situation, what would Charlton and Serena have to do and what sacrifices must they make, to get to their happily ever after? Join them to find out. -- This novel will have romance, adventure, comedy, friendship, betrayal, politics, drama, smut, and so much more. (This will be a feast for historical drama and music lovers) Just for clarification, the world Serena transmigrated to is a Victorian-esque era so it's not exactly historically accurate. Timelines may be jumbled specially when it comes to some technological advances, but I try to keep them as realistic as possible. BTW, if anyone is curious about the age, this is more historically accurate. People in Victorian era marries on average, 26 for male, and never dropped lower than 22 for female. PS Cover art not mine, just edited by me PSS This is an original story I wrote — I also wish to thank Stephanie who made this MV for our Serena Charlton ship. If anyone’s interested, please just search in youtube: Serena charlton against all odds Or if you are geoffrey serena shipper she also made these MVs: Geoffrey & Serena part(1) Geoffrey & Serena part(2) Geoffrey & Serena part(3) and Geoffrey & Serena part (4) Thank you!!! — Volume 3 will be dark so if you dont like then just stop reading in volume 2.

The Lucky Farm Girl

After dying unexpectedly, she was reborn as a ten-year-old little girl in an ancient farming family, with barely a few rooms in her house and even fewer acres of land, not to mention a household of the old, weak, sick, and disabled. Fortunately, the elders in the family were kind and honest, her brothers loving and good-natured, and the neighbors harmonious and friendly. For Yang Mengchen, who had suffered from her relatives' torment and endured all sorts of mockery and scolding since she was young, this was truly a blessing from heaven. To support the family she loved, she resolutely took on the heavy responsibility of providing for them. If she, a modern corporate CEO who had once dominated the business world, couldn't feed a family, then who could? Pharmaceutical recipes, building greenhouses, opening storefronts... Not only did her family start living a comfortable and prosperous life, but she also led the surrounding villages in creating a magnificent pastoral scene! With money and fame, as she grew up, Yang Mengchen decided it was time to choose a husband, and thus, young talents from around the world began to flock to her. Who knew a grim-faced god of death would be blocking the entrance to the Yang family's home? "You're too tall, you're too short, you're too fat, you're too skinny, you're too dark, you're too pale, you're uneducated, you're deceitful and sly... All eliminated!" In a moment, the entrance was empty, and Yang Mengchen was instantly furious, "Prince, you've driven everyone away. How am I supposed to choose a husband now?" "I would like to see who dares to marry you. I wouldn't mind sending him to the Underworld as a groom!" Yang Mengchen... A certain Prince counted his merits on his fingers: "I have power, prestige, and substance, no concubines, no secret love affairs, no gallivanting— I embody the standards of a husband's three obediences and four virtues... In short, only I, this unparalleled good man, am worthy of you!" The guards: Oh wise and valiant Prince, is it really good to be so lacking in your role as a husband?

The Farm Girl's Charismatic Fortune

By Xishui River, there lived a family with the surname Ruo, whose luck was so disastrously poor that it was as if misfortune was possessed by their very souls. When other families had bountiful harvests, the Ruo Family harvested not a single grain. Their planted vegetables were devoured by insects, their chickens got chicken plague, their pigs got swine fever… Despite the household being full of strong men, they were either mad, crippled, or blind… What would have been a family of great prospects became the poorest within ten miles. The only thing that others envied about the Ruo Family was its thriving male members! The old lady of the Ruo Family had given birth to six sons, who then gave her four grandsons. She dreamt day and night of having a granddaughter. When she finally got a grandchild, to her dismay, the child was mentally disabled: at over three years old, she still couldn’t speak or walk, couldn’t even eat or relieve herself without help. Everyone thought the Ruo Family would never turn their fortunes around in this lifetime! That was until the half-old three-year-old mentally disabled child suddenly called out, “Mom…” The heavens began to change. The world began to turn mysterious. In the Ruo Family’s courtyard, the persimmons ripened overnight. The vegetables in the fields, nearly nibbled bare by insects, turned lush and green. The old hen that had never laid eggs suddenly started laying… While others faced famine, the Ruo Family’s granary was full. The eldest son was no longer mad, the second son was no longer crippled, the third son was no longer blind… The old lady of the Ruo Family, with her hands on her hips, laughed heartily to the sky, “Who says my Xuanbao is a dimwit? She’s clearly a treasure of blessings!” (This is a farming novel with a hint of fairy charm, where the female protagonist in a previous life was a just-awakened daylily that has reincarnated as a human.)
