2 why teleportation scares me

if I was to have the ability to teleport like in some Wixia novels I might not use teleportation at all because based off the fact that if you teleported into a wall you would supposedly die I'm pretty sure that it would be the same with air and if not it would still love air out of your way at a speed that could cause a shockwave powerfull enough to kill those near by if I'm incorrect please state why in the comments
