1 The Reveal

"Azalea"

"Azalea..... Where are you?".

A very soft voice coming from a very beautiful woman is echoing in the wind. Her hair is dancing with the breeze as she slowly walked while looking around to see if the person she is calling is just near.

"Mom.... are you looking me?". A ten year old girl with a heart shape face and a tomboy look just pop out of nowhere.

"Yes I was sweetheart".She lend her hand for her to take. "Come, there's someone I want you to meet". She turned around after taking her hand and head back home.

Azalea's face drew a confused look.

'Who might it be?... Seems like someone important'. The little girl thought.

Azalea was looking at her mother while walking. She loves to stare at her beautiful face and her amethyst eyes. Her mother seems to noticed her and gave her a big smile and patted her head.

After a few minutes of walk they reached their house and Azalea push the door in a hurry. Inside she saw two men in their living room both of them are wearing suits but her eyes focus on one man who is sitting on their couch. She noticed his eyes is very calm with a hint of sadness and he is looking at her when she came in, like he is reading her thoughts. The other guy has no emotion on his face at all, he looks very formal but she can sense he is studying her.

"Mom.... Who are these people? ". She asked her mother, wondering.

"Azalea.... Come here." Celestine calls for her as she sits down on the single couch.

She hurriedly run to her mother's side and hug her then she sits on the arm chair of the couch. She's giving their guest a side gaze studying them like they do to her.

"Azalea." Celestine pause for a while. She looked deep to her daughter's beautiful and unique eyes. She is contemplating to tell her about the man in the couch her birth father, but she have no choice. "This is..... your father." She pointed out the man with a gray suit.

Azalea looked at the man but didn't say anything.

"He's here to talk to you". Celestine's voice almost break when she introduced the man to her daughter.

"Azalea... I am Charles Grimmen Son". He paused for a while and looked at his daughter's eyes and noticed that it has a very unique color. The upper half of her eyes are ocean blue and the lower part is lavander. It surprised him. "I came here for you".

"Why?". She asked him candidly and she noticed a confused look in his eyes. "If you can't answer my question... you may leave".

"Azalea!". Celestine was stunned with her daughter's words.

Azalea just looked at her mother and saw how she lowered her head, she is dodging her gaze. She already have an idea why her father came, that's because her mother is sick and she wants her to go with him. Her mother thought she doesn't know anything about her illness.

"Your mother...". He paused for a while. "She is sick". Charles almost choked with his own words. He feels a pain in his heart just saying those words but he needs to tell her the truth.

"I know... But I won't let you take me". She saw the surprised look on their faces. "I won't leave her because she's sick".

They were all stunned with her words. The supposed to be a reveal is already been known by her. Celestine feels her heart broken after finding out that her daughter already know about her illness but keeping it to herself like she do.
