26 I have Chosen to Trust HIM.

When Drake reached in the fifth floor the elevator opened widely revealing Shanell in front of the elevator. He immediately switched from the serious mode to usual Drake mode.

"Hey... Sister..."

Before he could finish the sentence Shanell closed his mouth with her right hand and put her left-hand index finger on her lips indicating him to stop calling her sister-in-law in the office.

Drake smiled through her hand and whispered.

"Don't let my brother see this?"

"What?"Shanell asked him after the door closed behind them. She removed her hand and looked at him to answer her question.

"I said if my brother sees what you did earlier to me he will definitely kill me." Drake said.

"I was just shutting you up earlier. If someone hears you calling me sister-in-law, how are we going to explain ourselves? And don't you know that someone else in the company really wanted to hear you call her that?"

"WHAT??? How did you find out about it this fast? My brother didn't know about it until now." Drake asked surprised.

"Your brother didn't know about it till now?" she also surprised to know that.

"You didn't answer me but asking questions? Wow! Shanell you are acting like my big brother."

Shanell rolled her eyes at him and asked again.

"Answer me Drake?"

"Yes he didn't know about it till this morning and now he knows and I got punished for keeping it from him, see." Drake said while showing his hand to her.

Seeing his arm red Shanell became a caring sister.

"Oh it's red, come let's put some ice on you." She said.

"No it is okay now, don't worry sissy."

"OK you will never change and what's with the new nickname?"

"What? I didn't call you sister-in-law but sissy."

"OK whatever."

"Now it is your turn to answer my question." Drake said and Shanell told everything happened, to him. He assured her that it is just a rumor and nothing is true.

"Do you think I will believe whatever I hear? I have chosen to trust him so don't worry about such petty things." Shanell said patting on Drake's shoulder.

They reached at the third floor and Drake said goodbye to her and went out and the elevator closed behind him.

Veronica and Samara was worried about Shanell, so they called Shanell. Shanell answered the call.

"Hey Nick."

"Hey Shan I am also here." Sam said.

"Oh it's a conference call."

"Yes Shan, we were worried about you after that day, and we didn't hear anything from you since then. So we decided to check up on you." Nick said in worried voice.

"Oh I am so sorry girls for not updating you about the situation."Shanell said and told everything happened after their meeting.

"Wow Shan how are you so strong to withstand even after finding out he is keeping secrets from you?" Sam asked in concern.

"Sam, Nick I have already guessed what is he hiding from me but I just want to know it from him, so I am waiting for it."Shanell said to her friends.

"What do you mean by that?" Nick asked without understanding what actually Shanell said.

"Yeah tell us about it Shan." Sam also supported Nick.

"Guys I will tell you about it later now I am in the office and I have to go and see Zeus now, so that I can join and start working. Bye girls." Shanell said.

"Bye Shan don't forget to tell us everything." Both Nick and Sam said and hung up the call.

Shanell came out of the elevator and saw Lisa searching through some files. She walked towards Lisa.

"Good morning Lisa"

"Good morning, Miss Shanell."

"So far I have told you that you don't have to be formal with me. I am just an employee in Zeus Corporation like you."

"But you are still Mr. Zeus's fiancé."

"Then does that mean you see me as your lady boss?" Shanell asked raising her left eyebrow slightly.

"Yes Miss Shanell"

"OK then I am telling you as your lady boss now that you should address me as Shanell from now on."

Lisa looked at Shanell and the surrounding aura was exactly like Zeus's. Lisa smiled and nodded.

A smile finds its way back to Shanell's lips, and she looked at the closed door in front of her.
