3 A Dark House

Entering her house Arinya straight walked into the kitchen grab herself some water, there was no light in the house it was pitch dark if a random person entered they might definitely trip and fall twice before even making it in. Pouring some water into the glass she walked outside holding the glass.

Sitting down on her study table she lit up her computer. Finally, her room got light up a bit, the dim light of her computer falls on her room walls, it was clean and knit maybe because there wasn't much too clean. All she had in her room was a bed, a shelf filled with books, and the study table she was sitting on. People say a room of a person speaks a lot about them, I wonder what they will say when they look at hers.

She tries to read her emails but her mind was filled with thoughts. She took the last sip of water keeping the glass down with the last two ones that were there from the last few weeks. Taking off her coat and after hanging it behind the chair she put her hair in a bun holding it up with a help of a pen.

She tried her best to concentrate and read the emails but she simply couldn't focus.

She stood up in frustration changing her clothes to some comfortable ones she walks out of the room to the living room. Her head was hurting because of all those thoughts that she doesn't want to think about but she just couldn't stop these voices in her head. When she heard some buzzing sound coming from the kitchen turning on the lights, looking for the source of the voice her gaze finally landed on her purse. She opened it as she takes out her phone, there were 30 missed calls from Jess.

She sighed looking at her as it started ringing again. Seeing it's a facetime she walked back to her living room picking it up she turned on the lights and sat down on the couch while Jess shouted on the call in the background.

"WHAT THE HECK WERE YOU EVEN DOING?!!!"

"I CALLED YOU SO MANY TIMES. FOR GOD SAKE, BE ALIVE"

Though Jess already knew that its a waste to shout at her, but she couldn't help. She was the only club member left that Arinya still talks to sometimes and that also was possible because she always followed Arinya everywhere she could.

Jess shouted again seeing Arinya just blankly staring at her "ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME?!"

Arinya sighed she didn't even realize that spaced out again, she finally focused on Jess, She has black curly hair with perfect brown skin. Her eyes were blue while she was wearing nude lipstick. Jess was the definition of beauty in Arinya's dictionary.

Jess scoffed as she said with a pout "Liar, You never listen to me"

Ignoring what Jess just said Arinya straight come to the point knowing what Jess actually wants to talk about, "If you called to know if I met them or not, then yes I did"

"Oh"

Arinya caught her off guard that she didn't even know what she was supposed to say next.

The awkward silence start getting on Jess's nerves as shouted in frustration all pouty telling her "Ahh! Why do you have to bring that up like that? Now I don't even know what to say."

Arinya didn't say anything and just silently looked at her, her black eyes staring at her were making Jess nervous "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I am" she answered without batting an eye.

She was worried and it was clearly looking by the change of her tone and the way her eyes turned soft as she asked "Did she invite you to the wedding?"

"Yea, she did"

Jess avoided asking more about it as she changes it to the club reunion "What about club reunion? Did she told you about it?"

Arinya just nods thinking about the club reminds her about everyone, but Jess's question makes her stick to reality before she could get lost in her thoughts.

"Are you gonna come?"

Arinya didn't say anything as she just smiled looking at her.

Jess couldn't help but be even more worried but knowing Arinya wouldn't like it she quickly smiled as she said "It's okay if you don't wanna come just give it a thought" She grinned as she added "But if you feel comfortable to join then I will see you at our old place"

She winked playfully as she ended the call waving a goodbye.

As soon as the call ended it was like everything sank inside a black hole in complete silence she couldn't even hear the clock tick-tock as she just sat there staring at her phone letting the memories tear her apart.
