3 Leaving

Good work today, everyone." I nodded to my team as we brought the fresh kills into the pack territory. The time was now 0600, and most of the pack was awake now. "We're back. We brought down a doe and buck." I mind-linked Alpha Reed, while I helped set down the food me and my team brought back. Soon after, we shifted back into our skins. "All of you, go take a shower. You smell, and remember to dress formal. We have a special visitor." Alpha Reeds silky voice piped up from behind us. Dallas, Chase, and Rafe got onto one knee and bared their necks in submission, I lightly nodded my head barely feeling his power. The Alpha nodded, and started to walk to the largest pack house, most often called the main hall. I let a soft sigh escape my lips, and started trotting to the Alpha house. "Everyone, you have one hour to prepare. Please make sure to shower and dress formal, then meet in the main hall and take your respective seats." I heard Alpha Reed tell everyone through a general mind-link. Once I reached my shared house, I dashed into my room and closed the door. To my right was a large bay window along with my oak desk next to it, to my left is my queen sized bed with a nightstand and lamp next to it. Straight ahead of me is my wardrobe, which is next to my bathroom door. I trot to my wardrobe and pick out a white button up, black slacks, and black two inch open toe platform heels. At the bottom of my wardrobe is a black folded towel, which I nab before heading to my bathroom.

I turned the water on cold, conditioning myself in case I have to bathe in cold water while on a mission. In a quick minute I had my hair scrubbed, the dirt rinsed from my body, and I got lavender body wash and let its scent seep into my skin. Once I finished, I turned the water off and quickly dried myself and my hair. After I was sure every inch of my skin was no longer damp, I pulled on a sports bra and underwear, then I did my button up, and pulled my slacks on along with my heels. Luckily, my black nail polish hasn't chipped yet. I walked to my full-body mirror, and saw a fair skinned, black haired, gray eyed girl staring back at me.

I let a puff of air escape my lips as I grabbed my dark blue hair drier and turned it on. After a few minutes my hair was finally dry, I brushed it out and put it in a tight, high ponytail. It brushed just passed my waist, and some strands fell out, framing my face.

I held my head high, as I walked into the mainhall and to the table in front of everyone. Since I was the beta I was on the left of the alpha, signifying my rank. I ignored the dirty glances I got from everyone as some bowed at the waist, and some nodded. Once I was at my respective seat, I glanced around the large circle shaped room, there were three doors, the entrance directly in front of the tables, and the two across from each other that the human slaves come from. The black wooden floor accented the dark brown walls and glass dome ceiling nicely, in my opinion.

"Good evening everyone," Reed boomed, sliding into his chair. "Thank you for coming. Unfortunately our guest had more important issues to attend to in the high kingdom, but have no fear! He emailed me a copy of everyone who was selected to help him with the threats to his kingdom. I know those of you with mates and children will most likely stay, I will not force you to leave. I will understand those of you who stay. Now, for those who were selected, I'll be going alphabetically by last name." He informed, though I tuned him out until he reached our shared surname. "And last but not least, November Warren. Although three hundred may seem a large number for our six hundred pack, most have mates and children who will decide to stay. You all leave tomorrow at dawn for those who decide to leave." The alpha stated, glancing at me knowing I'll go.  I simply nod back at him, before leaving to get my things packed. "November, you will be taking the kings car to his kingdom. I have referred you to him personally, so he wants to meet you straight off the bat when you get there. He said it would be faster than if you were to run with everyone else." Reed mind-linked me. "Tell him I'm not a helpless runt, I'm the fastest and will be at his kingdom before the cars." I growled, slightly annoyed. "By the way, I'm leaving tonight to get a head start. Just don't tell him that, please." I added, packing my saddle bags with my toothbrush, two sets of formal clothes, and four of normal clothes, my phone with a charger, food and water in one bag, on the other side I packed two pistols, throwing knives, rope, ammo, and a lighter. No one had to know about that. I loosely put the bag around my middle and shifted, the bag slightly slumped on my sides because of my small frame.

I kicked one of my hindelegs up and tightened the strap, so it was snug enough it wouldn't fall off easily. "Goodbye Reed, for now at least." I mind-linked my adoptive father before trotting out of the house and into the woods. I quickly put my mental walls up to close the mind-link, to avoid distractions. I could make it to the castle in a day if I sprinted all night and all day, though my rations probably wouldn't last if I did that. I could still make it before the cars if I trotted and ran, though that would take two days.

Option number two it is.
