The Flies

Azalea entered her room still in daze. She can't believe Jack just kissed her. It's her first kiss and she feels like it was stolen from her, the French way, but the worst part is she allowed him and she liked it.

She throws herself on her bed and buried her head under a pillow then scream.

"How am I supposed to face him again tomorrow?". She's asking herself.

When she can't answer her own question she just tossed and turn then rolled back and forth and lastly kick her feet in the air. She's going crazy.

When got tired she just lay there not moving then remembered his kiss again. Its passionate and warm but full of care.

She found herself smiling.

"I'm screwed!".

Morning comes.

Breakfast time.

Azalea cooked again for Jack. She remembers how he praised her cooking skills last night and0 also the kissed that they shared last night.

She shook her head. She wants to pretend nothing happened between them last night.

"Good morning my Goddess". He's wearing a big smile.

Azalea was stunned. He used that kind of endearment to her last night. Her cheeks began to burn red again.

"Sit and eat your breakfast". She tried to be casual but her red face is giving her away.

"You cooked?".

"Yes".

"Good". His big smile never wear off his lips.

After breakfast they went on their way at the same time but in different car and different directions. Both of their schedules are hectic today. They know they won't see each other the whole day.

Lunch came and a lunch box delivered to Jack's office. Its a three layered black bento box wrapped in a satin cloth.

It has a note sticking on top of the box.

Jack laughed out loud and the two men waiting for him were confused.

"Sir, aren't you going to eat lunch?". Corbin dared to ask.

"You two go ahead, my wife made me lunch today". He said proudly.

"Azalea your wife?..... She can cook?". Trey was so amazed. "Let me see, let me see". He's like a child peaking to another child's lunch box.

" Yes Azalea, do I have another wife besides her?". Jack is squinting his eyes. "And yes she cooks and no you can't see it".

Trey was pouting his lips and Jack was laughing at him. Sometimes he really loves to bully his cousin.

He decided to open his bento box in front of Trey, he won't never leave anyway until he sees what's inside and he was amazed when he saw the food that his wife prepared. The brown rice looks like a teddy bear while the meats, veggies and egg rolls looks like a cat and a hamster.

"She did all of that?". Trey was truly amazed.

And Jack is very proud of her.

Nigh of the banquet.

Luis Mullen's mansion.

Azalea informed Jack that she'll head first to the Mullen's banquet because Lindy nags her to death when she told her she'll drive her way their.

Jack agrees, he needs to pick up Sue anyway.

As they entered a big black steel gate Azalea is already astonished. The mansion they are going to is on a top of a hill. It looks like Count Dracula's Castle. She's very excited to see it.

Luis Mullen's mansion is as big as a castle and his yards is amazing. A lot of trees and blooming flowers are arranged in a very artistic way. Big boulders and statues are very eye catching too.

"WOW!". She said loudly and she walks like in circles.

"You like it?". Ken ask her with a big smile.

"Yes!". She answered him while nodding repeatedly.

Ken laughed at her. She looks like a child who found herself in a big carnival. She looks very happy.

Ken told her the story of his uncle's place and why he's living alone now.

He already lost his beloved wife and didn't marry again because he can't find another her. His wife loves exotic animals and she was a vet.

Before, his uncle don't like animals but when he meet her he did loved everything that matters to her.

He also told her that he built a so called pet house where he puts his exotic pets and this was his wife's last request.

"That is so cool". She is more eager to meet Luis Mullen now because of what Ken told her and also see his awesome collections.

"My uncle is weird". Lindy cut in their conversations.

"Hey don't say that, he is a good man and his blood related to us, give him some respect". He's scolding Lindy.

Azalea likes Ken's attitude he knows how to pay respect for good people.

"Hey his right respect your elders they are your foundation, besides his bloods also run to you too, at least now I understand why are you like that". She will tease her to death to get even.

"And what do you mean by that?". Lindy is starting to get into her war mode.

"Oh, nothing". And she grinned slyly.

"You two, cut that out where in a banquet remember?". Carlton put a stop in this two lass as he rolled his eyes his thinking of the word 'grow up'.

Ken chuckles he thinks Azalea is very cute when she's teasing her cousin. She's really still like a child.

As they entered the castle like mansion she was more amazed. The hall is like a fairytale banquet came to life. This is the first time she saw a place like this and she loves it.

The host hasn't arrived yet and the guests are mingling with each other. Most of them came here for the opportunity to widen their connections and some for business and others just want to show off.

"The magic has gone". Azalea said in a disappointing way.

"What?". Ken heard her but got confused with her words.

"What do you expect, this people only came here for their own purposes". Lindy almost explained what her bestfriend meant.

Ken now understands what she meant and she's right no one really came here for his uncle except for the real family others just use this banquet for opportunities.

"Well, well look who's here?". A pleasant voice came from a woman with a hint of disdain.

They all turned around at the same to see who speaks behind them.

"Sue Antaler, I thought you're not in a guest list". Lindy attacked her directly.

"Maybe, but my fiancé is". And she even cling into her fiancé.

"Jack, I'm glad you came". Ken offered his hand to his friend.

"Why wouldn't I?". He shook his hands. "I also know him". And end his statement.

Jack stared at Azalea. She's wearing her usual look, a pink big cardigan, a lady bonnet and her big glasses. But he notice the lower part of her dress, its a white silk long gown. He wonders what's the rest of it looks like.

Sue noticed how Jack is staring at Azalea's clothes she thought his disgusted by her looks. This is a high profile party and she didn't wear the proper attire. She looks like a hobo in her suit.

Other socialites noticed Sue and the group she's with in. They are like racing horses speeding to the group of people with higher profile than them.

"Oh, Sue it's so nice to see you here". Said by a chubby lady with a lot of expensive jewelry in her body.

"Oh hi Betty, its so nice to see you here too, I'm with my fiancé". She said proudly and point to Jack.

He just gave them a cold look and they dodge him.

"I heard you had an accident, what happened?". A very thin woman ask her.

"Oh that, well I found a hobo running around the Shin Tower trying to catch my fiancé's attention and I'd tried to stop her but I guess sluts like those are really strong she almost broke my ankle". She explained to them and then look at Azalea.

The ladies followed Sue's gaze that landed on Azalea and a scorned look are displayed in their eyes.

"Who is she?... She looks like a rag rat". A tall lady voice out her opinion about her.

Jack's face darkened after hearing their insults about her. He looked at Corbin who was following him from the beginning and he just nod.

"Mind your words, she's my sister". Carlton is starting to get pissed.

The ladies were alerted. They heard about the first miss of the Son family but this is the first time they saw her. And also they heard she's an illegitimate child so she's no big deal.

They didn't even bother to say sorry they just ignored her.

Carlton wants to retaliate but Azalea already read what's on his mind and give him a slight head shake, it means don't do anything.

"By the way Sue, when's the wedding day, please invite us". The chubby lady's eyes looks like its pleading.

"Pffttt." Azalea almost spit out her champagne when she heard the word wedding.

All eyes fall onto her and Ken gave her some tissue.

"Are you alright?". Ken sounds very concerned to her.

"I'm fine". She cough, she almost choke herself with a champagne.

"Why, are you not used to expensive drinks?". Sue ask her with disdain.

The other ladies chuckles. They really do despise her if not only for his brother they probably kicking her out from here.

"Actually, its not the champagne that I don't like but the flies". She speaks softly but loud enough to be heard by others.

"Flies?.... I don't see any flies". One lady said to her.

The other ladies were confused with her words they can't seem to understand what she meant.

"Oh my bad, you can't seem to comprehend with my words, let's see, I will simplify what I just said". She paused for a while.

"When you see a CRAP". Azalea staring at Sue like she was pointing at her. "The flies all follows". And she shift her gazed to the ladies standing beside her.
