11. Unfortunately...

Layla push opens the room door, walked inside after switching on the light. Forgetting to lock the door, she went to the bed and slumped with her face first. Her body bouncing up and down before stilled stiff like a log.

Soon, her breathing becomes shallow and softer, indicating that she drives into a deep slumber.

Meanwhile, Adrian and Evan sitting on the couch, do staring competition with each other.

" Uncle, are you serious? Sister Layla as your wife in disguise? Isn't a bit too...strange? She becomes a teacher and a bodyguard already quite strained for her freedom. Now, as your wife, she does three jobs in a go!" Evan scratches his back head, confused over his Uncle's doing things.

" Tsk, brat. She worked as your bodyguard and teacher was only a disguise. Become my wife is her real duty and mission. No, the real purpose of me taking her under my wing are only a cover-up. I'm truly like her being my wife. A true wife~" Adrian winked playfully. Evan's mouth twitched. Now he knows why others called Adrian Chang as 'Thousands Faced Black Bellied Man'. His heart is truly dark and vicious!

" Then, you want to say the contract she signing in the morning are fake?" Evan rubbed his chin, contemplating Layla's expression if she knows about his Uncle devious plans to hold her at his side forever.

" Yes, but no. The real contract was the marriage form that she 'accidentally' signing in the morning. The so-called bodyguard contract never existed from the first place," Adrian shrugged with his indifferent face. Evan's jaw fell. Heaven, Uncle, you stoop too low by trapping her in marriage!

" Hey, hey, what is that with your expression? Don't look at me like a big demon lord kidnapping a hopeless damsel in distress. Tsk, I admit that my method quit low..."

No, Uncle. That's really low...Evan amused internally.

" But! I doing this for my sake. To be honest, I'm using her to ward off the women that keep coming here to disturb my life. This place is my safe haven and my gift matrimonial house to my wife. So, I don't want those inferior insects defiled this house with their presences," Adrian put down his teacup and gaze up to the stairs that lead to the upper-level room.

" Then, you don't like her. You're using her, Uncle. That despicable," Evan frowned, displeased at his Uncle's way doing things. Adrian snorted.

" You are still a brat. You don't understand the adult's world. And, no. Whose said I didn't like her? I fall in love at first sight of her in an event. I saw her there," Adrian's eyes soften at the memory of their first encounter each other. No, his first time seeing her.

Wearing a backless dark blue glittering evening dress, standing alone in the deck of the yacht. At that time, she looks very lonely and sad. As if reminiscing a distant memory. He, with his several close friends, chatting merrily, didn't discover his eyes and ears no longer with them, but the beauty. His little lacking world began to shine and alive at her sight. The dull world that he manages to tread alone finally found its light.

He braces himself to excuse from the group and walked to the deck area. Her side countenance already a sight to behold, but how about her full sides? He closing they're distant with silent steps, not giving a chance for her to startled and run away. Slowly, he leaned forward, holding a glass of red wine, using the cold railing to put his elbows down to support his lean, tall body.

" Why standing alone here?" He asked while looking forward to the distant night sea.

Sure enough, the woman's body stiffened. She turned to her right and saw him, leisurely lean on the deck rail. From the corner of his eyes, he saw her frowned. She bit her bottom lip before scoffed lightly and shot him a word.

" Busybody," then, she turned around, leaving a baffling Adrian alone. Seconds later, his laughter rang throughout the sea. That first time of him being coldly rejected by a woman. Most of the women he knows only like to throw themselves like some kind of sluts. But, she not that most women. She's different. His woman.

Looking at that retreating back, Adrian licked his lips and start imaging dirty thoughts of how his kiss marks covering her smooth, milky back and spine. That worth to try, no? His memory was so excellent, thus asking his best friend, Allen to trace her down. Using the only draw of her, Allen confirmed the person is his subordinate, Layla Rose.

That night is her last holiday time, so no wonder she been there. The party on the yacht is a private one, so having an invitation card was worth to be prised.

Unfortunately, he got very bad news from Allen about Layla missing in action in one of her S-class mission. Black Flag Organization lost contact with her for almost 6 months, using the various method to track her location and finally found her in a lone island in the South China Sea. Staying with the unknown indigenous tribe, they save her. In the report, the tribe leader found her unconscious and stay in comatose state for the whole 6 months time. She lost her memory, only recalling back after three months of rehabilitation.

Layla, what kind of mission you doing back then...Adrian sighed, feeling aches at her misfortune.

He rose from the sofa and went up to their bedchamber. He pushes open the door without knocking it first. Then, he saw a sleeping beauty sleep soundly with her back facing the ceiling. Her working attire still intact on her body, giving out her tiredness.

Adrian giving up after seeing her like this, before going to help her change her clothes. He reaches out to pull her over to face him. Layla frowned in her sleep, feeling uncomfortable and disturbed. She smacks away Adrian's hand that tried to unbutton her cloth.

Adrian smiled wryly at her attempt to sleep back. " Layla, don't fight with me. Let me help you," Adrian tried again to reach her shirt, but again, she slaps away his hand.

Finally, Adrian gives up. He sat at the edge of the bed, staring helplessly at the sleeping woman. No matter, baby girl. There still a long way for the two of us...
