Calvin vs The Electric Superman

The Superman variant looked at Calvin with a confused gaze. He could see that he had taken on a battle stance but he had yet to understand why.

"Where are we?" Superman asked.

"It doesn't matter. What matters right now is that you're going to fight me," Calvin responded.

"Fight you?" Superman raised his brow, "And why would I do that?"

Calvin didn't answer him. He looked up and he could see the countdown to when this Superman would become enraged.

'Only 3 minutes left,' Calvin thought.

Seeing that Calvin was not going to be of any help, the Superman variant looked around this new environment.

It was strange.

He couldn't feel any kind of energy signatures and that was an indication that he was far away from earth.

While trying to sense energy signatures, he could now see the energy that the forcefield surrounding the battleground was emitting.

ZAP! BOOM!

With another loud thunderclap, the Superman variant teleported to the edge of the battlefield.

He then tried to stretch his hand past the edge but it was stopped by the forcefield.

He moved his hand slightly and ripples began to form.

[Alert: Host user's forcefield's energy is being absorbed]

Immediately Calvin saw that alert, he realized that the Superman variant was trying to escape.

If the electric Superman escaped and then became enraged, the entire universe might fall.

Knowing he couldn't allow this, Calvin rushed with super speed towards the electric Superman and threw a punch!

Surprisingly, Calvin didn't feel any resistance, his hand had gone right through Superman!

The Superman variant looked at Calvin before pointing his hand at him.

A violent blue bolt of lightning hit Calvin right on his chest and he flew through the air before crashing hard on the forcefield that stopped his momentum!

Calvin got up and looked at his chest which now had a black patch that was smoking.

The super body ability made his skin impenetrable so he couldn't be injured, and because he updated it, he couldn't feel pain either.

He was lucky he did because he was sure that Superman's attack just now would have put him in a world of hurt.

His gaze returned back to Superman who continued absorbing the forcefield's energy. He then looked up back at the countdown and saw that he still had about four minutes left before he became enraged.

"It seems I might not need to wait till then to fight him after all," Calvin smiled before flying over to Superman at incredible speed.

The Superman variant sensed Calvin coming towards him. He quickly stopped absorbing the forcefield's energy and pointed both his open palms at Calvin.

A ball of blue lightning gathered in front of his palms before shooting out into a ray of lightning!

Calvin swiftly dodged the attack, and with another burst of speed, he immediately arrived in front of Superman and threw a punch that was so powerful, it displaced the air in the surrounding!

Superman was thrown back from the force of the punch. His body bounced off the platform and hit the forcefield with so much force that his body scattered into tiny electric bolts.

Calvin watched as the electric bolts converged back into the blue and white suited Superman.

He had an angered expression on his face.

Calvin quickly looked back at the countdown, he still had three minutes, but it seemed like Superman was already enraged.

As Calvin returned his gaze to Superman, he heard a loud thunderclap and felt something hit his abdomen and sending him high into the air!

Superman had teleported in front of him and threw a punch!

While Calvin was still in mid-air, Superman's eyes turned bright blue and bolts of lightning shot out from them and struck him!

His whole body convulsed from the electric currents that were now running through it.

Although he couldn't feel pain and neither could the attacks hurt him, the electric currents made him unable to move his body.

He crashed down limply on the platform and electric currents could be seen jumping around on his body.

Superman flew over to him and stretched out his hand, once again shooting a bolt of lightning at him.

Calvin grinded his teeth while his body twitched.

"Stay down," Superman said before he flew back to the forcefield and continued absorbing its energy.

Calvin was unable to move or even speak, but he could still think.

'Initiate command: «create»' Calvin said in his mind.

[Command accepted. Awaiting description...]

It was obvious that with his current set of powers, he was no match for this Superman variant.

When the countdown finished and he got truly enraged, it was popular knowledge that he would get stronger.

His only chance now was to create an ability that would work against this Superman variant, but what exactly could stop him?

Fuck.

Calvin couldn't think of anything!

This variant of Superman was resistant to kryptonite, red sun radiation and electricity was an obvious no since he could absorb it.

He was in serious trouble.

Still trying to wrack his brain to think of something, the Superman variant was almost done absorbing the forcefield's energy and the countdown was only a minute away from ending!

'This is a problem,' Calvin said in his mind as he realized that he still couldn't think of anything.

He may just have brought the end of his world.

{1} Someone brought to my notice that the story progression might have become a bit misleading. This fanfic isn't just about the MC fighting characters. He is also going to go into different universes too and the story will take a mad twist. I won't talk about that too much since I don't want to drop any spoilers, but you the readers will have full control over this as I said in the last chapter.

{2} I'm truly in a bit of a pickle, I can't think of any ability the MC can use rn against this Superman. He truly is op :(
