Chapter 50 - Meeting

After a week of travel of travel Ren and Peri finally reached the village that stood between the border fo the Land of Fire, the Land of Hot Water,and the Land of Water Osezu village, it was a pretty small village with only about 2 thousand people, from the distance one can see the shadow of the former Land of Whirlpools that was in fact only a small island.(Before any of you can try to correct me, village is made up but the location is one I choose using the shinobi world map on the wiki, so the geography is correct).

"Now we have only to meet with Dosu and then with Haku and Zabuza-san" said Ren while still checking the map with Peri on his head who was also checking on it, something that Ren noticed and while still checking the map he thought 'Peri is really unusual, he is as smart as 5 year old child, and yesterday when I was training, I saw him imitating my moves, he also has a good amount of chakra, maybe in my free time I should teach him reading, writing and if I can some chakra control'

Peri who noticed that Ren was lost in thought, lightly hit him in the face with his tail and then with his finger pointed in the direction of the tavern, woken up Ren then saw where Peri was pointing his finger and remembered about the meeting with Dosu, then he went in the direction of the tavern.

Once inside he saw the figure of Dosu still full of bandage like a mummy with still his iconic appearance the only difference was that he didn't have the Oto forehead protector and that now he sported one Kyōmei Supīkā (Resonating Echo Speaker) on both arms.

Ren sat near him and said "Oii, Dosu how are you? And are you ready for our little group debut?" and Dosu replied "You are late, I was waiting for you for almost 20 min, but yes I'm ready to see if my decision is the correct one" then he started lightly shaking his left arm, and the tavern noise become more muffled, then continued "Now you can talk no one will be able to hear us, so what is the mission?"

And as he checked his surroundings, Ren said "Nice trick, you are absorbing and releasing the sound wave around us making them clash and cancel each other, making so the no sound come in or goes out of the area around us" then he said "Well for our group first mission is to help Kirigakure change his Mizukage, the one who transformed Kiri in the village of the blood mist, but as some of my source tell me he is under a genjutsu so it is probable that he is a puppet of someone else, as our group objective, there are few, first we help the "rebels" free themself of the puppet in question while making sure there are as few loss as possible, second we will meet with two prospect member of this group, Momochi Zabuza one of the few remaining Seven Ninja Swordsman of the Mist, and Haku a guy our age more or less but really strong and he has the Ice Kekkei Genkai of the Yuki clan"

Hearing that Dosu almost screamed "Are you crazy? That is our first mission? Just take out a Kage level opponent?" and Ren counter "Hey your objective is to have your revenge on Orochimaru and I can tell you that he is stronger and harder to kill of this Yagura puppet and we won't fight him alone, after all the Kiri rebels were ready to take him on without our help..."

Dosu then let out a sigh and said "Okay, I'll do it, I'll gamble on you, do not make me regret it, what now?" then Ren stood up and said "Now first thing we rent a boat and then we heat to the meeting point, the smallest of the 14 islands surrounding Kirigakure"

As they got out of the tavern and started searching for a boat, Dosu could no longer contain his curiosity and asked "By the way what is that thing on your head?" and Ren took Peri from his head and noticed that now his smart gaze was gone and instead he looked like a regular pet and then said "He is a small child that I saved while coming here, and after healing it I got kinda attached to him so I choose to adopt him, I named him Peri"

Dosu soon lost his interest and turned his head away from it, but he didn't notice that as soon as he looked away, Peri dumb gaze was gone and the smart one came back, and he soon raised his middle finger in Dosu direction before once again resting on top of Ren head.

Ren who saw this scene tried hard to not laugh and thought 'I'll definitely raise him in Shinobi P, gotta remember to buy another camera as I forgotten mine at home, my wall of shame feels kinda empty I only got, Sakura wetting her bed, Naruto and Sasuke kissing scene, Hiruzen peeping on the sauna with a nosebleed, one I got while training the Bakudō #26. Kyokkō (Bent Light), Sasuke secretly smiling at one of Naruto jokes,the ones of Hinata with her Byakugan activated blushing while she looked at Naruto, the most recent one is of Kakashi secretly buying the new Icha Icha Paradise volume'

After some time they were finally able to find and rent a boat, and so their journey went on, Ren passed his time, training, teaching Peri how to read and write and also some basic chakra control, and some time sparring with Dosu, where he notice how much he improved from the chunin exam, with two Kyōmei Supīkā (Resonating Echo Speaker) he got more flexibility even if he can't use them together yet as is chakra control still isn't enough, right now fighting Dosu in close combat is a nightmare for most, as his sound wave can also travel troughs the water in the human body, making covering one ear useless.

And so 3 day pass and the group of two young man and a platypus-like animal finally reached their destination a small island with no trace of man around only trees and some birds and other small animals.
