31 Chapter 30: Eyes Locked

Fiona's POV

When I saw that Rojen carried Selene to the room, I decided to go out of the cottage and watch the beach outside.

When I got out, I found the ocean fascinating and relaxing. I love how the glow of the moon reflecting on the water and the sound of the waves. I felt the cold breeze touched my skin and it was so calming.

Beaches and sceneries makes me calm and relax that I've never felt outside this place. Reality sucks, right?

As I was looking at the beautiful scene in front of me, I heard some footsteps that are coming to my direction. But I never felt harm. Just my guts tellling me that it was the person I've ever trusted in my whole life.

"I never thought you'd come here with me." I said.

"I was just worried that I never saw you there so I decided to go out and look for you. Good thing you're just here." He replied.

I felt his gaze on me as he sitted beside me.

"I just missed the first time we got to the beach together. The difference is just that Mr. Pome isn't here." I said and smiled.

"Yeah. I remember that. I also remembered when we dance the night away with the energetic and jazzy disco songs." he said and then chuckled.

"Yeah. That was so fun. I didn't even forget about that." I replied.

"Also, of course I wouldn't forget the first time ever that I saw you drunk like 'Hey. I don't even know you have ever done this.' I never knew that you had that kind of personality." He said and bursted a laugh.

He laughed out loud that some of the people walking around are looking at him.

"Hey. Please forget that. It's embarassing." I said. I cover my face because I'm so shy right now.

"But atleast you admit that you had never done that on your whole life." he grinned.

"Yeah. That's the first time ever and I don't know if I could ever do that again." I replied.

"Well atleast you did. It's enough to gain experience." he said.

I looked at him and his direction was on the ocean.

"I never expected I could be with you again in this kind of place. Well, Even though we really had no time together because of the circumstances, but then I'm happy spending the time with you right now. It's heartwarming." he said.

I never knew what should I feel. It's complicated that my eyes watered because of the feeling that bursting inside me.

I never felt this kind of happiness before. I never knew I would feel it. I'm happy but I never felt this happy before.

I wiped my tears so that Rojen won't notice it.

"Yeah. I'm thankful too that even though we never bond like what we did before, having you here with me feels like it's enough already. It's already enough that it made my day and night memorable. Thank you for bringing me here." I replied.

He smiled to me and I smiled back.

"But still, I'm sorry that our planned got ruined. I never expected Selene to be here like never. I never knew that she's blood-related with Art." he said. His expression suddenly changed. I can see the sadness on his eyes.

"No. No. Don't think like that. It's not your fault at all and just like what you said, it happens unexpectedly. So there's no one to blame on this. And also, you bringing me here is great for me too. I can relax here and get to know your friends." I replied, trying to change the mood so that he won't feel melancholy right now.

I saw how his face lit up and a genuine smile grew on his face again.

"Right. You know what, this is our only time left. We should not just sit here. Instead, let's ahave a walk. We have to enjoy the view." He said and suddenly stood up.

He offered his hands to me and I accepted it. He guided me to stand up.

We walked near the seashore and just let the cold water of the sea touches our feet.

"Argh. It's cold." I said while shaking my body.

Rojen beside me just laughed and teased me more by putting some water on me knee.

"Hey!" I shouted and ran.

The both of us laughed as we're splashing water to each other. We don't care of what other's might think of us. The important is we both enjoyed the water.

"Come here. Yah. Yah! Wooh!" Rojen shouted and laughed as he splashed a large waved of water on my face.

On the other hand, I stopped from moving and acting like I got frozen. I saw the changes of expression on Rojen's face. From enjoyment to worry.

He walked towards me and check if I'm okay.

"Fion? Hey? Are you okay?" He asked, worried.

I never made a move. But in my mind, I bursted out, laughing.

I got that chance to revenge on him when he was finally in front of me.

I splashed water on his face and laughed so hrd but then I stopped when he whined and touches his eyes and rubbing it.

I think I got the wrong move this time.

"Hey! Hey. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that to you." I said. Now I felt sorry for what I did.

He just kept on rubbing his eyes so I came to check it.

I moved his hands and tried to check his eyes when I just realized that I was holding his face and our face was so close.

Our eyes met and stared at each other. I saw again his fascinating, glowing eyes as the glow of the moon that reflects on the water reflects on his eyes.

I don't know but I felt something strange inside me that my heart was beating so fast and my ears got locked and the only sound I hear was my heartbeat.

Everything went on a slow motion as Rojen blink his eyes so slow and it looked so sexy, especially the water that flows on his face from his messy hair.

I got the chance to look at his rosy heart shaped lips and it looked so fascinating.

I realized all the things that is haooening that's why I decided to take a steo back and get my hands off of his face.

The both of us got silent and never said a word.

"I... uh... I think we have to get back now. You might catch a cold." He said.

"Y-yeah. I think so too. W-we should change now. It's getting colder." I stutter and started to walk away. I just felt him following me.

The both of us never say a word until we reached the cottage.

All of them are asleep already. Only me and Rojen are left awake.

"You should change now." Rojen said.

I just nodded and entered to comfort room to change clothes.

"Gosh. What have I done?" I whispered.
