2 The journey and delay

It seemed to be about early morning when I finally took a stop to rest, I had been running for hours towards the scent of the castle and its still many mes away. "I should take a nap to regain my energy." I thought, letting a yawn escape from my maw. My white eyes flicker around looking for a spot to rest, then I saw it. There was a small cave, just large enough for me to fit in. I dashed forward, and under trees as I finally made my way to the cavern, it was small and the floor was very grassy with some moss here and there, though it is a good place to rest.

Then I heard growling, a bear. I grumbled before dashing into the woods, no way in hell would I be facing a bear today. I kept my pace to a light sprint as I made my way through the thicket of forest. My lungs burned, my muscles screamed, and my heart was pounding, though I knew I couldn't stop. Not with that huge grizzly on my track, with that kind of motivation I could keep moving for hours. I pinned my audits back as I heard the beating of paws getting closer, in a swift motion I jumped onto a large Boulder. Bad idea. The grizzly managed to grab my haunches and pull me to the ground, smacking my maw on the way down. I let a low growl escape my maw as I quickly moved onto my back, clawing at the bears chest. The bear yepled in pain, before he swung at me. I just barely dodged earning myself a deep cut across my muzzle. Snarling, I bit at his open jugular, earning a loud Roar from him as well as a swipe to my side. I grunted before the grizzly fell limp, allowing me to escape.

Two days later

I huffed, relieved that I had at last found the castle. My jogging pace picked up into a labored sprint when I heard the purring of the kings vehicles. They have to take caution around this road, it's very narrow and twisty. I let a wolfish grin spread itself across my muzzle, as I softly sprinted down the dirt road to the castle, being careful of my tender scars, I let my paws carry me as fast as I could just to arrive before the cars. It should take them about two hours, three at most, or longer. Suddenly, an idea bounced into my head, I started digging a large, deep trench that will take hours for the vehicles to get around, giving me plenty of time to reach the castle. I smirked, proud of my three foot trench as I made my way out. My black pelt was now covered in dirt from just beneath my shoulders down, "Dang it! As if the blood wasn't enough." I thought. I shook the dirt off, trying to make myself slightly more presentable and started sprinting again.

After about an hour, or so I finally made it to the front entrance. The gate was huge, it probably stood at ten to twelve feet tall. It had two metal wolves facing each other and howling in a sitting position at the top, one wolf on each side. The stone walls were graced with some moss here and there, it looked very nice in my opinion. "November Warren, Beta of the Blood Moon Pack and adopted daughter of Alpha Reed." I informed, mind-linking the guards. They both nodded to each other and the large gate started to open, granting me entrance. I gave a nod of appreciation to the guards before trotting to the door, which was left open, probably so the guards could change shift easily.

"Hello, November! We've been expecting you." A female wolf said to me. "Why are people who live here always so...cheery." I thought, eyeing the woman. Slowly I shifted back into my 4'11 human form, dirt and dried blood falling to the ground as I shifted. "My name is Christian, but you can just call me Tris." The seemingly 5'11" female informed. Her hair was dark, though not as dark as my own, beneath her shoulders, and she had blue eyes. Tris's pale skin was accompanied by a black shirt, black leggings, and black shoes. I grinned, looking to my matching attire, "Please show me where I can wash myself." I stated. "Alrighty, come with me." Tris replied, taking my wrist and going down many halls before we stopped at two, large dark oak doors, enlaced with gold and diamonds.

I shifted my gray orbs to Tris's blue ones and she only offered a shrug. I slowly poked the door open to be met with marble floors like everywhere else here, a large black leather sofa in front of a huge TV, near there was a large kitchen with granite counters, and state of the art cookware. I grinned taking in the fantastic sight. "First door to your left, then turn right in the room." Tris's voice rung out, before she walked away.

Following her instructions, I was met with a huge bed that had curtains that could conceal the whole bed if it was desired. The floors were a black wood, accenting the green painted walls, the bed had a black blanket with green sheets and pillowcases. On the left was a huge bay window with green cushions and black curtains. I'll check that out later, for now I have to get my saddle bags off and shower. Walking into the bathroom, I saw a large shower, a toilet and a sink with a mirror. The toilet and sink were gold, while the shower glass was tinted green.

I grinned before stripping my saddle bags off and picking out a black blouse, black jeans and black platform open toe heels. Formal enough, I shrugged before stripping and entering the shower. Although the cold water bit at my skin and fresh scars, I paid no mind to it because it could have been much worse.

After I was clean, I dried myself and my now lavendar smelling hair before dressing myself once again.
