1 First snow

It was winter and unexpectedly the coldest day. Still on the coldest day life didn't stop just there, people were still walking and rushing such a hassle on such a cold day. Some might still be at home with a cup of hot chocolate enjoying their favorite show and some might waiting at some cafe for their friends to show up.

And this couple unluckily was one of them.

"What are you thinking?" Theo was staring at Aroma and knowing her he knew she was really anxious and nervous.

Aroma tried to hide her nervousness as she faked her smile "Nothing, It's just my drink is finished. I want more coffee"

Theo sighed as he wipes extra cream off from her lips, he could clearly see through her fake smile "Babe, do you know that you drink coffee a lot when you are nervous?"

Aroma dumbfoundedly looked at him, Theo smiled as he looks into her eyes "Tell me, what are you thinking about?"

Aroma wasn't even surprised this time, Theo always read her like a book understanding her every flaw as if he knew her from forever. Taking a deep breath and not holding back her uneasiness she looked into his eyes as she speaks trying her best to not break her smile "I am worried that she... She might not come"

A hint of guilt flash into his eyes and quickly vanished in a split of seconds "You don't need to worry, I am sure she will come"

Aroma looked at him she was still nervous because of what happened years back she doesn't think she will come.

Before Theo could say anything more to comfort her suddenly her phone ringed and without even hesitating she picks up the call.

Though she picked it up quickly she had no idea what to do or say, it was like her voice suddenly disappeared. After a complete silence that lasted to good one minute. Finally, a voice comes from another side of the call.

"Where are you? I am in front of the cafe you told me to come"

"Ah! we are inside on the seat near the w-indow" Aroma quickly said trying her best to not shutter.

Aroma and Theo both looked toward the entrance of the cafe their eyes waiting for her to show up. And expectedly their eyes meet hers as soon as she entered the cafe. An awkward smile appeared on both of their faces and there was a look of relief in both of their eyes as they looked at her.

While they both were trying their best to ease the awkward situation, Arinya just sat there in front of them not even trying to put in any effort. Her long black hair were resting on her back she was wearing a black coat over her matt black suit looking like she came straight from her work. Her skin was glowing like some rare sea pearl, her black big eyes were staring straight at the couple, her soft lips were straight in thin line she wasn't even trying to put up a fake smile. She was beautiful and the way she carries herself and her confidence make her even more attractive, it would be no surprise if one thought of her as a model.

"I am here, let's wrap this up quickly," Arinya said in a cold yet calm voice

Aroma trying her best to keep up with her smile, "Yea, you must be bus-"

But before Aroma could say anything more, Theo cut her off as he said calmly "You just come here, let's stay for a while"

Aroma nod and continued "Yeah, it been so long that we have talked"

Arinya didn't respond at all and just sat there still letting silence sink in.

Seeing no response from her. Theo spoke up again to break the ice and to finally say to her what he wants "Arinya, I know what happened back then was my fault. I am really sorry but just think it wasn't Aroma's fault, she has done nothing wrong. She was just-"

Arinya cut him off as she stared coldly at him "I am too tired to think about that and we all know what's done is done, so let's not waste time on unnecessary things"

Seeing the sudden fall in the situation, Aroma quickly changed the topic "Did Jess told you?"

Arinya looked back at Aroma, her face was still as if there were no emotions inside her.

Aroma smiled as she told her "We are getting married" sliding the wedding card towards her she continued "I hope you will join us, I-I will wait for you"

Arinya stared at the wedding invitation for a while before looking back at Aroma "Congrats but-"

Aroma cut her off knowing her response, "You don't have to say anything right now, give it a thought. It's okay if you don't want to come but if you will I will be happy."

Arinya didn't say anything and just stared at the wedding invitation quietly.

"Oh, it's snowing"

"Yea it's snowing"

Hearing kid's voices from the next seat the three of them stared out of the window. slowly-slowly snow was falling from the sky, for a moment Arinya almost forgets where she was while staring at the snow.

"Isn't this is the first snow?", Aroma voice brings her back to reality,

Theo nod and replied, "Yeah. It's the first snow".
