36 Chapter 35: Lost

Rojen's POV

"Fiona?!" I heard that Ms. Letty shouted inside of her office. I looked at Fiona and she looked tensed. I can sense that she's nervous right now, wondering what she would do if ever she got kicked out of this apartment.

But whatever happens, I'll always stay by her side.

"It's good thing that you're already here." Ms. Letty said softly that left me and Fiona in shocked. "Hello there Rojane. How are you?" She asked as she looked at me.

"I'm fine, Ms. Letty." I replied in a girly way.

Fiona just stood still and didn't say a word as there is something Ms. Letty gave her. She just looked at the white enveloped.

"Someone left this outside of the apartment. I don't know where this came from but I think it's for you because your name was written there." She said while looking at Fiona.

She get the envelop and excused herself to Ms. Letty. I just followed her but I didn't forget to smile at the old woman and waved my hands to her.

"Where does this envelop came from?" Fiona asked to herself but I heard it.

"Maybe from a secret admirer?" I replied to lighten up the mood.

"Hmm. Who would that be?" She asked.

"That's why they called it secret because it's a secret." I said sarcastically.

"Haha. Whatever."

We laughed at each other but then suddenly we stopped from laughing when Ms. Letty called the both of us again.

"Yeah, by the way, your sister came here ealrlier. She said that she'll just get something into your room so I allowed her." Ms. Letty said that made Fiona stand still to where she is right now.

Her facial reaction shpws fear as she already had an idea of happened earlier.

I don't know who's her sister and I didn't knpw that she had on because she told me that she's an only child. But then I was shocked when she suddenly ran towards her room, left me hanging behind.

I followed her and there I heard thtat she was sobbing in an unknown reason. I tried to call her many times but it seems like I was invisible who's chasing her.

I don't know what to think but I felt that there is something wrong.

Fiona's POV

"No. No! Please don't tell me she had done it again. Please. Please not this time. Please, God I'm begging you."

I kept on whispering while running towards my room. I don't care even if I get hurt while running or I might get tripped or ripped my clothes. The important thing right is that she haven't done anything wrong again. Or else I'm dead.

Tears kept on escaping from my eyes and I can feel that my feet was hurt already because of using too much force. I heard that Rojen kept on calling my name but I can't focus my attention to him right now.

I reached the rooftop of the dorm and I saw that the lights are on but the door is shut. Don't tell me that...

"Fiona? Is something wrong?" Rojen asked me.

I didn't answer him. Instead, I ran towards my room and opened the door.

Shock register on my face and tears suddenly kept on escaping my eyes as I saw that my room was in total mess.

Even Rojen was shocked. The clothes are on the floor and some of the things got broken. My bed sheet was on the floor the table...

"What happened?" Rojen suddenly asked in a low voice like he can't believe what he saw.

"She did it again." I said. My voice is shaking. My whole body is trembling and I cannot stop myself from crying anymore.

I entered my room and trying to check everthing while still crying. I walked slowly towards my cabinet, hoping that it was still there.

I opened it. I checked the box where I kept all of my money and I just saw that it was empty.

My body trembled and my vision became blurry that everything my eye catches is not clear anymore. Until I just felt that my knees touches the ground already and there I cried out loud.

"AAAAAAAAAA!" I don't care if anyone in the apartment hear me. The pain that I felt inside was unbearable. I can't hide it anymore and I need a massive breakdown.

"Why on earth it has to be me. Isn't it enough that I experienced all the pain already? I was just living my life! Why does the universe have to be so unfair." I shouted.

I felt that Rojen came to my side and hugged me.

"Shh. Don't worry okay? I'm just here." He said trying to comfort me.

"Why does it have to be me, Rojen. Maybe if you just let me die then I wouldn't have to experience all of this. I'm trying to get away from the pain and everything but it keeps on chasing after me. I can't take it anymore, Roj. It's too much already. It's too much for me to handle." I sobbed. I felt that my voice was just like a thin air, no sound coming out.

"Shh... I'm just here."

"Why me? WHY ME!!!!"

I shouted and I felt that Rojen's hug became tighter.

"I can't forgive her. I can't forget this. Not anymore." I said, still shaking. "I can't forgive her. I can't forgive her."

"Shh..."

Rojen's POV

It took about half an hour before Fiona stopped from crying, but still her body was shaking. I can feel it while she's still on my embrace.

"I thought you don't have a sister?" I asked, trying to break the silence between us.

"I-I don't h-have a sister. N-never in m-my life that I h-have one." She replied. She's still trying to calm herself as she I'm lose energy and breath because of too much crying.

"Then who is she?" I asked again, still trying to comfort her. We are still in the same position as before.

"Theresa." she replied in a low voice.

"Theresa?"

"The woman you saw when we came back from the beach." she respond.

That means, the one Ms. Letty refereing to is her mother.

"So you mean, the sister that Ms. Letty referring to is your mo-"

"She's not my mother! And she will never be!" She shouted. I can sense the anger and hatred on her tone.

"Ok. ok. Just calm down."

She took a deep breath for how many times until she was calm again.

"So what should we do now? She took everything from me. My money and everything." She said like she was about to cry again.

"I'm here. We can use my money instead." I said, trying to lift up the bad atmosphere that sorrounding us.

"We don't know that maybe she took all your money as well." she said while looking at me.

She sat still while looking at me and I can see that her eyes was so red.

"She can't do that." I assured.

"How can you be so sure?"

"Because she didn't know where did I put it. And it has lock." I said then stand up and got out of the room. I may be called weird by the others but I hid my box to where I landed before. I know that it was secured there.

I get my box and then go back inside of the room again.

"Tadaa! I told you, no one knows and no one will ever get this magic box." I said jokingly that made Fiona smile. It was just a faint smile atleast she smiled.

"But it's for you. You saved that for yourself and for your bracelet right?" She asked.

"The bracelet can wait. And I just can't let you suffer because of what your mo... I mean Theresa did. Also if I kept on working to Ms. Mayne then I can still save some money." I said.

Fiona just took a deep breath and looked straight into my eyes.

"Thank you." She said.

I felt the sincerity while she said that and that made me smile.

"You're welcome."

I was shocked when she hugged me suddenly and whisper something that made my heart pound so fast.

"I don't know anymore on how to live without you." she whispered.
