Imprisonment

Sapphire's POV

I slowly opened my eyes and noticed that I'm feeling a lot better than before, it still hurts but it's much more bearable.

I looked around the room and noticed that it was darker than before.

"Must be the curtains." I said to myself when I noticed the curtains that were thicker than before. I slowly got off the bed and slowly made my way towards the window, I pulled it slightly aside and saw that the sun is already setting.

I took in a deep breath and walked towards the dresser to find some clothes that I'll change into after I take a shower, good thing May forced us to go shopping with her or else I would have to go home and get the clothes that I left.

I took out a fresh new pair of pajamas and a pair of underwear. I dragged my feet to the bathroom and turned the shower on.

I didn't lock the door since that if something happens to me Xander can easily get me.

I took off my clothes and stepped under the running water, letting the warm water run down my body.

I felt weak and decided to just sit down. I don't want to slip after all.

I closed my eyes for a bit and calmed my nerves with the warm water that soothed my muscles. But I heard the door squeaked as it opened.

"Xander?" I breathed but there wasn't any reaction. I crossed my eyebrows and looked down on the edge of the shower curtain. My eyes widened when I saw that the legs belonged to someone smaller. My eyes widened making me pull aside the shower curtains, revealing a young boy.

I don't remember Xander having a younger brother or rather having a relative within the palace.

I crossed my eyebrows even more when I saw that he was holding a camera.

"What the hell are you doing?!" I screamed as two more kids giggle from the door. I grabbed a hold of the kid's shirt and took the camera from his hands, accidentally playing a video as soon as I took it out of his hands.  My eyes widened as I watched a video of me and Casey at the ball. I looked at him with shock and confusion while he tried his best to loosen my grip. I went all through the files and saw that it was full of pictures of me.

I looked at him and was surprised of how sinister he looked at me. My eyebrows crossed while I tried to figure out what he was thinking and why would he record me? With anger, I smashed the camera at looked at him. He was still smiling while he held another camera. I took it from his hand and threw it on the wall, smashing it into pieces when it came in contact with the wall. Without letting him go, I grabbed my towel and covered my body and called the guards.

As soon as I shouted the two kids ran away, but the guards caught them just in time.

"What seems to be the problem here?" A commander like guy came in while two of the guards held the other kids.

"I caught these goons sneaking up on me and taking pictures and videos of me." I said as I still held the other one.

"Figure out who their parents are before letting them go." I shoved the other kid towards the guy and took his backpack. "Call their parents and inform them what these three was doing." Then I glared at the kid and he was grinning at me. "You know what, call that one's parents to inform them that their child won't be joining them for a while, they shouldn't be here in the first place and their parents should be responsible enough to watch over them." Then the grin on his face vanished.

"Understood." The guy said and I nodded.

They immediately got out when I gave them the order and so I got dressed and went through the boy's bag.

"What the hell..." I muttered as I observed 13 cameras in front of me. That kid's been carrying 15 cameras before I smashed the two? Who was that?

I was sitting on the floor when the door bursts open. "What the hell happened here?!" An angry Xander appeared in front of me. "Why did you did you do that to the kids?!" Okay now I'm furious.

"Those kids were stalking me! Taking pictures of me and Casey and recording a video of me TAKING A SHOWER! Are those the kids you're defending for?!" I shouted even though my throat still hurts like hell.

"They're just kids!!" He shouted back. "Can't you get it?! Fine! They're just kids! But is it normal for kids to do what they just did?!" I was literally about to burst.

"How insensitive can you be?!" He shouted then muttered. "I can't believe I have a mate like you." Then he left.

I stood there, shocked. I can't believe he just said that, all I could do was cry. He doesn't want me to be his mate anymore. I need to go. I don't want to be here anymore. I looked at the room and saw the purse that I brought when we went to that ball. My house keys are still in there.

And so I decided.

It's 10:00 and they should be sleeping right now, Xander's still not back. I gathered my things and accidentally stepped on one of the cameras, so I decided to record my message to all of them and leave it on their rooms, I made 5 videos in 5 cameras, one for Casey, May, Aiden and Xander, and Elena and Jasper shares one. What? I have 13 cameras, making it all on one camera can mix things up. So I made 5.

And then I left.

Xander's POV

I slept in another room, I can't face her like that yesterday, I was furious, sure the kids made a mistake but to imprison them was wrong! But I can't be mad at my mate for this long. I got to make things better again. I was about to get up when the door bursts open revealing Casey sobbing, I quickly got up and went to her. "What's wrong? What happened?" She didn't say anything. She showed me a camera and played a video of Sapphire

*"Casey! I'm sorry if I can't say good bye to you properly, but I'm leaving, I made a mistake that probably made Xander mad at me, and I think he hates me now. Last night we had a fight and he regrets that I'm his mate. It's probably childish of me to run away but this is all I can do. Don't come and look for me, I love you and don't forget that okay? I got to go, Bye"*

"S-She left…" Casey sobbed, I was shocked, this is all my fault. "She left a message for each one of us. Mine and Aiden was on our room, Elena and Jasper's at theirs, May also and you probably have one in your room." As soon as she said that I quickly ran towards our room and found a camera on the night stand.

*"Xander, I'm sorry for what I've done, I understand if you don't want me as your mate anymore. I left in order for you to make up your mind. I don't have a lot to say actually but I already recorded and explained everything to Elena and Jasper. Good bye, I love you"*

Tears were flowing from my eyes, she left me... I quickly ran up to my parents' room and opened the door. "What did she say?" They were speechless and still watching the video, I walked up to them and continued to watch it.

*"...that's what happened, I'm leaving so that Xander can make up his mind if he still wants me to be his mate, if not I am giving him permission to reject me. I am thankful that you accepted me in your life Elena, Jasper…you were the parents that I never had. I'm sorry for leaving but please understand. Good bye..."*

My mom was crying "I never raised you to be this way Xander!" My Mom sobbed.

"I'm sorry… I never thought of--" Before I cpuld even finish my sentence, Mom's hand flew across my face.

"Respecting her was all you could have done but you didn't, now your mate ran away with a broken heart and how are you going to fix that?!" I held my cheek and felt the sting.

"I don't know." I sighed.

I walked down the hallway and bumped into the guard that took away the kids last night.

"My apologies, your highness…" He said with his head lowered.

I shook my head. "It's quite alright." I said.

"I was just looking for you, your highness. If you have the time I would like to speak to you about the kids that the princess caught last night." He said which made me shot an eyebrow up.

"What of it?"

He cleared his throat.

"The one the princess caught by herself… well… we did a background check the three of them. The parents of the two came in this morning and spoke to the King but when we did a background check on the boy who the princess caught, we didn't catch a thing. There was no history of where he came from or who his parents were, it's like all the files were either missing or didn't even existed." He said.

My eyes widened at the information that he gave me.

My mate could have been endangered but I only doubted her...

Sapphire's POV

I went back to my house that night. I texted Casey letting her know that I'm alright and apologized, and told her that if she knows where I am it'll be better if she doesn't tell him about it.

I walked up to my room and noticed the mess that we left before we go to the ball...

That night I met my wonderful mate, my life was happy, but he regrets it all now. I sat on my bed and cried for hours, it doesn't feel my bed anymore, I got used to sleeping next to my wonderful mate. I miss him so much

(Where the hell are you? Are you alright? I won't tell Xander I promise, tell me where you are I'll go there tomorrow.)

I trust her, I always tell her my secret and she always keeps it a secret.
