And we met again

-"Is there any doctor here".. Amyra heard a man said with his voice trembling with terror and puzzle from her tent.

-"Yes sir but it's noon and they all are off for lunch break" It was sister Maria who responded to the man.

Amyra got out of her tent and saw a tall man talking with sister Maria.

-"please it's little..." the man pleaded.

-"I am free now.. where's the patient?" Amyra said walking towards the man. The man came from the nearby military camp Amyra understood looking at his uniform.

-"You have to come with me doctor... we couldn't bring him.." The man sounded worried.

-" Tell me the medical condition.. so that I can carry equipment."

-"He was shot in right side of his chest and then his car fell from the cliff, head is injured too and that's the main problem...our medical men already took out the bullets one day ago.. but after he gained consciousness he couldn't remember his name or anything.. maybe he lost his memory and he is behaving so unusual.. He tried to run away and broke a window in rage as we tried to stop... we somehow managed to save his life but we don't have the infrastructure to treat him well...and in this condition, we can't even send him to the headquarter."

-" ok let's go..."

she said to the man and turned towards Maria.

-"Maria you are coming too and ask Lalith to carry the equipment, drugs and anaesthetics...." she commanded.

-"Thank you doctor.." the man said.

-"Thank me later. Now let's go." Amyra said firmly.

Amyra is practising as a top class neurosurgeon in a famous international hospital from last 3 years. But it's her vacation so she came to this forest hilly area with other volunteer doctors and nurses to serve the underdeveloped tribal people of this place, that is also a den of Naxalites, during her vacations like every other year. In the way, to camp, she got a brief idea from the army man who came to them about the situation. It was a sudden case of a Naxalite attack to one of their higher rank officer who came here for a secret operation. The Jeep reached the camp in about 15 minutes.

The medical room was in chaos.. a man whose head and chest areas are bandaged is struggling to free himself from the other three men who were holding him firmly.

-"I brought the doctor.." said the former army man who brought them.

-"Release him.." Amyra said to those men.

The men were puzzled but finally released the man and only then Amyra felt like losing her hold from the Earth. Her whole body stiffened and she felt as if she will lose her consciousness, but nothing like that happened, as she saw Varun standing in front of her. He walked towards her dragging his feet, Amyra holds him as his feet trembled.

-"Hey, doctor take me out of this place. I don't wanna be here." Varun said.

-"Ok fine. I will take you home after I do a short check up.." Amyra controlled her tears and somehow managed to say.

Varun nodded as if he's trying to remember. Amyra asked the boy Lalith to help him sit in the bed and signalled all men to go out.

-"But the doctor I don't remember where my home is.. I don't remember anything doctor.."

Varun asked when all men were gone in a light voice filled with little anxiety.

-" Don't worry. I'll help you find your home. And don't worry I'll also help you remember everything ." Amyra said and a smile appeared in her face...
