Welcome to my life, my name is Eowyn. Nice to meet everyone, growing up in the zombie apocalypse isn't easy. Especially when your group is decreasing by the day. Our supplies are dwindling; we are really struggling to survive.

Eowyn lifted up his pencil and erased the mistakes he made. He was on the rooftop of an apartment complex, staring at the view of the undead; which seemed to never really decay after 20 years in the wasteland, he was only 17. After he lost his parents back at the community he previously stayed at a few months back, zombies overran it and he despised them for it.

Eowyn's black hair flowed around in the wind; his red eyes darted over to a girl, blonde hair and blue eyes. "How are you holding up, Wyn?" She sat next to him, their legs dangling on the edge. He closed the journey immediately and shoved it into his bag. "Can we stop asking that question every time one of us dies?"

The girl frowned. "I'm just checking up on y-" Eowyn glared at her. "Chloe, just leave him be. He was close with Coco." An older male spoke, he leaned against the door back into the apartment complex. Chloe sighed and walked over to the man. "I know, I'm just making sure he doesn't kill himself." She murmured so that Eowyn wouldn't hear.

"I'm glad you're keeping that kid from doing stupid shit. But he just lost someone dear to him, again. Coco was always there for him." The man looked over at the alleyway that was on the other side, staring at a corpse of a girl; the zombies walked away from her. "She's turning soon." He grabbed his rifle and locked in a makeshift bullet, aiming it at the girl.

Chloe looked over at the edge, the girl coughed out a lot of blood and began to twitch rapidly, their bones cracked as they made inhuman forms; finally she stood up and growled, Eowyn looked over at the man aiming the gun downwards, due to grief and disbelief his eyes widened. "NO, HUDSON! DON'T!" Eowyn screamed and sprinted over, trying to stop Hudson from killing her. "SHE TURNED!" Chloe stood in front of Hudson.

Their yelling will attract the zombies, they didn't have time to block the apartment complex door. And now Hudson shooting Coco will alert zombies from miles away. "HUDSON! DON'T SHO-" Coco lifted her head up, her short blue hair waving left and right as she stared blankly at Hudson, her eyes were grey. As if there wasn't life in them anymore.

Eowyn quickly got past Chloe and tried to grab Hudson, she quickly grabbed his arms and tried to pull him back. "STOP YOU WILL ALERT TH-" a tear rolled down his face, Coco turned her head slowly to Eowyn, a faint smile formed across her face and that's when he realized something. "WAI-" Hudson pulled the trigger as the bullet went straight through Coco's head, blood splattered across the floor; she stumbled back and fell into a pile of opened up garbage bags.

The zombies in the city turned their heads towards the gunshots and hundreds of screeches were heard; they began to sprint towards the apartment complex, 2 other boys ran over, Alex and Oliver. Both of them were 18. "THE ZOMBIES! THEY'RE COMING! WE HAVE TO GO!" Alex screamed, tears rolled down Eowyn's face. "You've killed us all, old man." Eowyn gave up, Chloe's eyes widened. Hudson ignored him and grabbed the doorknob. "Let's go!" Hudson yelled, shooting a glare at Eowyn, they have had past conflicts before.

Chloe followed Hudson and Oliver grabbed Eowyn by the arm. "Let's go!" Oliver yelled, Alex pulled out his machete and followed, he nodded and grabbed his spear from the ground before running down the stairs, gunshots ringing from down below, Oliver followed close behind him with his pistol.

Hudson ran down the stairs and stared at the large group of zombies running up the stairs, he looked around and spotted the door, with a 5 sign over it. "SHIT THIS WAY!" He screamed and opened the door to floor 5.

Chloe followed as Alex ran past her but a zombie tackled him to the ground. "CHLOE HELP ME!" Alex screamed before the zombie bites into his leg; Chloe aimed her bow at the zombie; the growls of zombies scared her off. "I'm sorry…" Chloe ran off, following Hudson.

Eowyn and Oliver made their way to floor 5, Oliver aimed his gun and fired it, killing a zombie. "GO FIRST!" He yelled at Eowyn and he nodded, sprinting down the stairs and opening the door to see a zombie munching on Alex's leg, blood gushed out of the bite as he screamed in pain. Oliver almost made it before a tsunami of zombies tackled him into the wall and feasted on him, all Eowyn could hear was Oliver's screams of pain before the door closed which muffled his screams of agony.

"Shit!" Eowyn sprinted over to Alex and swung his spear across the zombie's head, knocking it over. He noticed the other zombies, and Alex shoved Eowyn away. "RUN!" Alex yelled. "I'M A GONER!" In a split second a group of zombies surrounded Alex and began feeding on him, he screamed in pain. "I'M SORRY MOM!" Alex screamed.

Eowyn stood up and sprinted towards the end of the hall, he saw Chloe and Hudson, Chloe was in the process of getting out of a window, they were going to scale the building, shit. "CHLOE!" Eowyn yelled, Chloe turned to look at him, however he couldn't see her face. Hudson looked over. "CHLOE GO!" Hudson yelled and she nodded, scaling the building as Hudson clenched the rifle and butted Eowyn across the face. "I'm sorry, but we have to have a distraction." Hudson frowned, Eowyn clenched his face and stared at Hudson. "WHY!"

Hudson snickered. "Because." He shot Eowyn in the leg so he couldn't get up. "You're a pain in the ass." The bullet hit his knee which caused Eowyn to scream in pain, Hudson then shot a few zombies. Probably to cover his tracks; he sprinted to the window and climbed out of it, glancing at Eowyn one last time before disappearing from view.

Eowyn clenched his leg as blood gushed out, he stared at the zombies. "I'm sorry… Coco… I'm sorry mom… dad, I'm sorry Chloe…" Eowyn closed his eyes, he gave up. There was no point in fighting anymore.

Coco and Eowyn sat on what seemed to be a guard post, they were in a community and the walls were made out of metal. "So you like someone?" Coco snickered, he jumped out of his chair and blushed. "N-NO!"

She chuckled, Coco always knew when Eowyn was lying. "I know you're bullshitting." She rested a hand on her jaw and stared directly at Eowyn as he calmed down, sitting back on the chair. "It's Chloe. Don't tell anyone…"

She grinned. "Does your parents know about your secret love interest, mm?" She stared up at the nightly sky. "'No." He turned to Coco. "Do you have-" he shook his head. "Do I have what?" She teased and smiled.

Eowyn twiddled with his fingers. "Do you love someone?" Coco giggled. "Yes, yes I do." Eowyn looked at the sky. "Yeah, really." Coco hopped out of her chair and walked over, kissing Eowyn on the cheek. "It's you… goofball."

Eowyn opened his eyes and he narrowed his eyebrows. "I can't… die yet!" He stood up slowly, raising his spear. His spear didn't outmatch the zombies though. Eowyn sunk his spear into a zombie's skull before turning around, a zombie sprinted over and bit into his neck, blood seeped out before the zombie took out a chunk of his flesh. His eyes widened, he turned to the zombie. It was Alex; he had already turned.

"Ale…" Eowyn stumbled against the hallway walls and slumped over as the zombies now focused on Chloe and Hudson, they jumped out of the window. Ultimately ending their own lives.

Memories flooded his mind, the virus hit him already. His vision began to fade, he coughed out blood and fell to his side. Soon enough he twitched and did the same thing Coco did, an inhuman form.

Chloe made it to a stairway on the side of the building, she turned around and expected Eowyn to be there with them. Her eyes widened. "Where is Eowyn?" Hudson frowned. "Zombies got him, I tried to save him." Chloe helped Hudson over and tears dribbled down her face. "Oh…."

Her heart felt like it shattered into millions of pieces. Eowyn was gone now, she couldn't believe it. "Let's go back to camp…" Hudson sighed, she nodded. "I'm sorry… Eowyn." She walked down the stairs.

Eowyn opened his eyes, they were the same colour as the other zombies. He stood up and looked around. "Where am I?" He thought to himself. He couldn't remember himself, nor where he was. He was confused, but he couldn't speak. He couldn't call out for help, not even the other zombies paid attention to him. "Help me." He thought to himself. "Please… help me…"
