44 His Story (3)

"Excuse me! Looking dumb and being dumb are totally different!" I protested. My line of mind was distracted because of his teasing.

"Err, could you lovebirds stop fighting in front of me? Don't you pity this single soul here in front of you?" Kunti's helpless voice reminded me that there was something more important than to argue with him.

"Okay. I get it now. The two of you are similar yet so different. Which bring me to my last question. Why are you two different?"

Kunti shook her head softly. "Unfortunately, even if I know the answer, I cannot tell you. No matter how hard I try to tell you, it's like there is an invisible bound is tying my tongue, hand, and any means to tell you the answer. You only have to know, that we are different."

I took a deep breath and straightened my back. All the information I got filled my brain and I felt my head so full. Now that I knew he was not an ordinary ghost, I only had to think the reason he became a raw spirit.

A chuckle left my lips when I realized our topic had changed. At first, we were talking about Senior Rizal and his wedding. And suddenly, out of nowhere, we talked about Tom and Kunti. Well, that's how girls talk! We jump from one topic to another in a heartbeat!

"What's so funny?" Tom asked.

"I just realized we have strayed away from the topic." I told him.

"Well, can't blame anyone. It's us girls who do the talking. It's normal." Kunti smirked as she shrugged her shoulders. I nodded along, agreeing to what she said. "Anyway, what will you do about him? Your human boyfriend, I mean." Her expression turned serious.

To be honest, I really had no idea. I didn't want to get involved in his family matter, but I was too curious to let it slip away. Especially after what I heard, it picked my curiousity to know more.

Also, there was a part of me that wanted to test the affinity Kunti told me before. Would I really feel the difference or not?

"For now, I still don't know what to do. I'll think about it again because it doesn't really involve me. I broke up with him when he got married. We really don't have any relationship now except being friends or acquaintance."

"I refuse to let you go near him!" Tom said sternly.

"Such a jealous husband! Tsk tsk tsk..." Kunti shook her head as she clicking her tongue.

"We're not married yet!" I protested.

"It's easy. I'll marry you tonight." Tom smirked playfully, which earned a glare from me. But, a blush crept to my face, unveiling the giddy and warm feeling I felt deep inside.

"Did I say I want to marry you?! Humph!" I scowled and looked away from him to hide the blush on my face.

"You two lovebirds can continue your bickering. I'll head back to my cemetery, bye." Kunti floated away, probably unwilling to stay any longer to hear our bickering. "I'll visit again later!" She shouted before she disappeared behind the wall, waving her hand to me without looking back at me.

"Thank you!" I shouted back.

"She'd better not coming here again." Tom frowned in annoyance.

"She meant good by coming here. If not for her, how can I know that the two of you are different? You should be thankful." I scolded him softly.

Tom was silent for a while. But, when I stood up to take my late bath, he followed me to the bathroom. Instinctively, I stopped and turned around.

"What are you doing?" I frowned as I asked him.

He smiled, a kind of smile that I knew would bring trouble for me. Hastily, I stepped back.

"No! Whatever it is that pop in your mind, I refuse to do it!" Shaking my head in a hurry, I moved away from him.

"Oh, come on. You don't even know what I'm thinking about!" He faked a groan, but the dangerous glint in his eyes betrayed his innocent-sounding words.

"Don't you dare!" I warned him, for whatever reason he had in mind while he floated towards me slowly.

"I want to test something..." He said while smirking sexily. Trapping me between his cold and transparent body in front of me and the sturdy wardrobe behind my back, he leaned in and whispered, "Something related to your dream last night..."

I could feel the heat rose to my cheeks, making me blush as I remembered the 'wet' dream I got last night.
