Chapter 15:Wingman Brian

The three of them continued to awkwardly sip their tea in silence. Marcus and Prue were speechless due to the unbelievable story. Brian grew a smile with how happy his story got. Marcus and Prue had finished their drinks and awkwardly sat and waited for someone to speak. Brian was sure they liked each other, though they weren't obvious enough to see it themselves. A blush crept into the corners of Marcus's and Prue's cheeks as the silence grew longer. Brian grew more and more irritated that neither of them would speak. The cafe was going to close in half an hour and neither of them has said a word, yet. He had no choice, Brian had to use one of the most cliche ways to exit the room.

"I have to go to the bathroom!" Brian said awkwardly.

Brian looked at Marcus and winked awkwardly. Glaring as Brian left, Marcus smiled a little. Marcus wasn't sure about his true feelings, but even though they only met the other day, he's sure that his feelings for her aren't normal. There is definitely something between them, but neither of them wanted to admit it until they were sure. By the way, Prue felt the exact same way. Both of them were smiling lightly as they looked down. The window next to them let out a glow which brightened their faces like two long lost stars who had finally found each other. It sounds cliche and somewhat boring, but it doesn't change the way they feel.

Meanwhile, Brian is waiting in a bathroom stall doing nothing so he can give them time to speak. Brian was trying to take the part of a wingman. The very thought about it made him smile with joy. His new friend and sister hooking up made him proud to be their wingman. Imagine being the waiters watching someone walk into the bathroom and not walk out for another ten minutes, it would be pretty weird. Brian brought out his phone and texted Marcus. Marcus and Brian exchanged numbers at the house before Prue woke up. Speaking of that, how did Marcus end up in the house anyway, well, this is how it happened….

Marcus was walking to the store to buy some groceries for his home since his father was on a business trip. As he left the store, Brian happened to be passing by.

"Marcus?!" Brian yelled out his window.

Marcus looked up and felt slightly annoyed.

Nodding his head Marcus walked up to Brian's car and they greeted each other. Looking into Marcus's grocery bag, Brian's eyes grew wide.

"That's a lot of food! Do you have a job?" Brian asked smiling.

"No," Marcus replied in a cold tone.

Brian suddenly remembered last night and knew that he too needed a job.

"Prue and I need a job too, wanna come with us to look for some?" Brian offered kindly.

Marcus didn't like to socialize, but he did need a job. Nodding, he got into the car and drove back to the house with Brian.

Now we're here, Brian about to text Marcus to see if either of them had said anything. Looking at his screen, Brian changed his mind. It would be better to just go, if they won't talk here, they would somewhere else. Plus, they still had to look for Prue and Marcus's jobs. Brian walked out of the restrooms and glanced at them. Both of them were scooted to the window, across from each other, staring outside. Both of them had smiles on and looked calm. Brian hated to ruin this moment, but the day was almost over. Brian began to make his way to their booth when knocked into someone.
