21 Could The Devil Be An Obedient Kid?

After Shanell left his room, Zeus called Drake.

"Brother, did you tell her everything? How did she react to the truth? Anyway I told her brother about it, and he is okay with this marriage and I think he will help us to persuade sister-in-law. So don't worry brother if sister-in-law is unhappy."

Drake said answering Zeus's call.

"No Drake I didn't tell her everything."

"What are you saying brother? If she does not know the truth, she will lose her faith in you. She is an innocent girl brother. Don't hurt her. Even though she doesn't deserve someone like you, her fate can't be changed..."

"What? She does not deserve someone like me?" Zeus asked in anger.

Drake instantly felt a cold shiver on his spine and immediately regretted what slipped out of his mouth.

"No brother I didn't mean that..."

He tried to get together himself in front of his devil brother.

"I want the collaboration of Elite International done and Inspire's new winter collection done in next week. I want to see the reports on my table before my business trip to Japan."

"But... but brother it was supposed to be done in a month. Don't do this to me brother... I am your younger brother..."

"No more excuses" Zeus said and disconnected the call.

Drake cursed his own tongue to getting him in this situation.

Shanell went outside Zeus's room and regaining her thoughts. She started to think why she could not be angry with this man even after finding out that he is keeping secrets from her? Why did she forgive him so easily when seeing him on his knees? She clearly knew that she was angry at him, but when he said he will tell her everything, asked her for another chance on his knees, why did it changed her mind? Why did she believe every word he said to her? How did she know she could trust him even after keeping secrets from her?

She couldn't find answers to these questions, so she just decided to wait for the answers. Then she went to Lisa for asking about the information about the interview. Lisa was on a phone call and seeing Shanell coming towards her she tried to end the call faster and took some papers from the file on her desk.

"Miss Williams, these are the details you need to focus on the interview. The interview will be held on sharp 9.00 a.m. at our H R Department." She handed the documents to Shanell.

"Thank you, Miss Lisa, I am looking forward to work with you and please call me Shanell next time."Shanell said with a smile on her face.

Even though she tried to hide her embarrassment behind her smile, Lisa saw it evidently. She noticed that Shanell's eyes are red, and she is trying to hide something.

Lisa could not believe her eyes. Did Shanell cry after having a conversation with Zeus? She thought that Zeus will be soft and caring towards Shanell but after their meeting Shanell looks like she cried Lisa thought and replied to Shanell.

"But Miss Shanell, Mr. Zeus will be angry if he hears us calling you your name without properly addressing you."

"No he won't. I will tell him about it."Shanell ensured Lisa.

Could the Devil be an obedient kid in front of Shanell? Or will he make such an innocent girl like Shanell suffer?

Lisa smiled and nodded. Shanell waved her goodbye and went to the elevator. Lisa looked at her and analyzed. She doesn't have a perfect figure, but she is in fact beautiful. Her personality is quite the opposite of Mr. Zeus's personality. She is kindhearted warm person. She completes Mr. Zeus and he completes her.

After Shanell went in the elevator, Lisa started to do her work.

Shanell reached the parking lot and walked towards her car. She saw Drake along with Tyler and Brian.

She walked in and asked Drake.

"Drake why are you suddenly here? Didn't you tell me you want to spent time with my brother?"

"Yes we did spend time together sis...sorry Shanell. After that I had to come here, so I am here."

"Really, Drake. I don't know what to trust now and whom I should trust." She said.

Drake's face revealed how he felt when she said it.

"I am sorry Shanell."

She ignored it and said.

"Okay I am leaving."

"Shanell, did you cry?"Drake asked out of nowhere.

"What? Cry? Me? No way, Drake." She said.

"Did my brother hurt you? What did he say to you? Are you alright? Don't take his harsh words to your hear?" Drake said with concern right away.

"Drake, will you please stop it? I am alright and you should be concerned about your brother. He is the one who did something out of his limit. So go and check whether your brother is alright or not?" She said and entered the car.

Drake thought about his conversation with his brother and felt something is wrong in reality, because his brother was acting weird after his meeting with sister-in-law. So he ran towards the elevator straight away.
