Back to the present...

Ashlyn turned off the TV and went up to her room. She put on a red off-shoulder bodycon dress and did a ponytail. She left a few strands off her hair and took off her contacts revealing her red eyes.

She stared at herself in the mirror. Every time she met her dad she would reveal her red eyes because she wanted him to feel guilty and talk to her but instead she realized it caused him to hate and made him stay away. Therefore, she decided it was best like that so from then on she let everyone see the real color of her eyes.

Well she did this during family gatherings only. She would also bring her contacts along and put them on again. Not even Conner knows about her eyes.

Till now everyone believed the daughter of their goddess(her mother) died the same day she died. This is why in parties she was treated as an 'adopted' daughter that happened to look like her father's 'real' daughter and because of pity he adopted her.

Her father never bothered to correct the rumors and let it be, knowing if he found the chance to get rid of her he could say that it brought pain to him looking at her 'adopted' daughter because it reminded him of her 'real' daughter.

Another of the reasons why her step-sister had always been favored. Everyone guessed she was the most doted one because she had the talents of her father's 'real' daughter despite not looking like her.

Little did they know the one they always bullied for being an 'adopted' daughter happened to not only be the real daughter but the only one with her mother's legacy. Ashlyn never stood against her stepsister because her stepsister was an A-list actress and was following HER mother's footsteps.

Ashlyn felt guilty and afraid to follow her mother's footsteps and her dreams. In reality what A-list actress? Ashlyn could do way better than her stepsister and her father knows that. Again it all adds up because, this is why her father did not object to her marriage even if it was better to have her step sister marry conner in the first place.

He was killing 3 birds with one stone. He would not offend Conner's grandfather, get rid of her, and knowing Conner hates women who try to seduce him he ordered her to seduce him on their wedding night. Later he would create multiple 'accidents' to make sure his stepdaughter married Conner and Ashlyn flew abroad never to be seen or heard off again.

Ashlyn laughed."what a scheming old man" She mumbled to herself wiping a tear of her eye."Unfortunately, you passed down your genes to me making me even more scheming."

She smiled bitterly and left the house. This whole time obviously there was a reason why she acted mute, quiet, and timid. With her acting skills that was the easiest part.

She headed over to where the birthday party would be held. JadeKay Hotel a five-star hotel and super expensive to book. Not to mention you had to make a reservation at least 1 year from the event. To think Mr.Brown treated his non-related daughter better than his biological daughter just for a birthday party. If it were four years ago her mother and father would have taken her boogie jumping or skydiving. Who does she think she is? Ashlyn thought.

Ashlyn is not a barbie doll in her little mansion. She isn't, never had been, and never will be like that. Since young she has been adventurous. Ashlyn scoffed and entered the party.

When she got inside and she looked around the decorated hall.Haha what a joke! He had used her favorite color to decorate the hall. She shook her head and walked around and soon spotted the dressing room.

Before opening the door she cleared her throat and lowered her head. She stared at the door with a pitiful and sensible expression. In a matter of seconds her whole persona had changed. It was truly amazing how quickly she changed and not just her physical movements and appearance but her entire aura screamed pathetic and 'walk over me' her expressions were annoying to look at.

You know like those people who just look so….slapable.Her face screamed 'slap me!'

She slowly opened the door. Even if she looked weak and so pathetic that after a while it becomes annoying, her beauty was not deniable.

Inside her stepsister was surrounded by countless stylists. Some doing her makeup while others picking out dresses.One doing her hair and the other her nails. Ashlyn wanted to laugh when she recognized the group of ladies as LERbier the amazing group. They were extremely hard to hire and to pay. The group of stylists was known around the world. They might not be the greatest but number two was not bad either.

When Ashlyn saw her cold arrogant face she almost snorted.'aww the poor little princess...it seems daddy was not able to hire the group number one to get her ready.' She thought.

'Oh well at least she got something' she thought sadly and made sure she showed. Because her sadness is what always captures...

"Oh your here" Her step-sister said, turning to look at her with a smirk.

Her stepsister's…..
