CHAPTER NINE (9) Report

"What did you say?" Peng Lanying was much calmer now. Rose was obviously insinuating that she was a mad dog.

Rose shrugged, "Why are you so worked up, then?"

"You think you're smart?"

"No?" Rose scrunched her face, "I don't think, I know I am."

"Roseeee!"

"Lanying, you should learn to talk like a normal human."

"Roseee!" Peng Lanying took a daring step close.

"What?" Rose squinted at her. "Are you mad at my advise?"

Peng Lanying pointed a shaky finger at Rose. "I'll report you... I'll tell grand aunt..."

"What are you still waiting for?" Rose had the urge to step forward, but it would make Peng Lanying look stupid. "Run on, like a dog."

This was a family war, right in front of the employees and their boss was winning, Dandan tried to be as calm as the rest.

Miss Peng was as annoying as everyone else related to Rose, why did they have to be so dumb? And hate her so much? She was literally the sweetest human.

"Ro..." Peng Lanying was about to threaten Rose but was cut short when her brother pulled her to his side. He had arrived just in time, to save his elder sister.

Rose could be scary, it would bruise his ego to see his sister lose to a fight in front of so many people.

"Rose," Peng Jun started but felt sharp eyes all over him.

"Young Master Peng, I think you're being disrespectful." Zedong said with all seriousness. It was acceptable for Lanying to call their boss by her name, but then, Rose is older than Jun and also his boss, he had no right even if they were family.

Jun cleared his throat, "I'm sorry for my sister's attitude,"

Peng Lanying angrily pulled away from his grip. "Have you gone nuts? What are you saying? What do you mean by you're sorry? For what? Do you know what this evil girl has done? Do you even want to know?"

"Miss Peng, I think you should mind your tongue." Xu Dandan was infuriated. "You should really try to align it with your brain."

Peng Lanying'a jaw dropped. "Are you referring to me?"

"Obviously." Dandan said. "You're causing commotion right here in the office, who do you think will get punished if Madam Lihua finds out?"

Peng Lanying could no longer hold it, she rushed towards Dandan like an enraged dog. "SAY THAT ONE MORE TIME!"

Dandan was ready for her, she had waited for this opportunity, to be able to tear Lanying's face! She has also thought about the consequences, she was willing to sacrifice it all.

Just at the last minute, Lanying's hands were just an inch away from Dandan's face when something strongly pulled her hair backwards, the force from the grip, made her neck crack!

Yes, everyone else heard it loud and clear.

"Sister Lan!" Jun was too late, as Rose slapped his sister across the face twice and watched her hit the ground with a loud thud!

"SLAP!! SLAP!!!" This sound reverberated in everyone's ear!

Zedong had also pushed Dandan towards Rose, everything happened in the matter of seconds that Jun stood there, his mouth agape, staring at his sister. This was exactly what he was trying to avoid... This ruthless Rose had no human sympathy.

"Security," Rose called out. "Take this mad dog away, I've entertained her just enough."

Lanying lay on the ground, unconscious.

"DON'T TOUCH MY SISTER!" Jun's eyes were bloodshot. His head veered back at Rose and with tears almost streaming down his face, he promised to pay her back!

"You will also be carried out if you hesitate any further." Rose threatened.

Jun lifted Lanying to his shoulder and carried her away.

Dandan came out of Rose's back and everyone returned to work.

"I really can't believe this! Why is she so inhumane?"

"I don't think that's it...maybe we are misunderstanding her..."

"Shut up Changsu!"

"He's so blinded by his love for her, that he can't even see the truth right in front of him." Shen, Su Yuanqi's head chef said.

"What do we do?" Changsu the second male chef asked. "That's what we should be thinking of. Not criticize her,"

"Like I said," Baozhai the female chef started. "Shut up!"

Changsu shook his head. "The best we could do for our boss right now is come up with a good plan."

"Plan on how to get justice right?" Baozhai inquired. "That's the only thing we should be planning on."

Changsu opened his mouth to say something more but Shen was faster.

"Do you even care about our boss?"

"Shen, stop it." Changsu didn't like how the discussion was spiraling out of topic. They were trying to paint him bad just because of how much he loves and worships Chen Rose Lan. "Why would you even say that?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Baozhai asked. "Our restaurant was destroyed by that rich brat and all you care about is her reason."

"She's not a brat!" Changsu corrected.

Su Yuanqi had arrived earlier but stopped in his tracks when he heard his chefs arguing, it was one thing for Xiong Delun to defend her, but Changsu has also joined? Why? He didn't see anything great about her. She was only using her influence to make a living, to him? She was one horrible human!

He cleared his throat to announce his presence.

The two men on the table sat straight while Baozhai redressed her hair.

This little act wasn't missed by Changsu's owl eyes. He wanted to hiss so bad.

It would be disrespectful to their boss, so he just held it in.

"How are you doing, Brother Yuanqi?" Baozhai moved closer to where he sat, anybody else would think it was a simple gesture except Changsu, he eyed Baozhai.

She used every opportunity to try to get close to the boss. She was the only brat he knew.

"Yes, tell us." Shen urged Yuanqi to explain his feelings to them.

"I'm fine, I guess." Yuanqi inhaled.

"Yes, you will be." Baozhai tried assuring him.
