A pair of hands stopped his arm. I glanced over to see Ryan and Hunter holding my father's hand. They glared at him with rage emitting from their eyes.

My father released me and turned towards them. "Who are you to stop me from disciplining my son, if you know what he's done to his best friend at his old school then you would step back and let me strike this little sh*t," He roared.

Hunter scowled, "I don't care if that's your son you have no right to hit him."

"And who will stop me," My father demand bracing up to Hunter.

Ryan stepped in front of Hunter glaring at my father. My father clicked his teeth and stomped off towards his car. He slammed the door and sped off. I felt my legs wobble when he disappeared.

Hunter stepped towards me and asked," Ty what did you do to your best friend."

"Yeah man you got to be real with us now," Ryan added. I cleared my throat and told them about what happened. When I finished they stared at me. Ryan was the first to break the silence, "I know it was hard but that's in the past now, we won't judge you for it."

Hunter slapped me on the back and joked, "yeah bro just don't try that with us." I laughed at how they were so quick to understand. Ryan pat me on my back and gave me an understanding look. Alex came running out of the house.

"I'm sorry Ty, I didn't know he was coming," Alex said with a tearful expression. Ryan pulled her into an embrace and gently stroked her head. Alex glared at him and stomped on his foot then mumbled something to him.

"Really Alex if you like Ryan and want to be with him then act like it," joked Hunter. Alex shot Hunter an indescribable expression. Hunter trembled in fear then ran behind me to hide. I laughed till Alex gave me the same look. A cold sweat broke across my back as I looked at her face. I instantly turned around to hide my face from hers. Alex cleared her throat and ushered Ryan and Hunter into the house. I started to follow behind them but I felt a hand tug on my pants leg. I looked down to see a hand holding my bottom pants leg through a black mist. I looked up to see Ryan, Hunter and Alex disappear into the house before looking back down at the hand.

The hand pulled me through the mist till I appeared in what seemed like an underground corridor. There were wall mounted candles cascading down the stone brick corridor for what seemed like an endless hallway.
