11 Dee Driving Drama pt 2

SUNDAY. 3:00 PM.

"I have Netflix, sci-fi novels, popcorn, hot boys magazine, educational flyers and I even brought my make up kit and my nail polish. A lot of things to do so we won't get bored on this 5 hour drive."

I stare at Jenny whose eyes is wide with excitement. "Wow, you really came prepared." I say.

"Yes I did. I'm super excited for this camping trip. I get to go on Campeek! in my sophomore year, junior year and senior year again."

I chuckle at how excited she looks.

"So what do we do first?" She asks me.

I look down at the open bag on her lap, which has all of the things. I squint my eyes at them. "How about we watch Netflix, paint our nails, look at photos of hot boys and sleep."

She laughs. "You're only saying that because you don't want to read." She lifts up a sci-fi novel. "This novel is no ordinary novel,"

I smile at her, "Yeah, I bet it is." She punches me on the arm, gently though.

"Okay, let's Netflix and chill with polished nails." Jen says as she put her hand in the bag and pulls out various nail polish.

"Ooh, give me the red one." I say and take the red one out of her hands.

"And I'd take the light blue one." Jenny raises it up.

I raise up the nail polish to the lights on the bus ceiling to properly see it's contents. I hope it isn't the sparkly red one.

"So what do you want to watch?"

I glance down at Jenny to see her scrolling through Netflix.

A smile forms on my face and I bring the nail polish back down, turning to Jenny. "Chinese. Let's do Chinese."

Jenny scoffs with a surprised smile, "You still haven't gotten over your obsession with Asians?"

"What? They're magnificent people." I defend.

She shakes her head and looks back at the tablet. "Okay fine. What do you want to watch?"

I suck in my lips, stopping myself from giggling. "Meteor Garden." I whisper.

"What?!" She shoots me an amused look. "How many times would you watch that show?"

"I just can't get over it, I'm sorry that I lied to you that I've stopped it but I couldn't stop. Darren Chen is just so hot, I can't even talk about Dylan right now." I look up with a smile.

She makes a sound, "I thought Adrian's the only hot guy."

"Shut up," I chuckle at her and she laughs.

I shake my head at her, recovering from my laughter and I see Adrian, Adrian Price sitting just two seats before me as he laughs and talks with Ben and some other guys seated directly behind him. He's in this bus? Then the most important; there's an empty seat beside him since he's seated at the right with only Ben. Oh freaking hell. This is like another God sent opportunity. No Madison, no class barrier.

"—Hello? Kinsley? Are you listening to me? What are you even staring at?" Jenny breaks in.

I turn to her, "Jenny. Am I pretty?"

"What?"

"Just answer the question."

"Well…" She trails, scanning every feature of my face. "Blonde hair, blue eyes, lovely cheekbones, beautiful skin, pink lips almost looking red, you're pretty Kinsley. You're actually one of the prettiest girls in our grade." She says with a smile.

"Great!" I say immediately she finishes. "I'm going to sit with Adrian." I say, about to get up but she pulls me back into my seat.

"What are you doing?" She asks with wide eyes.

"What do you mean? I just told you what I'm doing."

She shakes her head and gestures her hand all over the place frustratedly. "I mean, what are you doing? Adrian's not on this bus."

"He is. Just seated two seats before us on the right." I say with an excited smile. "I'm going in."

"No, wait." She stops me. "The bus is moving, what if you fall?"

I smirk. "I never fall."

She groans.

I stand up and straighten my white top and pat my head then turn to Jen to give her a thumbs up and a smile but she just shakes her head at me. I turn back to the front and begin walking towards Adrian's seat. Once I get there, the first to notice my presence is Ben and that's because Adrian's talking to him with his back to me, while Ben's directly facing me and he scrunches his eyebrows at me, giving me a confused look and I give him my best smile so I won't look too creepy.

I open my mouth to call Adrian's name but before I do that, the bus shakes violently causing me to topple over and fall in the left seat away from Adrian and hit my arm on the seat. Oww.

"Oops, sorry about that guys." The driver says and I glare at him.

Really Dee? Must it be now when I'm trying to make a move you enter into a bump?

I huff as I pull myself up from the two empty seats I landed on, which is still on the same column with my former seat. I stand up about to walk back to Adrian when someone quickly sits down in the seat beside me, stretching their long legs, preventing me from walking any further.

I look at the face and see a familiar pair of green eyes and dark blonde hair, not to mention his pale skin. He's on this bus too? Then he gives me an innocent smile, revealing his one cheek dimple. I scoff and stretch my left hand out to push his legs away so I can walk through but he quickly grabs my elbow and for some reason, I can't move. I keep staring into his green eyes and it suddenly makes me feel small. I really do miss staring into a certain pair of green eyes on sunny Sundays with my mum smiling beside me.

"You should sit, the bus is on a bumpy path." With that, he pulls me back into the seat beside him.

I stare at him for a moment, who does he think he is? Talking with such a commanding tone.

I swat his hand off my elbow and stand back up about to walk to Adrian once more but Madison beats me to it. I stand there as I watch her sit beside Adrian and hug him from behind, causing him to turn around and invite her in and she smiles ever so brightly at his friends. Even if Adrian turns to the left, he still doesn't see me because he's too busy staring at Madison. Once again, my heart pangs.

I almost lose my balance as the bus enters into another bump.

"You really should sit down before you hit your head." Freak ass Friday dude says.

I quickly mask my hurt expression with a strong one and look back at him. I still don't say anything as I look back at Jenny's seat to see Benji already sitting beside her. My eyes widen and Jenny gives me an I-don't-know look. Now, I can't go back to my original seat, can't sit with Adrian because of Madison. I can't believe she's also on this bus. Damn it! Everyone's on this bus.

Reluctantly, I lower myself down to the seat and the stranger exhales, "Thank God."

I fold my arms and turn to him. "You're an obstacle, you know?" I say to him. "Every obstacle preventing me from getting the good things I want in this life, let them be destroyed in the name of the Lord. I pray that in church."

He frowns at me, "You pray for the Lord to destroy me?"

"I never said that. I pray that against obstacles, you're the one who decided to be an obstacle."

He leans back into his seat, "Geez," he murmurs.

My eye wanders back to Adrian, to see him and his group talking and laughing excitedly. Even Madison's fitting in, something I struggle to do with people ever since I couldn't see my dad anymore. That's why I behave so high and mighty. If you can't join them, you beat them, right? At least I wanted to try and join them but this guy keeps on ruining my chances!

Freak ass Friday green-eyed dude sighs loudly, causing me to look at him. "Now that we're here, what should we do?"

I scoff with a smile. This guy sure is ignorant, does he really not have any idea that I'm mad at him?

"Ah, I know. Let's listen to music." He pulls out a headphone and hands it to me.

"I don't want to." I state.

"Come on,"

"No." I firmly say.

"Oh come on, it'll be fun." He winks at me and I scoff, turn in my seat to give him a firm look.

And I begin to say in a slightly loud voice, making sure I state every word carefully because it seems like this guy doesn't get what I tell him. "When I say I don't want to, it means that I don't—"

He cuts me off. "I'll put it anyways." He leans in, puts the headphones on me and I stare at him with wide eyes. His face, a few centimeters away from mine as soft breaths hit my face. I've never been in close proximity with a boy before.

He takes his time in setting the headphones correctly over my ears and I watch in surprise as he picks up his phone about to select a music.

Hell, he does whatever he wants.

I quickly pull the headphones off of me, open the closed window on my side, fling the headphones out of the bus and close the window back up.

"What the…" He trails with a shocked look on him.

"You have no idea what I'm capable of."

He scoffs then chuckles. But I'm surprised when He bends a little and moves back down to pull out another headphone and turns back to me. "I know you more than you know your self, Kinsley."
