Chapter 1071 Struggling to Keep Eyes Open

Lucille was lying inside the tent, with her eyes closed as if she was asleep.

In reality, she had not changed her clothes or taken off her shoes. If there were the slightest disturbance, she could rush out in no time.

At half past three in the wee hours, when most people were at their sleepiest.

Even the guards on duty were struggling to keep their eyes open due to the unbearable sleepiness.

Just at that moment, there seemed to be a gush of wind, the treetops rustling to create a faint shushing sound.

Lucille shot her eyes open, but remained still.

The shushing sound got a little closer.

One step, two steps, until it stepped on a patch of sand.

With a sudden whoosh, the sand sunk, and a coil of rope sprung out from inside, lassoing the person's foot!

Lucille dashed out from the tent, assuming that she had caught a mutant, yet when she shone her torch, the person hanging in mid-air was none other than Noelle.

Lucille was at a loss for words.
