7 Chapter 6: Bracelet

"What do you wanted to talk to about, Fiona?"

"Take a sit first." I said.

He took a sit with one of the chairs and looked at me with full of curiosity in his eyes and expression.

"You've been sent here to help me, right?" I asked to start the conversation.

"Yeah, why?"

"Uhm... I uh... Can... can you please help me find money?" I asked, was a little bit shy.

"Sure. Where? And how much do you need?" he asked.

"About 400 dollars." I replied.

"Oh. Where can we get it?"

"I don't know. I have to pay for the rent before 6 pm or else I'm homeless."

"Geez!"

"You're powers aren't back yet?" I asked, hoping that it came back already.

"Nope. Yet, I have no power to make money." he answered.

"Gosh! What should we do now?" I asked, losing hope.

I did nothing but just walking and walking inside of my old small room. Thinking of something that I can do to earn money.

I looked at Rojen who's busy eating grilled chicken and sticky rice when I remembered that he owned a golden bracelet that I think costs much and an idea popped out of my head.

"Rojen, I know you're a star right? You're my hero and the kindest star I know. You'll do everything to protect and save me, right?" I'm trying to be sweet as I can.

"What are you doing?" He asked as if I'm doing something that can make him puke.

"May I pledge your golden bracelet in order for me to get money for the rent? I promise I'll let you live here as long as you wanted." I said and looked at the bracelet on his wrist.

"What?! No! It is very important to me." he shook his head and hid his bracelet from me.

"I know. We can still claim it once we had enough money. Please, Rojen. My star, My hero, The kindest star I know." I said, trying my best to make him agree.

"No!"

"Please?"

"Big, big no!"

"If you won't agree then maybe I'll just going to sleep at the street tonight. It was so dangerous there knowing there are lots of theives and maybe I get raped! I don't know what to do. I don't know where to get money. Huhuhu." I am making my voice to look like I was about to cry and doing an self pity.

I faked a cry and making him feel conscience towards me. But it seems like he doesn't care at all.

"Aren't you going to say something?" I asked while faking a sniff.

"But it was very important to me." he whispered.

"I told you we can still get it once we had enough money. I'll find extra jobs to pay you. Or you wanted me to kneel down and beg in front of you?"

I walked in front of me. I was going to kneel down but I did it slowly to give him enough time to feel conscience and I think it worked.

"No. Don't do that." he stopped me.

"Then please help me."

"Fine. In one condition."

"Anything!"

"You won't lie, won't steal and everything that is bad. It's not good for you. If ever you do that, Stars won't grant your wish." he said, trying to threat me.

"I promise. I won't." I said.

I was hesitant at first but I really need money right now.

He was hesitant to take off his golden bracelet but he still gave it to me.

"I promise, I'll come back once I get the money. Don't go out, okay? Don't make any noise so that Ms. Letty won't hear you." I reminded him.

"Take care of yourself and don't show off your money to public. It's dangerous." he said.

"Mmm. Thank you!!"

I closed the door and walk pass through the entrance door.

I told Ms. Letty that I'll get money for the rent.

I waited for about five minutes until I found a taxi to ride on. I told the driver the address to where I can pledge this bracelet and after ten minutes of travel, we reached the house of someone I knew.

I tapped the doorbell and someone let me inside of the house.

"Hey, Fiona, it's been a long time since you came here." he said with a devil smirk on his face. I already know what he thinks. That already made me puke.

"Not interested on your horny d*ck, Mr. Sallem. Never."

"Mmm." he hummed. "What do you want?" he asked.

He took a sit on the sofa and crossed his legs.

"I have something to pledge on you." I said that made him show his interest.

"What is it?"

I showed him the bracelet.

"This bracelet." I said.

"Let me see." he stood up and walked towards me.

"Make sure first that you'll pay right." I hid the bracelet and look on Mr. Sallem straight in the eye.

"You know me, Fiona." he said and smirked.

"Oh yes I know you very well, Mr. Sallem." I said sarcastically.

He examined the bracelet and I saw that he was thinking.

"1000 dollars with 15 percent interest." he said.

"Deal! I'll get that once I found money to pay you."

"1000 dollars minus your 200 dollars credit." he smirked. "You thought I forgot about it? No way!"

"Then give me the 800 dollars now."

He looked on one of his men and gave them a signal to give me the money.

"We can still talk about it without pledging this golden bracelet, Fiona." He said in a soft yet horny way while touching my face with his rough hand.

I shaked my head to let his hand off of my face.

"I told you, I'm not interested on your horny d*ck, Mr. Sallem. Never."

I walked away when I got the money and took a deep breath when I get on the outside of the hell.

Thank goodness, I can pay Ms. Letty for the rent now. That mean I'm safe and not homeless.

I paid my school tuition fee that costs 250 dollars just to make sure that I can still continue studying and Ms. Letty for my rent that was about 400 dollars.

"Now I only have 150 dollars left. Good for one more month." I wisphered.

I walk pass through the stairs towards my room.

"Rojen? Rojen? Are you there?"

"Yes, Fiona!" he responded.

I smiled as I heard his voice.

"So how was it? Have you paid the rent already?" He asked as I enter the room.

"Yes. and I also paid for my tuition fee for this semester. I haven't reached the GPA for scholar students so I need to pay."

"That's good. Well atleast you don't have a problem now." he said with a smile on his face.

"Maybe not now, Rojen. But tomorrow, for sure there is a new one. Problem never stops." I said.

"It's ok. I believe that all problems had it's own solution. And also I'm here to help you so there's nothing to worry about anymore." he said with a genuine smile on his face.

"I didn't know what should I do if you're not here beside me now, Roj. I may be homeless by this time." I said.

"I wouldn't let that happen."

I took a deep breath to calm myself from thinking something that's making me worried.

"What do you want to eat?"

"What can you suggest?"

"Wanna try sushi? We have 150 dollars left. I know a restaurant that sells sushi in a low price but tasty."

"Sure! Now I am being curious what does sushi looks like." He said with full of excitement.

I just smiled at him.

As usual we sneak around again at the back gate. There's no one there so it's safe.

We waited for about a couple of minutes until we reached the restaurant that I am talking about. I looked at the man beside me. I can sense the excitement throughout his whole body as he was looking at the restaurant.

"Let's get inside, Fiona. I can't wait to taste their sushi."

"Sure. Let's go."
