Chapter 19:

After making to offer to work for free, Marcus, Brian, and Prue left. Claire sent them back with a small batch of cookies. Marcus and Prue continued to ignore each other after they left, but the truth is that in their minds, they couldn't have been closer. Brian couldn't stand the fact that they have yet to realize that they liked each other. By the time they were done at the bookstore, it was already sunset. Across the street from the bookstore was Wish Park. This part symbolizes the greatest Urban Legend Love. It was about a young girl and a young boy who were madly in love. Their passion burned within their hearts, bu they knew it could never be. For he was destined to marry her sister and she was to marry another man. They have split apart to their families wishes. Soon before her wedding, he couldn't help but see her one last time before she was given away to another man. They met outside the church doors where she was to be given away by her father. That's when they decided to run away. Neither of them could stand being away from the other. They were two separate forces pulled towards each other due to fate. Both of them wanted to die in each other's arms because they knew that there was no way they could be together on this earth. That's when they decided to run where they first met. It was a small lake, around the lake were lots of cherry blossom trees. The cherry blossoms flew onto the water as they both walked into the lake hand in hand. If they were to die, they would have wanted it to be together.

Prue stared at the park as Brian and Marcus talked about where Marcus would work. In a daze, she stared at the sunset which reflected off Wish Lake. The golden sun looked like a portal leading to heaven over the water. Suddenly Brian tapped her shoulder.

"Hey, it's getting late. Let's go home, Marcus will be joining us for dinner."Brian said smiling.

To this Marcus and Prue were surprised. Brian had not even asked Marcus to dinner, but it was his idea of being a good wingman. Brian smirked to the idea as their car pulled up. Prue blushed as Brian suddenly grabbed her shoulder and faced her towards Marcus. Marcus blushed as well, but at the same time, this was repeating in his mind. Getting closer to her seemed to enable at this point. It was unavoidable, especially with Windham Brian. Marcus got into the car and scooted to the very edge. Prue followed behind him but stayed by the door. Brian sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Are you going to scoot over?" Brian asked.

Prue suddenly glared at him with rage. Brian knew what she was thinking, "I HATE YOU!", but she would be okay. Prue then slowly scooted over to Marcus, very slowly. Trying to keep her distance, Brina got impatient and got in. As he did, he quickly shoved her closer to Marcus. Marcus suddenly felt a warm body on top of his. Prue's head was leaning against his chest as she firmly grasped his shirt. Her hair was inches away from his nose so he could smell the sweet flower aroma extending from her locks. One of her hands was placed right over his. Her smooth fingers almost entangled with his as they laid still. Brian snickered as they leaned on one another.

Poof!

Marcus and Prue were suddenly tomatoes. Both of their hearts sped up like race cars on the long race track called: Life. Prue could hear his heartbeat. It felt like a small bomb getting ready to explode. With every tick, the more it repeated in her heart. It was another song to add to her album. Then she quickly lifted her head and let go of Marcus. Both of them looked away and continued to blush. After a few seconds, they began to smile. Neither of them knew what that feeling was about, but it felt great.
