Chapter 29 - Preliminary Part 4

As Ren was checking on Sakura and Ino and doing first aid on their wounds, Genma announced the start of the 6th match,

Temari vs. Ten Ten

Temari has teal eyes and sandy blonde hair, which is gathered into four consecutive pigtails, her outfit consists of a single light purple-coloured, off-the-shoulders garment that extended to halfway down her thighs, with a scarlet sash tied around her waist. In addition to incorporating fishnet worn over her shoulders and legs, specifically on her right calf and her left thigh, she also wore her black forehead protector around her neck, and has a dan almost as big as her body on her back.

While Ten Ten has dark brown hair and eyes She wears her hair in two Chinese-style buns on her head with short fringe-bangs framing her face. She wears a pink sleeveless qipao-style blouse with red sleeve trimmings and yellow fastening buttons and dark green pants. A pouch is adjusted to her thigh and her forehead protector and sandals are both blue.

The fight quickly starts with Ten Ten throwing a dozen of shurikens at Temari who easily deflect them with her folded fan, Ten Ten tries a few more time before deciding to overwhelm Temari with numbers so she take out two storage sealing scroll and with a jump unseal them throwing at Temari hundreds of different weapon.

Annoyed Temari decide to end it here unfold her fan and use the Kamaitachi no Jutsu(Sickle Weasel Technique) that causes many currents of wind to collide with each other, creating vacuum pockets, Temari controls the form that the winds take, by making them into a tornado that lifts Ten Ten and her weapons into the air, causing many cuts on her.

At the end of the jutsu Ten Ten, unconscious, fall from the air in to the now closed fan of Temari who looks at her opponent and says "How boring".

Seeing the situation Genma declare "The winner of the 6th match is Temari".

Temari than throws Ten Ten into the wall but she was saved by Rock Lee who catch her, Then Rock Lee provoked tries to attack her but was stopped by Gai.

Meanwhile Sakura and Ino woke up and started chatting then again fighting over Sasuke for a few moment and then went near their respective teammates once there, Sakura thanked and hugged Ren for his help while with a sour face Naruto was mumbling that he was cheering for her too.

As this was happening the "Scoreboard with A Screen" it showed on a red background with black letter:

(AN. sorry for the deadpool reference but it was starting to get boring to always write 'the scoreboard')

Ren shake his head and looks again at the scoreboard but this time what greeted his sight was just the plain old scoreboard 'Did I fall in a Genjustu? or am I so bored with waiting that my mind is playing trick on me? or even scarier do we really have a Deadpool wandering the omniverse making cameos left and right?'.

While Ren was worrying about a certain begin, Shikamaru and Tsuchi face each other, watching his opponent Shikamaru says in his lazy voice "Man, this sucks, plus it's tough fighting a girl" and Tsuchi replies "Then I'll end this quickly"

At the referee signal the fight starts with Shikamaru using the Kagemane no Jutsu(Shadow Imitation Technique) manipulating his shadow to stretch in Tsuchi direction.

Tsuchi having already seen Shikamaru jutsu evade it and throw two senbon with strings and bell attached to it at Shikamaru who dodge it but it seems that he doesn't notice the strings on it so he is hit by the next one throw by Tsuchi.

But when she was about to finish him off while saying "If I dodge your shadow there's nothing you can do, now to finish you...", Tsuchi notice that she is unable to move her body.

"Heh...the Kagemane no Jutsu finally worked" said Shikamaru while getting up, while a confused Tsuchi asks "What are you talking about? I do not see your shadow anywhere!".

Then Shikamaru make her notice that strings as thin as hers at that height do not leave a shadow and the one she see is his shadow that he manipulated to make it look like a string's shadow.

Then Shikamaru takes out a shuriken and Tsuchi does the same, seeing what he was doing Tsuchi yells "Are you stupid? Both of us will do the same movement, if you attack you'll get hurt too!" but Shikamaru ignore her warning and throw the shuriken.

As the shuriken was about to hit them Shikamaru starts take the position of the bridge by falling backward to evade the shuriken and Tsuchi body follow his movement, seeing that he was dodging Tsuchi is relieved at least until she hit her head hard into the wall and fall unconscious.

Getting up Shikamaru says "Hehehehe, one down, if you are a ninja, then fight with the knowledge of your surroundings" then he explains "Even if we move the same,the distance to the wall behind us is different, I used the shuriken so you wouldn't notice how close to the wall you were."

While Shikamaru was going back to the upper level and the medical team took away Tsuchi, the referee Shiranui Genma declared Shikamaru the winner of the 7th match.

And soon our lovable scoreboard-kun showed the next pairing.

Uzumaki Naruto vs. Inuzuka Kiba.

Seeing that he was the next Naruto is really excited and yell "Yes! It's here! It's here! Finally!! It's about time!" and jump down into the arena.

Meanwhile Kiba does the same and says "Uhahaha Lucky! we can definitely beat him Akamaru!"

And stand in front of each other and starts trash talking as Genma says "The 8th match , Uzumaki Naruto vs Inuzuka Kiba".
