"The woman has gone crazy! She's trying to put her hand in a beehive, not knowing that if something bad happens, no one would be able to be protect her! How will her husband protect her when she's is trying to harm William's family only! I can help her this time only! If she escapes from her death, then I won't help her ever again!"

Alastair was talking to himself. He was helping Lilian only halfheartedly. It wasn't that he didn't want to harm Roman, it is just that Lilian was being obstinate and rash. If he got involved, he could get implicated too.

"Dave! Go and bring the old files from the storage room, I will check all the files in the mansion first

and then check the files in the treasurer building of the palace. I hope I wouldn't have to look for

it much and get rid of that woman as soon as possible!" Alastair ordered his bodyguard.

If he remembered correctly, it was indeed true what Lilian had said.

The old General was caught in some scandal but due to his power and sources, the matter was put down within a week. Those who were involved were quietened down with money. If that was true, then Alastair could guess the line of thought of Lilian.

She would once again bring up the matter, and no one would like to hear about the misdeeds of their late parents. This will disturb Roman mentally and Alexandria would be unhappy after seeing Roman's condition.

Though he Alastair had no idea that Lilian had something in store for Alexandria as well.

It had been three days but Alastair found nothing. He only came to know that this incident happened fourteen years ago when he was twelve. Moreover, it seemed like someone had cleared all the tracks and records related to it.

[Old General Knight's power and sources shouldn't be taken lightly, he knew how to cover up everything with great caution. I need to meet with that person, that is the only option left...]

Meanwhile, Lilian invited all the elite ladies, be it the official wives or the concubines to a tea party.

Since, she held the title of main wife of General William, the younger brother of General Roman, no lady was hesitant in attending the party, moreover they were looking forward to it.

When the day of the party arrived, Alexandria didn't remember that there was a party. She woke up at ten in the morning, usually she used to be up by seven or eight, but today she was very late. Then her personal maid informed her about the tea party which would be starting in two hours. It would take half an hour to reach there. So, roughly she had one and a half hour to get ready and make the necessary preparations.

[Should I go or not? If I don't then also there won't be any problem...but...Lilian came here and insisted so much to attend the party. If I don't go, then it won't look good. Moreover Roman wanted me to make some friends here. I should go then!]

Alexandria had heard about the conspiracies that took place in such elite tea-parties. Women were envious of each other and often devised plans that could either kill their enemy or completely destroy her reputation.

Moreover, Alexandria knew that many of the young misses were unhappy with her marriage with

Roman, thus the chances of her being targeted were more. She needed to be careful in everything she does at Lilian's mansion, which included avoid eating or drinking anything which would be suspicious, venturing out alone in the mansion as well as avoid words war with other women.

After preparing her mind well, Lilian started getting ready physically and left the mansion with her personal maids and bodyguards.

Within twenty five minutes, she reached her destination. A large number of carriages were lined outside the mansion. It seemed that married as well as unmarried women of all the influential families had graced this party.

Lilian was dressed in a yellow colored gown, minimal jewelry, with her hair put into a complicated yet elegant hairstyle. As usual she looked classy and royal.

When Lilian heard that Alexandria's carriage was already outside the mansion, she hurriedly went outside, warmly greeted her, took her hand and led her into the mansion.

This was the mansion that Roman gifted on William's wedding. Alexandria had never come here before, so she was intrigued. The mansion was beautiful with fountains, gardens, trees and flowers, though it was not as large as her mansion, nonetheless it was charming in it's own way, a perfect place for newly weds. Roman didn't know that William would like the mansion so much, that he would shift here permanently with his bride.

"So...do you like our humble dwelling? It was a gift by brother-in-law. I tried to maintain it really well

but I couldn't keep it as pretty as your mansion..." Lilian didn't shy away in saying this in front of

other ladies. Alexandria thought cautiously and answered "This is a very pretty place and you have

maintained it since your marriage...very nicely, it is charming!" The women around, listening to them

didn't trace any malice or hard feelings...
