1 Despair!

Night slowly settled in a quiet manner and bright stars began to appear.

In an unknown but vast forest, a young boy around the age of 13 was lying on the ground with his upper body leaning against a tree.

The young boy's delicate facial features were extremely pleasant to look at and his thin body appeared to be a bit frail but right now his handsome face was completely pale!

His whole body was covered with deep bloody wounds and his blood dyeing his clothes red was scattered all around . According to common sense, he should not have survived but for some reason, he was still alive!

"Is this what my fate leads to? Even after the thousands of years I spent, am I still destined to die in the end?"

The young boy desperately gasped for air and his face was filled with great despair, yet the wheel of time didn't seem care and his life kept disappearing into thin air.

Soon even his vision starting to go blind, his whole life's memories flashed in his mind.

This Young man wasn't originally from this world.

Instead, he came from an another world's planet called Earth and his name was Ling Tian, but it wasn't given to him at his birth, instead it was a name that he earned by proving his worth!

In his previous world, after millions of years of continuous development, humanity's technology had advanced leaps and bounds which made Humans the greatest and most powerful race in the whole universe!

Ling Tian in his previous life was someone who longed for immortality, in fact it could even be called an obsession, in the end, his pursuit of eternal life led him to breakthrough many barriers, allowing even the most ordinary human to live beyond thousands of years.

This made Ling Tian one of the greatest scientists to have ever existed in the history of humanity, and that's how he earned his name and ascended to the peak of popularity!

He was the role model of many, and an object of admiration and envy of all.

But the good times didn't last long because during one of his findings, Ling Tian discovered that the space of his old world was collapsing! But the rate of collapse was so slow that no one noticed!

Unable to suppress his concern, Ling Tian immediately tried to warn everyone but sadly, no one took him seriously! The godlike technology has made humans extremely overconfident and conceited, they refused believe that there was anything in this world that could harm them!

So even after Ling Tian warned then repeatedly, they refused to take him seriously.

When Ling Tian finally realized that he couldn't convince everyone, he started looking for a way to survive on his own and after years of efforts, he finally found a ray of hope!

He discovered that his world wasn't something lifeless, it was actually "alive" and it also had a consciousness that has existed since the beginning of time. This consciousness controlled the laws of the whole world as well as the life and death of every single living being!

It was the beginning of everything that existed as well as the end!

So Ling Tian called it The Origin of the world!

He knew, if there was any way of surviving the upcoming disaster, it was this!

Ling Tian soon found a way to communicate with The Origin and as expected, it did have a method that could save his life.

Even though there was nothing that could be done to save his world, but there was still a way to save his own life, that was to travel through space-time and escape to another world!

Fortunately, The Origin did have the ability to break through the barriers of space-time but there was still one big problem!

If the origin could be considered a flame then this world was the lamp and without the lamp, the flame simply cannot exist!

In other words, if the origin separated from this world even for a second then it's existence too would come to an end!

For The Origin to maintain its existence even after leaving this world, it required a new vessel!

So The Origin gave Ling Tian a solution, which was to find a way to blend his soul with it. In this way, Ling Tian's soul would act as a new vessel and they could escape this world together!

With the help of The Origin, Ling Tian spent countless years behind closed doors and he was finally able to build a device that could safely blend his soul with The Origin.

But by the time he was done, his old world was already gone, he watched the stars die and the space crumble right before his eyes, the whole universe was pitch black, without any signs of life!

Humanity had also gone extinct a long time ago due to the lack of resources!

Ridden by self blame and regret due to his inability to find another way, Ling Tian could do nothing but watch as his world began to decay.

But he also realized that he couldn't stay here anymore, so he hurriedly completed the process of becoming one with the origin, and his soul finally escaped his old world.

There was a saying in his hometown - the heart Desires but the Destiny conspires. Ling Tian's dreams were grand but not everything went as he planned.

Originally he thought that after arriving in the new world, he would get a new body and live a life without any fears, but he didn't even get any chance to breathe and he was already crying without tears!

Because maybe it was his cursed fate or maybe it was just a coincidence but the new body he just possessed was already on the verge of death! He didn't even have the time to celebrate his new life and his death anniversary was already being decided!

"I... I..." Ling Tian's eyes were filled with despair, he could feel his body slowly becoming cold, his vision was also gradually getting blurry! But just as he thought he was about to die, a robotic female voice rang out in his mind!
