11 Chapter 11

He walked inside and hugged her.Ashlyn flinched and slapped his hands away. At that moment he felt hurt. For some reason he didn't want her to cry.

Ashlyn got up and took her phone with her. She took her purse and slammed the door shut. Conner was left alone in the room with a dilemma.

He wanted to go after her but clearly he was still not close enough to her.And she seemed to still hate him. When Ashlyn left she wiped her tears and called Cameron.

"Mmm what is it?"She answered.Ashlyn realized her friend was still in bed so she decided not to bother.

"Nothing I accidentally called you." She told her.

"Okay see you later," Cameron answered in confusion.

"Mmm"

She hung up and sighed.No matter how strong she pretended to bee she will always be weak. Soon her phone rang. She checked her messages and sighed again.

[It will be at 8pm be there before 5 to help your sister get ready]

"Well happy birthday to me!"She whispered and went into the garden. She had only gotten outside the house so she decided to sit down and relax for a while. She felt pretty lonely since none of the servants were there. She stayed there thinking for about an hour until she finally decided to go back inside

Conner who had called Mike to bring him clothes and send people to look for Ashlyn who had suddenly disappeared stared at the figure who had just entered the house. Mike turned around and glared at Ashlyn while Conner just sighed in relief."We have been looking for you everywhere!"Mike said stressfully.

"I was in the garden excuse me."She replied expressionlessly.

Mike did a mental slap on his forehead."I will call the servants back so you guys can get ready for the party." He said and walked away.

"What party?"She asked Conner while placing her bag on the couch."Your sister's birthday."

'Oh so he did hear...I guess he's interested in my sister...' She thought."Oh you can go am not going anywhere."She said walking towards the kitchen.

Conner followed her. She took out grapes from the fridge and washed them. She then placed them in a bowl and walked back to the couch were Conner also followed her.

"Stop following me," she told him, annoyed.

"Nope." He answered.

"..."

"You're coming with me to the party....."He paused and thought about it before adding ."My grandfather will be there and since am back in the country I need you to be there."

Ashlyn took a grape and ate it."Oh...."

Conner sighed and headed upstairs. He grabbed his computer and few files Mike had brought him and came back down. He sat on the couch in front of her and started to work

Ashlyn raised an eyebrow and then turned on the TV slightly annoyed by the sound of typing. Mike entered the room and secretly smiled.'Oh Well that's an improvement right?'

"Okay the stylist will arrive at 5 and we will head out by 7:45pm"He told them before leaving. Conner nodded at him and went back to work. While Ashlyn paid no attention to him at all.

Mike shook his head and exited the house. When he was outside he called a number on his phone.

"Okay grandpa it's done I assume the new limited edition sports car will be in my garage tomorrow right?"Mike asked. The old man on the other side of the phone chuckled."Of course."

Mike smiled."Okay then I will keep you updated."

"You better do so." The old man replied. With that the old man hung up. Mike's lips twitched. He entered his car and rode away in anticipation of a new car.

He really wanted to see how far the old man would go. For the past two years he had been pressuring Mike but it was very complicated since Conner was very stubborn.

Finally they got him to return to the state. Now things could go more smoothly and pairing up the couple would be easier.
