95 To the Fei's

When Ying Yue got down from her apartment, her black trousers had been swapped to a navy blue skirt that edged an inch above her knees, making her look fashionable yet slightly conservative.

Fei Huangjin never bothered much on female fashion and didn't know much about it, but he knew she looked good in whatever she chose to wear. If she wanted to, she could actually make a living out of being a model.

He opened the door for her and followed her inside. "To the Fei's, Mr. Yang."

"Yes, sir." Their chauffer, Mr. Yang, occasionally sent furtive glances through the rearview mirror to watch the two as they chatted about work, and he felt an inexplicable sense of happiness to see the two together. His boss was cold and reserved, and he hardly cared for anything else besides work; but with Secretary Ying, he could see the gentleness in CEO Fei's eyes.

Although he used to have his doubts, perhaps she was good for him, after all.

As they discussed some issues relating to their new projects, Ying Yue suddenly realized that she hadn't heard any movement with regards to Cheng Entertainment for a while now. The memory of President Cheng and his wife and how she had to act as Fei Huangjin's girlfriend to get them to approve of him now seemed distant, even if it wasn't too long ago. "How are the negotiations with Cheng Entertainment? Were we able to secure that?"

The man beside her stilled as he thought carefully about what to say. "I'll be asking to meet with President Cheng soon. You should come with me by then."

She nodded. It would only make sense for them to meet up with him together. After all, President Cheng thought they were together way before they actually were.

Fei Huangjin glanced at her with an unreadable expression. The truth was, he couldn't meet up with President Cheng until he got her to marry him. That was their deal. He pursed his lips and looked away.

The ride to the Fei household took almost an hour, since the villa was situated a little up in the mountains. It was almost seven in the evening when the sight of the familiar tall iron gates came into view. The security personnel guarding the entrance took one look at Fei Huangjin's car and hurriedly opened the gate for them. He was a part of the Dragon Club, assigned specially to protect the Fei family from harm.

Ying Yue eyed her surroundings carefully like she always did when first encountering unfamiliar territory. The driveway extended to almost a kilometer before the looming villa could be seen. It was bigger than she'd imagined it to be.

The exterior was designed to be quite masculine, with light gray and dark brown overtones co-existing in a beautiful way, and it complemented the feminine landscape around it, filled with flowers and trees. If they were here in broad daylight, she could imagine that it would look much more beautiful than it did tonight. "How big is this place?" She glanced at Fei Huangjin, who looked unimpressed and uninterested -- probably because he'd been here too many times.

"A couple of hectares," he answered.

Her eyes widened and she shook her head in disbelief. The Fei family gave a whole new meaning to the word "rich." She looked back again outside the window as the car approached the villa. "Did you visit here often?"

Fei Huangjin's eyes trailed to her back and a corner of his lips perked up in amusement. She was acting quite like a little girl right now and he would dare to say that it seemed… adorable. "I lived here as a child, actually."

"Really?"

"Mmm."

A mental image of a small Huangjin running around the lawn with that usual cold expression of his filtered into her mind and she couldn't help grinning from ear to ear.

However, the grin on her face morphed into a blank expression as the car approached the villa. There, on the doorway, was a butler and a maid awaiting their arrival. Ying Yue began to get nervous and she fidgeted in her seat. She wasn't sure she was ready for this.
