Cinderella

Still on the stage.

The Son mother and daughter was face slapped so hard that they can't even moved. They wete frozen stiff and the people who were congratulating them earlier also disappeared. They never imagined that the nerdy Azalea will soon become a part of Shin family. She becomes a real life cinderella and a very handsome prince just came to take her away. Fear engulfed them. 'What if she takes revenge on them?. They were very mean to her from the start. She was weak then. But now, she can crush them like little ants without even lifting a finger. They were so worried by the thought.

As soon as Azalea stepped on the stage. She scoffed on the old Shin. Her father was flustered. 'Is my daughter have a death wish?'. His brain is wrecking in frustration. 'How can she talk to this old man like he is a nobody?'.

The crowd who's following her halted in the middle when they heard her speak.

'What the hell... Who does she think she's talking to right now'. They are all in the same thoughts. Even Jack was dumbfounded. He himself don't usually clashed with his grandfather, but this girl has no fear.

"My sweet Azalea, how are you my little cosmos?". A sad smile emitted in old Shin's face and a hint of longing and sorrow were in his eyes.

Azalea suddenly felt strange for some reason. Her heart seemed to recognized this old man from somewhere but she couldn't pinpoint where. She swallowed her tongue and couldn't utter any word. She just kept looking at him.

Then she shake her head. "Do you know me?". She asked in confusion.

The old Shin just smiled at her. "My little cosmos is not so little anymore".

"Why are you calling me like that?". The pet name his giving her confused her more. She remembered somebody used to call her like that and give her a pat on the head.

The old Shin move closely to her and pat her head. She froze. Her mind is telling her she knows him. But it also told her, he means trouble. She made a two step backwards and look at her father. Worries are written all over his face. She feels like a trouble is occurring because of her. She needs to settle this but not in here.

"We will talk about this after this party". She told him arrogantly calm.

"As you wish my little cosmos". He nod a little with politeness.

"Will you please stop calling me like that".

The old man just smiled.

"Your so annoying". She said softly. She don't know why but she feels like she can talk to him so casually.

After hearing what she just said. The old man laugh so loud with full of life. "You're still the same.... You always say what's on your mind..... I told you before that's a very dangerous traits". And a meaningful looked was thrown at her.

The people down the stage who are hearing the bickering conversation of this nerdy woman and the old Shin are in confused state.

'Who is this woman doesn't she know who is she talking to,how can she make such remarks and command the old Shin'. They are all whispering asking each other and theirselves. But no one can answer for them.

Azalea was unfazed. She's as calm as breeze in the meadow. One side of her lips curve upwards. "You can't have anything you want because I know my rights".

"It's not about your rights my dear little cosmos, this is about everything you and him". He is pointing at his grandson. "that matters".

She squinted her eyes and sealed her lips then leave. She walked pass through her brother.

"Big sis..."

"I'll be heading home."

"Wait!..." Jack grab her arms.

Azalea is looking down on Jack's hand clenched onto her. She glared at him. Jack's brow is knitted in to one line. He's angry and confused.

"Do you know my grandfather, is this a scheme of yours?" his gritting his teeth. He heard what they were talking about and they sound like they know each other and he thought this must be a scheme he's just not sure who is scheming who.

"Take your damn hands of my sister."Carlton's voice is in raged. His trying to shake Jacks hand off his sister. But he is holding her tightly he wants some answers.

Ken can't stand this his friend is getting violent towards Azalea. He won't let anybody hurt her even if he is his friend. He grab Azalea and take her away from Jack.

Azalea was surprised by Ken's reaction. He's defending him against his own friend. She didn't noticed herself smiling. At the center of this big commotion her imagination run wild, she feels like in a fairy tale with her prince saving her from a big bad goon. Her cheeks turned red and she shyly stared at her prince charming.

"Would you mind... Your hurting her." Ken's expressions were dark.

"Stay away from this Ken this has nothing to do with you." Jack warned him.

"And if I don't?"

"Don't make me regret saving you."

"Oh, now your using that to brush me off, how convenient."

Jack's irritation is pushing to the limit his losing all of his control. He is going to burst in full anger. "She's going to be my wife can you get lost." he shouted at Ken. His words is like a thunder echoed inside the hall.

Everyone's jaw drop wide even Azalea's. 'Is he losing his mind what the hell is he thinking?' her mind is shouting at rage. She look at Ken and feel embarrassed. She is starting to like him and considering him to be a boyfriend material but someone is throwing a husband at her. What a headache.

"Get a hold of yourself!" Ken is also shouting back at him. "Give Sue some face, she's still your girlfriend until now."

Jack look at Sue and he tried to calm himself. Ken is right this is not the place to deal with this matter.

Azalea sigh, 'good thing Ken is here he put Jack in his rational mind again' she thought. She lowered her aching head thinking that this is the worst night of her life. 'Why did I agree to be here.' she wants to smack her own self.

Ken is looking at her full of worries. He thought she can't handle the situation anymore and wants to cry now. He feel helpless his heart is aching for her. She looks so delicate and fragile and this is to big for her to handle.

"I'll take you home." that's the only thing he can offer to her right now.

"No need, I have my own car." she refused nicely then left.
