10 Because I Don't Want You To Misunderstand Me

Zeus reached home in an hour after the call with Drake. He went to his study room and Drake was also present there. As Drake saw his elder brother entering the study room he immediately went by Zeus's side.

"Bro, you are back. Come on tell me everything about tonight. I don't want to miss anything." Drake couldn't control his excitement and the urge for the gossips was overflowing in him.

"Shut it Drake. Hand over the file now." Zeus ordered and the surrounding aura was so scary, so Drake jumped away with a fright and said.

"It's on your table, bro."

"You may go."

Drake right away fled from the study room after hearing his big brother's order. He didn't want to become the prey for his big bro's anger.

Zeus skimmed through the file Drake given him and made some international calls. After the calls he looked at the wall clock, it was about 2.30 a.m. So he decided to not disturb his parents and went to his room.

Next morning Zeus woke up hearing his phone ringing. He looked it and saw that it was Shanell who called and there are two missed calls from her so far. He looked at the time and realized that it is very late for the morning meeting with new project clients and answered the call.

"Good morning Shan."

"Good morning Zeus, Are you busy?"

"No"

"Then can we meet today, I have something to tell."

"Sure, I have a meeting at Zeus entertainment. So come over there at 1.00 pm."

"Zeus, it's your company. How can I meet you there for an unofficial matter?"

"Shan, after a few months it becomes yours as well. So why don't you come here and familiarize with the environment."

"Okay Zeus if you put it in that way, I will meet you there at 1.00 p.m." Shan hung up.

Zeus turned around and saw his younger brother's excited face.

"What?"

"Is sister-in-law coming over to the company?" Drake asked jumping around Zeus. If he is a puppy then we could have actually seen that his cute eyes and his tail is wagging rapidly while asking this question. Zeus thought that how he could have a brother who is truly into gossips. He glared at Drake and Drake could not take it. So he said.

"Brother, don't hit me for asking about sister-in-law. I just over heard your conversation with her, so I thought if she is coming to the company then I could meet her today."

"Yes she is coming to the company. So don't disturb us."

"Oh brother how could you easily forget about your handsome younger brother when sister-in-law came in your life?" Drake couldn't control his pain and blurted out.

"Come to the office at 1.00 p.m. And you can meet her." Zeus said with an annoying look on his face.

"Really bro, you are finally saying okay to my meeting with sister-in-law?" Drake completely forgot about how he felt a second ago when he heard his brother's answer.

"Yes. Now call Lisa and ask her to delay today's morning meeting with the clients. I am already late for it." Zeus said to Drake and went to take a shower.

After changing, Zeus went downstairs to greet his parents. They were in the dining table to have breakfast. When the elders saw their older son coming downstairs, they right away went to talk to him.

"Good morning dad, mom."

"Zeus how was your date with Shanell yesterday?" asked Gina.

The question was answered by Drake who came downstairs behind Zeus.

"Are you doubting my big bro, mom?"

Gina gave Drake an angry look and continued to ask Zeus about the date.

"It was good."

Suddenly Joseph's phone rang and he answered it.

"William, how are you?"

"Joseph I am good. I want to know if we can arrange the dinner this weekend."

"Oh sure William, it will be our pleasure to have dinner with the Nirvana family."

"OK then its settled."

William hung up the phone. Joseph turned towards his family and said.

"We will be having dinner with Nirvana family this weekend."

"Dad, mom I am going to the company meeting."

"Zeus, why are you in a rush? I want to know about your date yesterday. Why don't you tell me about Shanell?" Gina asked and Drake eagerly waited for his big brother's answer.

"Nothing special mom and I don't have time to waste talking nonsense."

"NONSENSE!!! You think talking about these things is nonsense?"

"Honey, if he doesn't want to talk about it then we should respect his privacy. We forced him to this, so I don't think we should interfere more in his decisions." Joseph said to his wife.

Without fully agreeing to the words of her husband still Gina stopped asking more about Shanell.

"I am leaving then."

"Bro wait for me." As Zeus walked towards his car, Drake followed him.

After the client meeting Zeus and Drake went straight to Zeus Entertainment to meet the Director for discussion of the ongoing projects.

At 1.00 p.m. Shanell reached at the entrance of Zeus Entertainment. Brian and Tyler were accompanying her.

"Hey Ty, isn't this Zeus's company? Why little sister came here?"

"Brian, Zeus took his first move."

"Ty, why am I not informed about it?"

"Zeus called me earlier to tell us to accompany little sister to his company today. That's why we have been with little sister today."

"And you didn't tell me about it until now. Great brother, you to go behind me and do these things. Wait till we get together in the club and I will show you both what will happen when you leave me out of something this important."

"Brother, please spare me I totally forgot to inform you about it. It was my mistake Zeus asked me to inform you since he is busy with the meetings. Please bro, you know I can't win if I fight you."

"Alright this is the first and last. If it happens again then, remember who you have to fight with."

" Okay bro."

Shanell stopped at the front door and turned towards Brian and Tyler.

"First brother(Brian), second brother(Tyler)... I have to meet an important person here. I will call you to come and pick me after the meeting. Can you two go back and wait for me?" Shanell said.

"Are you sure little sister?" Ty asked with doubt.

"Yes second brother. I have to go and meet him alone. Can you two not come inside with me today?"

"Alright little sister, go inside we will wait for you. Come Ty."

"Thank you first brother." Shanell said with an excitement in her eyes. Then she went inside.

"Ty, did you see how excited is little sister today?"

"Yes she is excited and happy. I wish her to be happy in future with our brother Zeus. She deserves it."

"I had thoughts before why she had to smile when she is not happy with the life she had? But as time passed and I got to know her more, I understood she is stronger than any other girls of her age."

"That's right Brian. She is strong. She is perfect for our bro Zeus. Come let's go."

Inside Zeus Entertainment, Shanell saw the reception counter and there was a lady with heavy makeup in her receptionist dress. The name tag on her chest showed her name. Shanell approached the receptionist.

"May I help you ma'am?"

"Where can I meet Mr. Zeus Joseph?"

When the receptionist heard the name Zeus Joseph from Shanell, she had a doubtful expression on her face. She looked overall appearance of Shanell. She wore a casual outfit and a light make up. But she also wore a mask to not get identified by anyone. From the looks of her cloths, she can be considered as a commoner. But since she wore a mask and the receptionist could not understand who the girl is standing in front of her by just looks on the outfit. She could be a famous socialite or a famous actress who does not want to expose her identity. Since Zeus does not meet any commoner girls or any girls at all and the only person who met girls even in the company is Drake. So the receptionist asked Shanell in a doubt.

"Are you sure ma'am, is it Mr. Zeus or is it Mr. Drake?"

"It's Mr. Zeus. Can I meet him now? Is he busy?"

"Do you have an appointment, ma'am?" She asked Shanell with disbelief in her eyes.

"Yes. He asked me to meet him at 1.00 p.m. here."

"Mr. Zeus is in the seventh floor of the building. Please go straight and turn left where there you can see the lift. You can see the door to the conference room on the right side of the lift at seventh floor, wait there and Mr. Zeus will be there." The receptionist said to Shanell with envious voice.

"Thank you, Miss Rita." Shanell said after taking a glance on the name tag on her chest and walked towards the lift.

The receptionist took out her phone to click a picture and straight away send the message of a girl in mask coming to meet the big boss on the colleagues Whatsapp group with the picture of Shanell walking towards the lift.

The news of mysterious girl in mask who came to meet big boss spread faster than a wildfire. As Shanell reached the seventh floor and walked towards the conference room, she could feel so many eyes are watching her. She ignored them and entered the conference hall while removing her mask. She saw two handsome men in suit talking while one was looking out through the window and the other was sitting on top of the conference table.

The sound of door opening made the two gentlemen to turn towards the door and when they saw Shanell the one sitting on the table jumped down and ran towards her.

"Sister-in-law, nice to meet you, I am Drake. Zeus's younger brother. Please come in and sit. What do you want to have juice or coffee, or we can even have lunch if you are interested? What should I call you sister-in-law, or your name? Which one do you like? Or can I also call you Shan?" Drake asked Shanell in excitement.

But Shanell was shocked and looked at Zeus's direction for help. Zeus slowly walked towards them and grabbed Drake's collar and threw him behind. Drake fell.

"Don't mind him. He is just excited. Please have a seat."

Then he directed Shanell towards the conference table and pulled a chair for her to sit. She sat and looked at Drake who is still on pain because of the fall and then looked back to Zeus.

By seeing her looks and the mask on her hand Zeus understood she wants to have a low profile and not become a center of attention. So he didn't ask about the mask and said.

"Shan, this is Drake Joseph my brother and Drake, its Shanell Williams your future sister-in-law."

"Oh brother why don't you just leave sister-in-law to me and I will take care of my sister-in-law and I want to talk to her about you."

"Ask her yourself."

Shanell looked at this pair of brothers who is entirely different from each other. One was cold as ice and superior. Other is a gossip lover cheerful person, and he is also carefree as a child. The only similarity in both of them is that both of them are in fact hard to deal with.

Shanell smiled and let out her hand to have a shake hand with Drake. Then she said.

"I am Shanell Williams, nice to meet you brother-in-law."

"Big bro she called me brother-in-law before even calling you darling." Drake instantly whispered in Zeus's ears.

Zeus gave Drake an angry look. Drake went to Shanell's side at once and said.

"Sister-in-law, help me escape from my brother's hitting."

"Hitting???" Shanell asked him with a puzzled look.

"Don't you see how my brother looking at me. That look is the look before he starts to hit me." Drake said. His voice indicated how scared he is right now. Shanell looked at Zeus and inquired.

"Zeus, are you going to hit your brother?"

"No" Zeus said trying to suppress his anger.

Shanell looked at Drake.

"Sister-in-law, you are my savior, thank you so much for helping me. It's because of you my brother is not going to hit me. If you want to know anything about my big bro just asks it to me and I will answer you." Drake said.

Shanell smiled and said.

"Okay"

Zeus then asked Drake to leave them alone so that she can talk to him alone and say what she wanted to say. Drake left the conference room and when he reached the lift many female employees surrounded him and started asking so many questions about 'the mysterious girl in mask'. Even though Drake is carefree and playful, he didn't want to expose Shanell. He also understood why Shanell wore a mask and so to protect his savior from gossips and rumors he tried to not to open his mouth and blab about her. So he answered them that she is a new client, and they are discussing a new project and not to bother them.

Zeus put his hands in the pockets of the pants and leaned on the conference table beside Shanell.

"What do you want to talk?"

"Zeus, my dad is moving on with the wedding really fast."

"I know, this morning your dad called my dad and asked to have family dinner in this weekend."

"So by this time he called your dad."

"Yes"

"Zeus, I know it is too much to ask but you said to me that if I have anything to ask you then I should ask you and not hesitate. So I gathered my courage and asking you this. Please keep our wedding a secret." Shanell looked in Zeus's eyes with hope that he will agree to it.

"Why?"

The cold voice penetrated Shanell's ears, and she said.

"Because there are so many suitors willing to marry you and one of them is my best friend. I have a small circle of friends and I honestly don't want to mess up my relationship with friends over a man. I just need some time to deal with it. So please keep it a secret. I beg you."

Shanell explained and looked at Zeus for his answer. He paused and thinks about it for a few minutes.

"But that is not the only thing you want from me. You want me to tell our parents also about keeping it a secret, right?"

He asked and her eyes sparkled with a hope.

"Yes, you are right. Please do it for me, big boss Zeus. I will never ask anything from you again." Shanell tried to convince Zeus.

"Cute"

"Ugh..." Shanell became dumbfounded by hearing Zeus saying 'cute'.

Zeus pinched Shanell's cheek and said.

"Okay, Shan I will do it. But that does not mean you should not ask anything to me again. You can ask me anything you want and I will give it to you if it is possible for me to do it."

Shanell felt warmth in his words. She never thought that Zeus will be so good to her. So she blurted out without knowing while looking deep in his eyes, giving herself to him.

"Why are you so good to me and why are you not the person I heard of?

Zeus held her hand in his, looking in her eyes to find her inner soul and said.

"Because I don't want you to misunderstand me."
