She was conflicted in her mind about the chances of him getting his memories back, or she just like the way it is? does she really want to get married to someone else in front of the man he always loved?

Amit left saying that he doesn't feel like delaying the marriage but in her mind she knows that she'll never be happy with this marriage and it will only be wrong for three of them.

The next day Amit left to see his best friend now turned his love rival for the first time after he came back unexpectedly after he left for good.

He is well aware of Amyra's affection for Varun but when he went out and never came back he found a new light of hope for his relationship with Amyra.

He stood there for her in her darkest days when she lost her father and Varun abandoned her. He helped her look after his father's company and supported her dream to become a doctor, but when everything was about to fall in place, Varun happened once again and turned their World upside down.

Varun's assistant greeted him with a warm smile as Amit went to varun's place.

-" Hope your boss is free to meet an old aquintance, can you inform him Amit is here to meet him".

-"Sure sir let me inform him first, please wait a moment." said the assistant and went in to inform his master.

He came back with the same professional smile.

-"He asked you to come in sir, please follow me." said the assistant keeping the same smile in his face.

Amit followed him to the drawing room where Varun was lying in the the couch with still his night clothes on. His strong chest muscles were visible as a button was open, his eyes hold that old familiar mischievous glance in them while his face muscles denying the same with a stiff and serious demenour. His hair tangled and were all over his forehead telling the story of sleepless night he had.

'Is he disturbed by the fact that Amyra is going to get married, means he is acting of losing his memory' thought Amit.

-"Good morning friend!" said Varun with a slight smile waking Amit from his thoughts.

'friend' Amit sharpened his gaze.

-"Good morning Mr Varun" Amit responded keeping it casual.

-"Please have a seat and please call me Varun. Tea for both of us." Said Varun turning to his assistant who left immediately.

'How come he's sure about tea? just like old days.' thought Amit.

-"You look like a tea person. so I just.." explained Varun while Amit cut him in middle.

-"it's alright! But I'm in little hurry so some other day!" he said.

Varun called off his assistant who was just leaving the room and told him not to bring tea.

-"So what brought you here so early in the morning?" Asked Varun keeping his gaze fixed to Amit's face.

-"Actually I was harsh with you last night, so I'd like to apologise for the same. Maybe you don't remember but we used to be very good friends back in our school days." Said Amit keeping his eyes at varun's face and avoiding the word "best friend"

-"Yeah! It's alright you needn't apologize, I know enough things about my past life and you've got an unique vibe only a 'best friend' carries." Said Varun with a broader smile and tapped Amit's shoulder.

Amit's was so sure about his doubt that Varun is just acting but kept his calm and stood from his seat.

-"Okk thanks!! I'll take a leave. I'm getting late for a meeting.." he said with a formal smile and got ready to leave.

-"And Amit I might say Miss Amyra is indeed a good girl, wish you marry her soon." said Varun as Amit nodded his head indicating 'yes' and left the room with his head clouded with thousand thoughts.

'Was this his teasing voice!!'.

Amyra saw Amit's car leaving the main gate of varun's villa and her mind got filled with an unknown fear.

' Why suddenly Amit came to visit Varun or Varun called him?? Is he right about Varun acting about his memory loss??'

-"So are you busy for your wedding and that's why you aren't visiting me the more you used to do??" Asked Varun as Amyra sat opposite her with stethoscope in ears ready to examine Varun.

She was taken aback for a while hearing the teasing voice of Varun just like the old days.

-"Can you shut your mouth and let me do my job" She said and inclined towards him and placed the examining end in his chest.

Varun kept quiet like a abiding child. while Amyra kept on examining him.

-"All seems normal." she said removing the stethoscope and avoiding any kind of eye contact with Varun.

-"You are skipping my question doctor!" He said again.

'A few human nature never change. Stubbornness in case of Varun.' thought Amyra.

-"No I was just caught up in work! besides you have shown amazing improvement and I can stop seeing you regularly." She said packing her things.

-"So I'd have to get serious ill again to see you regularly!!??" said Varun sarcastically making Amyra laugh.

-"Hahaha very funny! I have many more patients to taken care of!" she said and a pause followed as she realised improperness of her laughter that is very unlikely to her in a professional space.

-" Your fiancee visited me earlier today." Said Varun looking at calm face of Amyra that changed with hearing the same it was not shock but curiosity in her face.

-" And what did he said!!??" Amyra said and paused immediately realising the improperness of the question.

-"Oh nothing much, just that we used to be good friends in our school days and your upcoming wedding plans that I can't tell and ruin the surprise!" He said self assuredly with a crooked smile.

Varun couldn't see any excitement in her face instead a dry smile.

-"Ok fine! take your medicines timely and I'll visit whenever I can make time!" she said and stood up to leave.

-"Hey doc!" called Varun and Amyra turned.

-"Can you stay a little longer! please.." he continued making a cute puppy face.

Amyra's heart melted like an ice cream seeing his pleading eyes and for a moment she felt like forgetting if he really lost his memories or not but to run into his lap and kiss his bare chest muscles, but she immediately stopped her mind from thinking further and made a serious face.

-"But I have a lot of things to taken care of that I can't bail on." She said taking her eyes off him.

-"Just one day! I'll never ask again! I just feel like talking to a good friend and I only know you as one!" He said pleading more and making even more adorable face that Amyra couldn't ignore. And her mind became biased one revolting with the other over the guy she love and gate the most!

-"Ok alright! I'll have to make a few phone calls and as you said you'll never ask again. fine!"

-"Fine!" He said with his mischievous smile and bit his lower lip as if thinking something. Amyra immediately looked away and acted to concentrate on her phone screen.
