Inside The Cell

Casey's POV

Sapphire disappeared as soon as I heard the metal door creak open. I felt awake but the only problem is that I can't move my body.

Footsteps echoed through the room as it neared me, slowly. It was sharp and terrifying. It was like I was thrown in a pitch black room full of unknown creatures. It's frightening to know that you're with someone or something without the knowledge of who or what it is that you're with.

"Is she out?" Someone with a deep voice said. The aura in his voice makes me feel that he was the alpha.

I heard set of footsteps behind him as people starting pouring in. But from what I could tell, I think there are 5 people at most because of how they walked. I could hear from how each people walked differently.

"Like a light. Gave her enough pills to last until the next day." Another one chuckled.

The alpha cleared his throat. "You may have given her pills to last that long but have you forgotten than she's not like us? You gave her our medicine you brainless idiot. How would you know when she'll wake up?!"

"I'm sorry, Alpha." The first guy apologized quickly.

It all went silent for a minute before a second guy spoke.

"If I may bring it up, but we need to get the girl! We are going to fall if she succeeds." One guy said. "Can't we just kill her friend then kill her next?"

"No." The Alpha answered. "If we kill her friend, the goddess will surely reveal all her powers and we'll lose immediately."

"Can't we just make amends with them? This war has been going on for years. Maybe it's time for us to move on and just form an alliance with them. It would be a huge benefit for both of our kinds." a third guy said. I held my breath and hoped that they would agree with the third guy but the Alpha scoffed.

"People like you should be keeping their mouths shut!" The Alpha's voice boomed through the whole room making everyone quiet again. "An alliance isn't what we want or even need."

The fourth guy finally spoke. "Then we could capture her and use her powers, with her on our side we'll be unstoppable."

My heart was racing fast as I waited for their answers, praying that I'm still dreaming all of this. Why would they come here just to talk? This must be just a dream, right?

"I expect nothing less from my Beta." Pure amusement filled his voice as I start hearing him walk towards me. "I know you heard everything, Princess." He scoffed before his hand flew across my cheek, stinging as my eyes shot open and tears were forced out from it.

I stared at the floor in shock for a few seconds before my head was turned with him gripping my face with his hand.

He looked like a middle aged man with blood red eyes and dark blond hair.

"What do you even want from me?" I panted as I panicked, seeing the death that his glare held.

He grinned and drew his hand back with force. "I don't want you." He leaned in towards me ear as he whispered menacingly. "I want your friend; The Vampire Goddess."

"You don't know who you'll be dealing with." I said with all my courage, trying hard to at least threaten him. But my effort was all for nothing as he only found it amusing.

He shook his head with a grin. "It's you who doesn't know who you're dealing with, Princess." Waving his hand, he sent his men out as they slowly made their way out except for one who stayed, looking at me with such guilt before he hung his head low, fisted his hands, and left.

"The Mate of the Vampire who is next in line for the throne haha. I'll admit, you are pretty valuable since you'll be the future queen, but you're as worthless as you're useless." He stated and paced back in forth in front of me, slowly. "I don't need the throne, not right now of course. All I need is power as anyone who has power can take not just the throne, but everything that he desires." He stopped right in front of me with a wide grin, balling his fist. "But I guess I could have fun."

"Do your worst--" Before I could even react, his fist flew towards my abdomen, hitting it continuously as I felt the most excruciating pain that I have felt in my entire life.

I bit my lower lip from screaming in pain as it would only fuel up his desire to do more. My mouth was filled with the metallic taste of my blood as tears streamed down.

It was hell as it kept on going for a good 5 minutes.

I was having difficulty breathing when he finally stopped, a satisfied look was plastered on his face as he wiped his sweat away. "Well, that was fun." He chuckled and cracked his knuckles. "I'll have someone play with you in a short while so you won't get bored while waiting for your friend." He grinned and I felt that I couldn't take any more of it.

"P-Please... don't..." I pleaded but he shook his head. "I can't take anymore of this..." I started to feel something warm and thick dripping down on my legs, knowing that it was all because of him

He scoffed and wrapped his hand around my throat, gripping as I gasped for air. "Then hope for your friend to be here before I make up my mind."

Letting go, I breathed in and panted, feeling my strength leaving my body.

The door slammed shut while the locks clicked and at last, it finally went quiet. I was grateful for the silence before my sobs broke free.

Echoing as I breathed heavily. "Help me..."
