Chapter 4 - Today is the day

"So what am I going to do today?" I ask myself while looking into the mirror combing my hair.

Mean awhile Kiba didn't notice the weightless stone pendant at his neck stood by his jade amulet necklace glowing. It's was his mother heritage from great great great grandmother, she insisted him to wore this jade amulet necklace since him a boy. It is one of the most important practice of his villages custom. While the beautiful translucent green-blue color and shape like small round medallion with pentagram carving on it, the jade stone resonates on a deeper spiritual level of his mother's tradition. His mother told him that this jade amulet carries a sweet, light and nourishing energy that can feel very healing. It has a soothing purity about it, and it goes about purifying his energy field. Since then Kiba regarded the pendant as a stone that protects and symbolizes gentleness and nourishment. The stone may have the feeling of an ancient resonance with his body.

It is early morning around 6 am, Kiba usual time to get the day started, even tho it is weekend.

"Maybe I should head out for a run to get the blood flowing" I think to myself.

Thinking it over, he quickly put on his black running shorts, a green t-shirt and a pair of old running shoes. He make sure all the lights are off and nothing is left on that could cause a accident. He do some stretching to warming up and ready for my run.

Heading out to the university park, the usual place where he jog everyday as his daily routine. After running for about 15 minutes thru the various side street around his university, He finally spot her. Some friends may say she is out of my league for me, but she is smoking hot 1st year student princess, at least in my book. Black straight long hair tight up as ponytail, green emerald dazzling eyes, 5'6" C cup at least, slim waist, long and firm legs that make one gaze longingly. A single masterpiece too!!

I'm heading in her direction, quicken my pace a little to catch up, her pace being slower than mine. "Good morning Aura" I say in my friendliest voice, as I slowly begin to pass by on her right side.

Seeming startled and jumping to her left, "Oh Kiba, you scared the hell out of me, sneaking up on me like that!" She says flustered putting her left hand to her chest, but keeps running. "Good morning, Oh God, you always do that to me." She says with a look of embarrassment on her face then looks away with reddened cheeks. After this year semester start, I had run into her often, and always made sure to greet her. It has become a habit to do this.

"My apologies, I did not mean to scare you there ", I answer somewhat amused and continue saying "You going to be ok? Or do I need to call you an ambulance or do CPR for you?" I say jokingly and chuckled.

She looks over at me with serious eyes, "Do I look like I need an ambulance neither CPR, you old fart?" she pinched my arm.

Ouch !! that one hurt, sigh well at least I know where I stand now and guess being friendly is fine too I think to myself and unintentionally frown.

I start to pull away, increasing my pace.

"HEY!!" Aura yells out.

I turn my head and slow down again "Yes?" I ask a little agitated, somehow the comment old fart was hurt, and I guess it showed.

"Are you going to keep the lady accompany or just leave her all alone?" she grins at me.

I sigh to myself, what the fuck huh? I think to myself, I will never understand women and probably that why I am still single.

"Uh, yeah sure, lead the way my lady" I say with smile all the while uncertain if this was an invite or just a casual thing.

Now here I am running next to this beautiful princess, whom I have no idea what is going on in her mind. First I am an old fart, now she wants me to run with her. Sigh I do not get it. Go with the flow is my motto, and make the best decisions I can.

"So what is the great Kiba up today?" Aura asked nonchalantly, interrupting my thoughts.

I look over at her, seeing her face slightly flush and breathing a little harder, I'm slowed my pace, as I recognize she is trying to maintain my pace I unintentionally set up while drowned in deep thinking.

"Nothing much, thought I would enjoy a day to the mall maybe and see if I need anything, browsing around or taking a walk is a more accurate description." I blurted out what came to mind first.

"Care for some accompany? I can use a new dress now that summer is approaching." Aura says with a smile that melts away any objections I may have.

"Sure, what time would you like to meet up?" I ask a little surprised by her offer.

"Say about 10, you can pick me up, we can shop then have lunch, and do some more shopping after wards" she smiles gleefully.

What just happened, I think to myself. The goddess invite me to a date.

"Sounds good, be there at 10 am sharp ma'am". I say to her. Shopping between lunch? More shopping after lunch, what the hell did I just get myself into? I'm going to miss all my classes today?

"Ma'am? Kiba, really !!!" She frowns in a cute way.

Stop with the old crap already I get it, "umm my princess?" I ask hesitantly.

"Never mind" she pouts. "See you at 10" and with that she turns and begins run toward her dorm.

I continue my run for another 30 min before getting back. I quickly head for the bathroom and take a warm shower, then make myself some breakfast. Finish my breakfast, and clean up after myself, all the while listening to the news in the background. Suddenly from the TV, thunder blowing of a trumpet sound loud and clear. Dark cloud blanketing the sky, a scream is heard from one of the reporters on live TV, I turn just in time to see something sinister, big and grotesque biting the head off of the reporter. At the same time in the background, other creatures are dropping down seems descend from the buildings and landing on the ground. People are panicking, running in every direction and screaming. The camera suddenly falls to the ground, landing in a vivid pool of blood facing the headless body of the female reporter laying on the ground, showing the blood spurting out onto the lens. Then the view goes to a "we are having technical difficulties" on the screen.

"What the heck was that?" I ask myself out loud. I was dumbfounded by what I just saw.

After about 5 minutes the screen on the TV returns to the news room, and the news caster seen visibly shaken, and began to speak in a halting and shaky voice,

"We have now confirmed that monsters..." she pauses, tears are starting to come from her eyes. "Excuse me, Monsters...., are in the city, we urge all citizens to remain in doors at this time. Secure your doors and widows. We will update you as we get more information from authorities."

I anxiously watch for a few more minutes, there seems to be nothing new as for information besides what we saw on live TV. I am not sure how to process this.

What is that creatures ?

Naw, no such thing existed right?

It was huge, and had dark blood red colour, sharp finger nail and teeth with sharp looking tail. I only heard of such a thing in some of the online games I played for fun. "What was it called", I rack my brains asking myself. Then suddenly it comes to me, "a Xenomorph! ", That had to be it. But what the hell, how is that even possible? Does alien exists?

After about 2 hours of watching the news for more information, the news changes abruptly to live from City again. We get these information that the police had been dispatched and killed some of the creatures. All dispatched officers were killed at current count, the count is still to be officially undermined. And that was at first glance, no official number had been given yet.

Wow, that was crazy, I thought to this would happen in movie or fantasy games. And in sudden ...

"Erm..test...test...test...1,2,3..Hey Am I live ¿ Where the script¿ OH..¿"

"To all mankind existed, this is The Voice of your God. God of many Names gathered into One. Devine of Devine, Father of all Father, Creator of Creations, bla..bla..bla..who wrote this annoying script¿ Ok fine" The Voice scolded someone.

The Voice pause for seconds.

"To make it short from today onwards I'm going to forsaken you and I want to make a new creations but I'm going to give all of you a chance for your survival during the this end of time. Few days ago I send a device to each one of you, the device will help your survival and be your doom. Activate it and you will be granted with special power. Learn how to use it yourself and survive if you can. Hahaha."

The Voice pause for seconds.

"Enjoy it's as a survival game yet for those who lost the device, toast it a way or broke it don't worries you can claims others as yours but it'll grant you nothing. When you dead you are dead."

"tut....tut....tut...." sound like someone hang up the line.

Words start flow down like in computer screen. Feeling like submerge with VR system in Kiba head. He look right and left, the word still follow where he facing off.

"It's feels weird with those wording" Kiba softly whisper to himself.

Uploading host initiate sequence...

Uploading data...10%....60%...90%

Bug detected...

"Huh, bugged?"

"What the hell virus?"

What happening right now, how come I got bugged and where this bug infection come from. Kiba shocked with the system notifications, does he going to be alright.

Initiate bug fix...

System denied, <virus infected> ...

Initiate Anti-Virus...

System Scan fail...

Initiate God¿ Anti-Virus sequences...

Virus deleted...

Data corrupted...

Patching defaults data...

Upload completed...

Retrieved data from API...

Downloading required components...

Decompress file initiate sequence...

Debugging code sequence..

Compiling raw data...

System reboots in 3, 2, 1

//system executes

*ring* system notification ring.

"You already activated the system. Now the system will download the necessary sequence data. It's will be lots of data, Please faint for the moment" Notify the system.

Baaam...

Kiba face falls on the floor, fainted. A Pilar of light beams fired on Kiba body and vanished.
