Empty Words

Trey and Corbin are both standing outside Jack's office. They are waiting for their Boss to call them in or come out.

Corbin who feels like eternity in where he stands decided to walk to Susan's desk and Trey followed him with his eyes.

"Susan, how many woman is inside our Boss' office?". He directly ask her.

"Only one and that is Ms. Son". She answered him politely.

"Are you sure?". He can't believe it. "If Ms. Son is the only woman inside then..." He murmured.

"Then you are dead!". Trey said this near his ears.

He slightly jolted. Trey is already standing beside him and he didn't even noticed. He's immerge in his deep thought.

"Then you should be thanking me, I'll accompany you to death row". Corbin said bluntly to him.

"And why would I die with you?". He arc his brows while saying this.

"As far as I know you just made a mess earlier, like interrupting them". Corbin gives an emphasize on his last words.

"It's his fault he should have locked the door". And a hhmmpp sounds followed.

Corbin's face wrinkled and looked at him ridiculously.

"Why would the Boss need to lock his door, its his office, you imbecile". He is ridiculing him so much. "You're supposed to knock, dumb ass".

"Hey, you're cursing me from head to foot already, do you have a death wish?". Trey is snorting at him.

"Why wish for death when it's already coming for us, moron." Corbin said casually.

"Can you just say that without cursing me".

Trey snorted again.

Susan cough loudly, she wants to get their attention.

"Would the two gentlemen in my front desk stop bickering". And she looked at them with a cold gaze. "You are starting to look like a bickering couple and I am not a marriage councilor". Her gaze is shooing them away.

The two men move away from her they dont want to be swatted like a fly when she gets mad.

Suddenly the door opened and two people walk out. Jack is accompanying Azalea she's going out now.

As she walks out she gave Corbin a smile with a hint of annoyance.

Corbin is wearing a poker face. He don't want her to read what's on his mind. He can tell she's very good at it.

'Is she really her, the girl from the car wash?". That's what's in his mind.

After sending Azalea out Jack called for the two to come in and they hurriedly followed.

"Trey, inform Luis Mullen we're coming". He starts to give them order while walking to his seats.

"Yes sir". He noted his instruction and also noted the clothes he's going to wear.

"Corbin where's the report about the old Sherriman?". He sat down and lean on his swivel chair.

"His originally from Russia". He gave him the flash disk that contains all his reports about the old man.

"He married a half Latina and a half Ukrainian woman when he was young. They had a daughter named Celestine. His wife died giving birth but he never re-marry again. The father and daughter both worked for your grandfather but decided to quit after the young Sherriman miss gave birth to Azalea". Corbin paused for minute. He can see Jack is analysing the report he gave him.

"He died but no corpse". Jack is now reading his report.

"He was sailing when a storm came and they only found his yacht wrecked in the shore and he was presumed dead". Corbin explained.

"Is this all you've got?". Jack feels like something is missing in this report there are no layer and very plain, it's like they're only talking about a common person.

"Yes sir, the fact that they are very not sociable people and even from the underground world no one mentioned anything about them, that's everything I can get". He is also unsatisfied with his findings but there's nothing and nowhere to dig any information about the Sherrimans.

Jack felt something odd but he can't put his finger on it. He is thinking to ask his grandfather but right now he's nowhere to be found.

"Sir, do you want me to dig more?". Although he knows his already on the edge he still suggests it.

"No, leave it be for now". Jack decided to ask his grandfather himself.

"Trey is Sue out of the hospital now?". Jack turns to his cousin now.

"Yes she is, she borrowed money from a friend to discharged herself from the city hospital".

"Are they still financially unstable?".

"Yes, their stocks are still dropping and her father is already using your name to hold their investors".

Jack's face wrinkled in disdain. No one dares to used him but this Antaler's have no shame.

"Sue is keep telling everyone about your wedding, she hasn't enlightened yet". Trey made a grin.

"Let her be, as long as Azalea is safe from her don't do anything". He decided to let Sue stay by his side for now so he can watched her up closed.

Jack signaled them to leave his office and the two men did. He needs to make a call.

"Hey, I heard you were out". He changed his tone to a soft one.

"Yes babe I did, I was wondering to call you but I guessed you've sensed how my heart is missing you". Sue even made a sexy laughter.

"I'm going to attend Luis Mullen's banquet, I'll pick you up tomorrow night". He directly told her about his plans.

"Aren't you going to say you miss me first?, I haven't seen you for a while and I feel like you've been ignoring me". Sue is starting to whine.

"If you're busy I'll ask Trey to arrange another date for me". He's not in the mood to listen to her whining and he doesn't care what she wants, not anymore.

Sue feels Jack is in a bad mood she don't want him to be upset more because of her. She needs to play a good fiance role for him.

"Of course I'm not busy and even if I am, I will drop everything for you". She make sure he feels her sincerity. "You know how much I love you, right".

"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow night". He said in a casual tone then he hung up.

Even before everytime she told her she loved him he never felt anything, it's just like listening to her empty words again and again.
