Chapter 1A New Life

The humans had finally done it. After centuries of trying, they had succeeded in defeating him.

The one and only Great Dragon Sen.

They had tried and failed countless times, but after a thousand years, they had finally won.

That witch… Who was she? Had there always been someone that powerful among them?

The details of his final moments were hazy. Perhaps it was due to his old age. The humans had always sought his destruction. No matter where he tried to make his home, they would come, unprovoked, to attack. They had chased his kind to the ends of the earth, slaughtered his friends, his family—everyone he had ever loved—until he was the last one left.

With nothing remaining, he had only done what was just. An eye for an eye, as the humans would say. He had heard them shout that phrase at him before.

But now, it was over. He could finally rest in peace.

Or so he thought.

Just as he was coming to terms with his death, strange noises began to fill his mind.

"It's a boy! A beautiful baby boy!"

He wanted to roar in frustration. Who dared interrupt his final moments?

What was happening? Hadn't he finally moved on?

"Look at him. He's so cute!"

Cute? Someone had the audacity to call Sen the Almighty Dragon cute?

Summoning his strength, he forced his eyes open, determined to see who would dare make such a claim. At first, everything was blurry, but as his vision cleared, he found himself staring at an unfamiliar sight.

A human. A female human. He had never seen one up close before, and now he found himself examining her features. She had long black hair and an egg-shaped face. Dark bags hung beneath her eyes, signs of exhaustion, yet she still smiled warmly. But the most shocking thing of all was her size.

She was gigantic.

Was this hell? Some form of punishment where he was tormented by giant humans for all those he had slain?

Whoever this human was, she wasn't ordinary. He needed to escape. Using all his strength, he tried to take flight—

Nothing happened.

A sudden realization struck him. He couldn't feel his wings.

Panic surged through him as he looked down at his body, dread creeping into his bones.

This was no nightmare. This was reality.

He was a human baby.

Next to the woman stood a man, staring at him like a predator sizing up its prey.

These vicious humans…

"Look at him squirming. Can I hold him?" the man asked.

Before Sen could protest, the woman handed him over. He tried to resist, but his body refused to cooperate. No matter how many commands he gave, nothing worked. He tried to roar in protest, but all that came out was a pitiful wail.

As the man held him, the crying ceased. Even though he lacked control over his body, he could at least decide when to make noise.

"Oh, he stopped crying. I think he likes his daddy."

The man grinned down at him, a look that Sen found utterly revolting.

If only he could fight back.

Wait.

Wasn't this the perfect opportunity? A second chance. A chance to finish what he had failed to do before. Just as the humans had wiped out his race, now he had the chance to do the same to them.

He would have his revenge.

"Ga, ga ga ga."

"Look at his cute laugh. He seems to be in a good mood now."

Foolish man. He would be the first to fall.

Summoning all his energy, Sen focused on his mouth, gathering saliva. He could feel the bubbles forming. His plan was working.

"What's wrong with him? It looks like he's about to be sick."

As the man leaned in closer, Sen seized his chance. He expelled the liquid from his mouth with all his might, sending a perfect arc of spit onto the man's face.

The man recoiled in disgust and quickly handed him back to the woman.

"Yuck! I think he did that on purpose!"

"Ga, ga, ga." Sen let out a triumphant laugh.

The woman only smiled. "Looks like you're going to grow up to be a troublemaker."

A sudden wave of exhaustion hit him. His brief act of defiance had drained him completely. He fought against the drowsiness, but it was no use. His body betrayed him once again.

Damn this weak human form…

Disclaimer: I'd received a few complaints from some readers that my MC is not a real villain, and I have to agree; if you're looking for some complete psycho MC who burns random farmer villages down just for fun then don't read. The MC is a ruthless man who does evil things from time to time, but only to his enemies or those he considers to be true scum. He gains no joy from tormenting strangers. Also don't read if you want a story about buying s*x slaves and r*ping them, that doesn't happen in this novel. He will treat the women he wants to be with as if they were normal people, whether they're slaves or not.

Armipotent

This is a work of fiction, any names, characters, stories or events, are fictitious! (Even the country in the story is just the author's fantasy as the author never visited those countries in the story) Armipotent is an archaic adjective meaning "strong in battle." Basically, it refers to someone who is physically tough in war. Originally, it was used to refer to the Roman god of war, Mars. ===================== Tang Shaoyang, an orphan who dropped out of the middle school to fight on the street as he found out school was useless for a penniless orphan like him. Tang Shaoyang dropped out of his school, fighting on the street, and made a name for himself. Berserker Tang from Youyouliucun. Afterward, Dragon Wing triad recruited him and everything was good for him. Even though the public deemed him as a tumor of society, Tang Shaoyang was having a decent life. Until one day, everything changed as an absurd and strange game started. "... Game starts! Stage one: Survival for The Fittest!" After the game started, zombies appeared out of nowhere. ... Ding! "You have killed 1000 zombies less than 24 hours since the game started! You gained 3 Talents!" Dong! "You may choose 3 Talents! please choose carefully!" Tang Shaoyang held his chin and mused what Talent he had to choose. "With Zombies appear everywhere, I need an infinite strength... this is one, I still need to choose 2 Talents more..." Then a lewd smile formed on his lips. "I want an infinite strength, charm and charisma to conquer women, and the last one, I want to upgrade my **** so I can please my women!" After saying this, Tang Shaoyang laughed aloud. "Hahaha, there's no way such talent exists... ehhhhh?!!!" Ding! Dong! "3 Talents are consumed! You have been granted Divine Body! Good Luck, Gamer Tang Shaoyang!" Tang Shaoyang immediately checked the detail of Divine Body. After a brief silence, he muttered unbelievably. "Such Talents really exist..." I Can Copy And Evolve Talents

Across the vast convolution of worlds, divine beings rule as absolute sovereigns—each god assigned dominion over a singular realm. Skirmishes are inevitable, whether for power, amusement, or sheer pettiness. One such battle, between Nexus, the God of Trickery, and an aging, senile deity, resulted in an anomaly… A soul misplaced. Elliot, an ordinary man, was never meant for Ul’Tra-el. But fate, or perhaps a cosmic prank, had other plans. Unlike other worlds, Ul’Tra-el is an aberration—one that developed a voice. A voice that diverged from the natural order. A voice that changed everything. Its foundation cracked, leaking dimensions into one another. Rifts tore open like festering wounds, vomiting forth unspeakable horrors—monsters not meant to exist. But the world did not sit idly by. In response—perhaps an act of self-preservation—the world gifted its inhabitants power. Talents awakened, granting people extraordinary abilities. And for every rift sealed, the Voice of Ul rewarded them generously. Survival was simple: fight, grow stronger, and close the rifts… or die trying. In this ruthless, blood-soaked reality, Northern—a white-haired boy burdened by his past life—was reincarnated. But unlike the chosen heroes, he awakened as a talentless nobody. No power. No strength. No future. And when death loomed over him—when despair clawed at his soul and the cold grip of the failure threatened to take him— A Voice responded: [System Notice] [Your Soul cannot take a form.] [Searching for a Unique Pattern Ability…] [Searching…] [Search Found.] [A Unique System Ability has been detected.] [You Can Copy And Evolve Talents] ... Follow Northern through his journey as he becomes the pinnacle of this world. This a story about a white-haired boy’s rise from rubbles!! Note: This is an overpower genre but MC does not just start off like that. Even though MC can copy talents he doesn't just jump around copying talents because there's a limitation. However, his rise to strength is depicted and is an experience to enjoy. The first few hundreds would be frustrating to follow because MC is weak but that makes the experience all the more interesting when MC finally gets freaking strong and starts wiping the floor with everyones asses.

So I should leave a review since I had great hope for this novel, but was disappointed. I will list the problems: 1. Grammar ...simply, it sucks. I can understand that English is not the author's first language, but there are like 10 grammar mistakes each chapter. Please, use a proofreader it's really distracting from the story. There, they're and their are different. Please learn it. 2. Writing style The limites of the language hits hard in the style department. Since the author doesn't master the language, phrases are always linear and simple, concepts are expressed one at a time etc... This impacts the story since it seems the actors themselves are basic. 3. Plot holes, world building, etc I understand you don't want infodumps, and you also don't want to spoiler the story but... Seriously, try to give a reason for things happening, and not at chapter 1000 since people will not arrive there. Sen is acting like a true 5 yo even being a 1000 yo dragon. Is there a good reason? Maybe. Without explaining, or even an hypotesis, this is simply a plot hole. Whatever is inside the mind of the author doesn't count, only what is written. And don't go "but normal books can explain after 200 pages, why can't I?" Normal books are supposed to be perfect in language use, have been read and revisited multiple time by the author and the editor team, so the reader is somewhat assured that the story is somewhat decent. On webnovel the author publishes BEFORE finishing the story and often before checking for errors. Maybe in chapter 300 the author is like "oooops for plot reason I need this in chapter 30... Too bad it's already published. Let's hope nobody notices" while in a normal book you would go and modify chapter 30 to be coherent. Now, I have gone for a bit of a rant here. TL;DR: the story is simple but ha potential... Wasted because of poor English and oversimplification

So I'm going to keep it short, because I've wasted too much of my time on that novel. I've read this story because it is the first in JKSManga's System trilogy. My Vampire System has been continuously ranked in Webnovel's top ten for over a year and I want to read its prequels before I get to it. Well, MDS is a beginner novel and it shows. The MC is good, some side characters are alright, but the rest of the cast is average to bad. The background is barebone. The power system is vague, badly implemented and the worst I've ever read. The story is awful, incomplete, full of deus ex machina and feels overall artifical, leading to a rushed and unsatisfactory ending. Finally, the writing is terrible, full of typos, bad grammar, characters confusions, mistakes on homophones. Really, I work as an English teacher, and none of my students, even the worst of them, would make so many errors. I hope JKSManga took an editor/proofreader with his other novels, otherwise, reading them will be a torture. So, I hope the next volumes of the My System trilogy are better, it seems they are, but after such an experience, it will be some time before I read the second book. My final verdict is a 1 out of 10 (my first). If you want to read a very good/excellent dragon-themed novel, go for Coiling Dragon by I Eat Tomatoes, that's the novel that brought me to Chinese novels, and it is awesome. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to read Martial Arts Master by Cuttlefish That Loves Diving, an excellent author, who so far never has disappointed me. Kergonan out
