2 Dreams can't Become Reality

It is said that just before you die, your life would flash before your eyes, showing you every moment in a flurry of emotions. You would feel happiness and instant later it would turn to grief, which could turn to laughter and then despair, emotions would come without warning and would even seem as they all surface all at once. However, as Izuku stood at the edge of the railing, peering down on to the street only one emotion came out and that was fury, Memory after memory flickered through his head.

The most soothing memories were before he got told he was quirkless, he used to play with his mother and his father used to play as well when he had the time and was home, he also had many friends in the neighbourhood, and his best friend was Katsuki Bakugou. Their mothers were best friends, so they thought it was only natural to make their kids become best friends too. His life was just like any other kid although he couldn't compare to other kids in most activities, he was an honest and sweet kid, but that started changing as the 'friends' around him started to develop their quirks and Izuku continued as he was. His mother after seeing all the others kids in the neighbourhood, that were close to her sons' age gain the quirks, while her son didn't decides to visit the local hospital to make sure everything was alright in her son. That day was the beginning of his nightmare.

As soon as he was outed as a quirkless, everyone started to treat him differently. His 'friends' left him and disdain to play with him, his 'best friend' did not help him and even became the ringleader towards those actions. The other adults in the neighbourhood looked at him with pity but they couldn't conceal the disdain that they had as well.

One night, he heard shouting in his parent's room. He wanted to know what had happened and when he came close enough he could start making out their words.

"-ALL YOURSELF A FATHER?!?!?" - Inko (Izuku's mother)

"WHAT?!? YOU THINK ITS EASY? I have to go to work every day and see those same mocking eyes from my co-workers all because Izuku is quirkless. All you do is SIT AT HOME and then you DARE JUDGE ME?!?!? I dare you to step out this house and walk around our neighbourhood and then speak to me." - flames flared out of Hisashi's (Izuku's Father) mouth as he spoke in an angry tone.

"It doesn't matter what people think he's your son!" - Inko

"He's my son and your my wife that's why the only thing I'm doing is going overseas to work, I'll send money over so I'll still be doing my job as a father and husband otherwise I would have disowned him already." - Hisashi

Inko was shocked silent, while Izuku who was outside listening, shivered. This was the first soul-crushing blow that Izuku took, and the fact it was from his father doubled the effects. A week past since his father had left and during this week he had grown to become more silent, he would just carry on watching the All Might debut video over and over again. At one point he asked his mother whether he could become a hero, he was a kid after all and he needed a bit of comfort after everything that happened to him, but his mother only ended up crying with him. The second crushing blow to his soul came from his mother.

The third crushing blow came from his so-called 'friends' when they started to bully and mock him. The fourth crushing blow came from his 'best friend' Katsuki who encouraged this to happen and even joined in using his explosion quirk to deal more damage. The fifth crushing blow came from his teachers, that ignored and sometimes even joined in to mock Izuku. The sixth crushing blow came from the neighbourhood citizens as none of them came to his aid when he is being beaten.

Blow after blow kept assaulting Izuku through his life but his goal to become a hero never wavered and he even developed a unique ability of his own, analysing quirks and seeing how they work, their weaknesses and how they can be improved. Some could say this was Izuku's way of yearning for a quirk. This unique ability of his allowed him to see a slight hope, so when Katsuki burned his book he was livid but still hadn't found the courage to fight back.

The final blow to his life was his idol telling him to give up, this devastated Izuku more than all the other blows combined, he was ready to end his dream and crush it right there but hope came to him, it was how he saved Katsuki from the sludge monsters embrace while the pro heroes couldn't and yet it was snuffed out so easily from the disdainful gazes of the heroes. All the credit for defeating the sludge monster went to all might and he didn't mind that but not even one of the reporters continued to look towards him once they found out he was quirkless.

His flame to become a hero was brought to his knees by this society and Izuku was at his weakest point, katsuki's words were remembered and he accepted them and decided to go for it, that was until a stronger Will erupted out from inside his body. This Will was filled with fury yet it made a calm smile appear on Izuku's face.

"Why am I suffering? None of the things that happened were in my control but I have to bear the consequences, but this is what life is, it is not fair. No More, from now on I will do whatever I want and what I want is to gain power, ULTIMATE POWER. Don't worry Previous Izuku, I shall avenge your death by becoming the Greatest..." - Izuku

While talking to himself Izuku turned around to climb over the railings, but his footing slipped and he fell backwards, towards the sight that he was looking at long enough, that he saw the night sky on his way down.

"By the way, I forgot to mention that this is the story of how I became the Greatest Evil" - Izuku
