EVIL SCHEME

"Ahh!! Look who we have here?" Sedna heard a taunting voice as soon as she opened her eyes. She is now in a black room or space whatever it's called and a silhouette of a woman can be seen sitting on a majestic throne made of crystal-like substance or material.

"Haha! Congratulations! You completed the first step successfully!" the woman said making Sedna frown in confusion

That woman looked at Sedna and smirked, "Why are you frowning? Even though I'm a bit unhappy because you didn't let me out, I can still understand and forgive you. But, do you think you could forgive yourself for what you have done in the past?"

Sedna looked at the woman in front of her and pursed her lips. She couldn't see her properly because there is no light but she could look at her black silhouette playing with her hair.

"Who are you?" Sedna asked the woman.

She heard the woman scoff and reply, " Who am I? Well, Nice to meet you after a long time. I am your darkness, your core power. But, a bastard locked me up here to make you a weak and useless thing. Unfortunately, he succeeded and you, my little thing got played by him. He trampled you beneath him and made you a fool. How sad!"

Sedna closed her eyes and took a deep breath to calm her nerves. This woman is pissing her off but strangely, she is not feeling repulsed or not feeling afraid of her.

Sedna sighed and asked, "Ok! Enough with the nonsense. Now tell me,who are you? What's your name? And most importantly why am I here?"

The woman chuckled and said, "Did you just say nonsense? Huh? The so-called nonsense is your past, my dear. It's your majestic history that you ruined because of your foolishness and your stupidity. And my name you ask? Do you wanna see me?"

Sedna nodded and saw the woman walk towards her. She didn't know why but she really wanted to look at this strange woman.

She squinted her eyes when the space lighted up all of a sudden. She opened her eyes only to widen them in shock at what she saw. Sedna felt her breath hitch when she saw the woman before her. She is still looking black. She has no face and it's like black paint is poured on her. She is entirely black with no face just like a shadow.

"Happy? I've told you, that I have been locked by a bastard here for don't know how long. I've been wanting to come out, break free from here but I couldn't. I was waiting for you to find me and get me out of this hell. Finally, we meet again."The woman muttered making Sedna clutch her heart in pain.

Sedna felt it difficult to breathe as a strange pain began to rip her heart. She looked at the woman before her with teary eyes and whispered," Who are you?"

The woman smirked and said," I told you, I am your core, your darkness and my name?

It's Layla."

"Layla" Sedna whispered, she felt her vision turn dark and she fainted.

Layla looked at Sedna, who fainted and smiled

"You have to accept me, Sedna. I will make you accept me. This time, I don't want to lose."

"Sleep for now! By the time you wake up, I will give you a surprise." Layla smirked looking at the sleeping Sedna.

"Hey! Cara!" Cara heard a woman greet her as soon as she opened her eyes. She looked at the woman before her and narrowed her eyes.

"Who are you?" Cara asked.

She looked around and saw everything is in golden colour. A big chandelier is in the middle of the room but strangely this room has no ceiling. Cara is still looking around when she heard the woman speak.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Layla, your friend's friend."

Layla said introducing herself.

"I am here to take you to your friend but before that let's have a small talk about what happened a while ago. Shall we?" Layla asked.

Cara felt her head nod as if she was being controlled by someone. But, she ignored it as she was damn curious about what's happening.

"Well, let's start with your boyfriend. What's his name? Ahhh... Gabriel right?" Layla started making Cara again nod her head.

"Good! Do you know who he is?" Layla asked.

Cara nodded and shook her head at the same time. She knew Gabriel is not a human for sure but what exactly is he, that she doesn't know.

"Well, do you at least know how you died in your past life?"

Layla smiled and again asked her.

Cara narrowed her eyes and shook her head. Hell no! She doesn't even know that she has a past life till now. And how she died, only God knows!

Cara thought and she heard Layla laugh.

"Haha! I like you. Not the damned gods but I know how you died in your past life. I also know how Sedna died in her past life too. Do you wanna know? Layla laughed and asked her.

Cara pursued her lips and again nodded her head. Now her curiosity got awakened by this strange woman before her and there's no way it's gonna cool down without knowing the answers. She was also curious about how this woman might look. Cara couldn't see her because Layla is sitting in the dark and strangely the light from the golden chandelier is not touching Layla or her place.

Layla looked at Cara and smirked, "Alright! She said and walked towards the latter watching myriad of expressions dancing on Caras's face.
