Baby On The Loose

"He's right here..." Trey can only see a blanket but without a baby.

"Right where?". Jack quickly stands up and took a stride to where his cousin is.

"We just put him in here". He was dumbfounded. He can't believed a little thing like that can vanished into thin air for a second.

Corbin is walking back to Trey's direction after putting the parcel he took from the company messenger.

"Maybe he went out". He blurted to them not realizing he was the one who left the door open.

The two other men looked at the open door then looked back at him with a dagger looks.

"You moron how could you leave the door open!". Trey is shouting at him. This is the first time he became moronic to his eyes.

"Go out and look for him. He won't go far this is the only room in this floor there's no where for him to go". Jack is still calm he owns the whole floor and he is assured there's no place he can hide.

The two took a while before coming back and found nothing.

"Sir do you want me to alert the security?". Corbin suggest.

"Alert them of what?.... That we have a baby on the loose, are you kidding me?". Trey remarks at him annoyingly. He can't believed he just heard a dumb suggestion from him.

"And do you have any other suggestions I would like to hear it". He is getting pissed Trey is trying to slander him little by little in front of his boss.

"The two of you just shut up. I need to think". And Jack became silent. He thought his cousin is right they cannot just inform and alerted all their security about the loose baby. He might get hurt if a lot of people would try to apprehend him this should be done quietly.

"Corbin ask only the head security about this matter and make him check every person who came in and out of this floor and tell him to report directly to us". He is making a game plan.

"Wait... The company messenger did came with his cart do you think he rode himself there and he was taken away without that man's knowledge?". Trey is assessing the possible situation. The cart do have layers and he is carrying to many things he might not noticed a baby climb in there.

"Look for that cart we will personally see him". Jack is looking at Corbin.

"On it". He called the head security and explained what's their situation and make it clear to him that this is supposed to be done quietly.

They went out and noticed Susan is not on her table. He remembered he sent her out to other executives office for other documents signatures. Good thing at least they don't need to make any excuses why they are leaving without the baby in their hands.

The head security called Corbin and informed him on what floor did the company messenger goes to.

"Sir he is in the marketing department. I'll informed them that we are going to make an internal audit, personally". Corbin reported to him.

"Do that". Jack simply replied to him. In his mind a lot of scenarios came crushing in and a lot of questions is bombarding his head but there is one sure thing will going to happen if he really lose that baby. Azalea will kill him, literally.

The three with two bodyguards behind them went to marketing department and the manager in there personally tour them. All the female employees are looking at them agape. They are all starstruck by the good looks of the three powerful entities of the company. Some of them are trying to get their attention. But everyone fails.

Trey and Corbin are having a hawk eye to every corner of the place they expect him to pop up any minute and crawl his way to scape them. Corbin's phone ring again and the head security informed him that the man they are looking for has left the place.

"Sir he is in the human resources and finance department now". He informed him.

"What!.... Were going there too!". Trey was stupefied he don't know how long are they going to follow this man.

"Do you have any problem with that?". Jack and his burning phoenix eyes are fix to him.

"Of course not..... Why would I have any problem with that.... I love visiting different departments, you know, lot of girls". Trey is smiling at him but his lips looks like it was rip apart.

Corbin is in his serious face and he can see Trey's eyes throwing all the blame to him. And as a man with dignity he accepts it because it was really his fault that Jack's office door left opened and little Mickey scaped.

The three left the marketing department with a lot of broken hearts. No woman caught their attention but all was pleased that they were graced by their presence. They head to the other department to continue their baby hunt. Jack asked the security head if they can see anything special in the messenger's cart. He was informed that they can't see much except for a lot of parcels and other items in his cart.

As they entered the next department all women employees became like a giraffes. They are simply popping their heads out from their office cubicles just to take a glance at them and they came back to their seats giggling like teenage girls. Other men just looked at them and can't help but to compare themselves at the trio. But the air of King in Jack's presence makes them stooped down. Just like from the first department they didn't find the baby.

The head security informed them that the man they after are heading to the elevator after hearing that they went rushing in and found him riding the elevator just in time.

"Halt!". Jack stopped him before the elevator shuts and he saw the man stopped the closing door with confusion.

"Good afternoon sir". The messenger became tensed seeing the CEO of this company face to face.

Trey and Corbin inspect his cart and found nothing. The man is wondering what they are looking for but didn't dared to ask.

"Have you seen a baby riding your cart". Jack asked him directly. He don't like guessing games.

"A baby sir?". He was confused with his question but he needs to answer it. "No sir I didn't". He was shaking a little bit but he tried to be calm.

"Damn!.... Where did that little rascal go". Jack is furious. He can't find the little baby in the building. He is very worried Azalea might come back anytime soon and she will surely going to look for him. He have no idea what to tell her she entrusted that baby to him. He don't want her to find out that he fails.

"Find that baby no matter what". He is getting worked up and he is becoming tensed.

"But we look everywhere and we can't find him". Trey is getting annoyed too and he is tired looking around for that little guy.

"I don't care where or how are you going to find him just find him before my wife's get here and don't come back to me without him". His voice is raising in anger and frustration. "If Azalea finds out that I lost him she will kill me or worst she might divorce me. If that happens I will personally put your heads on a pike and hang them in the tower antenna until crows eats you up to the bones". He is in rage and starting to grit his teeth.

The three men including the messenger swallowed hard like they were stuffed by stones to their throat. They can feel a monster like presence in him.

"S.....s....sir". The company messenger is stammering and he is being skeptical to tell them what he saw in the CEO's office when he was there delivering a parcel.

"What!". Jack throws him a killer's look.

The man tried to gather his strength and courage he knows how important the baby that they are looking for. The CEO won't be running around if it wasn't.

"I.... Thought... I saw that baby inside your office crawling to the back of the single couch while he is biting his feeding bottle with him". He did finished his words then made a deep sigh of relief.

Jack looked at him swiftly and run back to his office as quickly as he can followed by his men. He feels agitated while he is inside the elevator. He feels this is the longest ride he made way up. When he reached his office he looked at the back of the single couch but did not see any baby.

"Spread around and look at every corner". He was looking at every corner too until he comes to his table and look below. And there he found him sleeping quietly.

Jack took the sleeping little Mickey to his arms and saw his men looking at him with exhaustion and relief. He signaled them not to make any sound so that he won't wake up.

"What's his name again?... Mickey, they should changed it to Houdini the greatest scape artist on earth. He really knows how to make us worry". Trey is shaking his head but smiling. This is his first encounter with a baby and he knows how to make it very memorable.

"When he grows up I will hire this little man he's good". Jack is now at peace.

"Wow!". Azalea's jaw almost drop when she sees her husband carrying little Mickey on his arms. "Ah, your so cute... You put him to sleep?... That's so adorable". Azalea's face is full of joy and admiration and she is very pleased with her husband. She can't help herself and kissed him in front of other people.

Jack was very surprised when she came back without noticed. Good thing that they already found Mickey. He have no idea what to tell her if she came back without him he knows she'll be furious. Seeing her very pleased with his job is a great accomplishment for him and being rewarded with a very sweet kissed from his most beloved wife is the greatest reward he ever achieved.

"I want to make three of this now". She whispered to his ears.

"Can we start with a prince and a princess first?". He don't think he can handle three little creatures like this.

"Okay". She agreed lovingly.
