17 Chapter 16: Am I In Love?
Rojen's POV
"Mr. Pome? Are you a star? Why didn't you tell me?"
"I... uh-"
"Don't get near him, Rojen. He's the... wait? How do you know he's a star? It's one of our secrets." Astro asked, confused.
"Astro? You're a star too?"
"Yeah- hey! Answer my Question."
"Yeah! I'm Asteroger. Nice to meet you."
"What are you doing here?"
"The Golden Star sent me here for a mission."
"Okay. I'm Kalani and I am sent here a couple of years ago to capture this criminal. Don't get near to that man, he's a criminal."
"What?! Mr. Pome is a criminal?" I asked while looking at Mr. Pome. He looked so tensed.
"Yeah! He escaped from the Rigelliu Galaxy with his bracelet to get here on the earth."
"Wow! You came from our neighour galaxy. I'm from Astroella Galaxy." I said excitedly, knowing that I'm not the only one.
"Hey! I-it wasn't my intention t-to go here." Mr. Pome said, tensed.
"Maybe Mr. Pome had his own reason." I said. "Can you please give him a chance to explain his side? He's not a bad star. He helped us a lot to survive in this cruel world. Give him chance please."
"Fine! Tell me your reason why you escaped to get here on earth? Maybe that way, I won't capture you harshly."
I walked towards Mr. Pome.to make him calm because he looked so tense.
"Just tell him Mr. Pome. Nothing's gonna lost if you tell him the truth." I said calmly to make him calm.
He took a deep breath and calm himself. Astro just took a sit, still frustrated while waiting for Mr. Pome to tell his reason why he had done that.
"The reason why I escaped from Rigelliu Galaxy it is because that is what I think that makes me happy, that escaping from our home makes me change the way I wanted to be. To be honest, I don't want to bring my bracelet with me because it was strictly forbidden. But something... no. Someone caught my attetion that makes me believe that love is possible for us, stars. So In order to live a long life, I brought my bracelet.
"I heard that the Rigelliu got alarmed of what I had done that's why I changed my appearance into a matured one so that no one can recognize me here on earth from Rigelliu that I am one of the Rigellians."
"Mr. Pome, You said something about love. How is that possible?" I asked.
"Oh. It became possible because of Anna."
"But it has been on the rules that we are strictly prohibited to feel love towards a human." Astro interrupted.
"Why do you have to follow such rules if it forbids you to feel happiness? Sometimes rules are just for the sake of the one's who made it, not ours. I tend to follow the rules until I met Anna."
"How did you met her, Mr. Pome?" I asked. I am really interested to know everything about him and his story.
"That? Uh... When I was just a wishing star before, I heard someone wished. I took an action to grant her wish but I got distracted when I saw her face. I know it's kind of embarassing to say this but when I saw her, I felt a strange feeling inside me. I grant her wish and the way I saw her beautiful smile makes me wanted to see her everytime. So I focused on her everyday until one of Rigellian caught me and complaint me to the golden star.
"They took the bracelet from me and then I became an ordinary star for how many days. I got powerless that's why I can't see Anna anymore. When the day they gave back my bracelet, I suddenly tried to watch how Anna is doing that time and I got sad when I saw her been heartbroken.
"If I just did something then she didn't felt like that so I decided to escape from Rigelliu and brought my bracelet with me so that I can live longer here on earth. When I got here, I suddenly changed my appearance so that no one can recognize me.
"I met Anna personally and I tend to know more everything her. She's so kind and helpful to others that makes me wanted to love her more. We lived a happy life for about a couple of years not until that one incident that really changed my life.
"That was our anniversary when I just saw her laying in the ground, full of blood and got raped. Her death made me so angry that I wanted to kill those bastard men who did that to her. If only I was there earlier then I helped her but I was too late." He started crying after he remembered all the details in his memories.
"She's already dead that it broke my heart and wanted to take my life so that I can get along with her in the next life but then I just remembered that I am not a human and I can do that kind of thing so I did nothing but to wait for right time that I can see her again.
"Now, I'm begging you, Kalani. Give me more time. More time just to see my love and we can get back to Rigelliu Galaxy. Only seeing her smile and happy makes me contented already so please, give me more time." Mr. Pome said. He was still crying and the only thibg I did is to make him feel calm.
I looked at Astro and I just saw him crying too. When he realized what he was doing, he changed his mood into a serious one and wiped his tears.
"Fine. But I won't get rid of you. I'll just stay by your side and I'll try to help you so that you can see her again." Astro said.
"Thank you so much, Kalani. Because you are being great to me now and also I have known that I am not the only one here, I'll treat you grilled chicken and sticky rice."
"That would be great, Mr. Pome. Now that I am not the only star here then I think I wouldn't be lonely. I really missed my friends in Astroella." I said.
"Don't be sad. You have us and Fiona." he said.
"Right! I hope you don't get sad too and found your one true love." I replied.
We took a sit and waited for Mr. Pome tonserve us the food. Once he was done, he took a sit and had a conversation with us.
"What would you do now Mr. Pome? What if you won't find Anna?"
"I don't know. I just want to see her again. Even though we already got the justice that we want, I still want to see her even just from a distance."
"Ayst! Why do they have such rules like forbidding us loving someone?" I asked om air.
"Because that's what they think is right." Astro replied.
"But why? Is it really for us or for their own advantages?"
"I don't even know."
"Stars have feelings too. What's wrong with being fallen in love? Why is it so big deal?" I asked.
"Why does it seems like you have been in love with someone?" Astro asked that made me stoo from thinking.
How was that even possible?
