53 Restarting Again!

Elias selected the best Charcoals and threw them into the Foundry and set them on fire!

With a wide smile and satisfaction, he used one hand to pull and push the Blower which ignited the fire more, until the Charcoals were Embers.

Then he took the bowl he considered Crucible and slid it in-between the Embers. He took some scrap metals with low melting points and threw them in the Crucible.

There was a flat rock that he had prepared as the lid, he used it to cover the Foundry. He sighed and placed his hand on the Blower and pulled and pushed, blowing air into the Foundry!

To Elias, he felt alive and happy to have performed such a simple mechanism.

Zing

"Good my reward!"

[Outer Sand is reacting with Local Fire]

Elias frowned. "What does that mean?"

<Trapped it in the Forcefield>

<Use the Fog and trapped them together>

It was urgent due to the way the island wrote it. Elias jumped back and with a thought and a stinging pain, the Force-field Dome minimized and trapped the Foundry. And then the Fog he had kept in a hole floated out and seeped into it.

Elias' head agonized after forcefully confining the Force field like that but nothing happened.

He was about to relax when his head hit with a terrifying pang and he blanked out. The pain was almost similar to when he first merged with an Island. Almost!

A few minutes later he woke up dizzy. He tried looking around but he saw things in two and three. He went back to lying on the Sand for more minutes before he sat again.

The headache was still there but there was no dizziness.

Within the miniature Force field, things were floating around. The Fog had thinned out and when he made it seep out and back to the hole he was able to see what was floating!

It was the chard Foundry, metals, and the Crucible. But gradually, under the watchful eyes of Elias, those parts that seemed to stand strong began to break apart and become chunks, black dust and grains.

And they settled down on the Sand. The Force field returned to normal size and the burden was lifted off him.

Elias locked off his emotions and thought about how to continue without screaming in anger. He smiled, this boring life isn't so boring.

"I like it, easy!"

Now, he had to start from scratch.

Elias jumped back to work again and the day passed just like that.

The Metal Ores formed by the island have high metal content as most of them have shiny metal feel on them.

Above that, they also melt easily—that was why Elias has an easier time melting them and bashing them to make a bowl.

But the more they were processed the harder they became and also hard to melt. And for them, Elias was making a better Foundry than before based on his experience.

Elias took his time in three days to make the best possible Foundry and Crucible. Along the way, he made other tools that will make his work easier. He also made spare Foundry and Crucible!

The truth was what hurt Elias the most was his waste of water. But what he dreaded was causing another explosion. So he made sure that he took away all the crumbs from the explosion.

And also made sure in the mixture, White Sand and Outer Sand were not included.

Elias stood staring at the Foundry with fire-lit charcoal inside, hoping he had not made the same mistake.

He pulled the Blower after it was filled with air, he pushed it after he closed the air inlet— the air blew through the tube and reached the metal pipe, igniting the charcoals!

As the embers' increased, Elias' heart beat with the anxiety of it exploding again. Seeing nothing happened, he threw in some metal scraps and closed it. And kept blowing air and adding charcoal for ten minutes.

He then checked and found some metals had melted. He blew air for more minutes before it melted completely. Using two thin numbers, he picked up the Crucible.

Gently, he tried to pour it into the fine-sand mould. But it tumbled. He sighed and tried to salvage it but he couldn't. Then he just allowed the melted iron to dry on the sand.

Again, he placed scrap Irons into the Crucible and prepared another mould.

The next time it worked out well. But there was still room for improvement.

"Improve Iron bar by removing all impurity"

Elias asked after entering the shop. He thought it would be fast but it wasn't, it took 20 minutes of waiting.

"It isn't good, that's why it took so long to improve and I have to pay 1000 Points" Elias grumbled.

He sat staring at the blue sky that should have given him comfort after the Foggy sky for months, but it wasn't given to him now!

He looked down and glanced at the Wood he burnt to obtain Charcoal.

"Maybe I can use it to shape my mould," he mumbled, but he needed a Saw to cut it, and Scraper to shape it.

The next thing he made was a crude Saw and Scarper which he sacrificed a lot of Points to generally improved, sharpened them and made them tough.

Admiring the good steel he spent the most Point making, Elias grab the red-brown, shoulder-length and 5cm thick wood,

He placed the Saw on the 5cm thick side and began cutting. The Saw was sharp and good, it easily cut through, but suddenly water jetted out of the cut section and slammed into Elias's eyes.

AHHHH!!!

He screamed and scrambled back mindlessly, using both his hands to remove the liquid.

Bang!

His body hit the force field, and thankfully it stopped him from falling into the Foggy Sea below!
