Women's Voice

Three men sitting at a long table eating quietly is unusual.

The silence is deafening him. He understood that these two men tried to torture him. Kier knew that very well... that even they knew already, they would wait for him to speak it out. But among them, there is one person who is impatient.

Daichi slammed his right hand on the table. Shun continued eating.

"Damn it! If there's something you wanna say, say it now!"

He heaved a deep sigh. He looked up and studied the mood of these two men.

"Alright, it is not my plan to hide it. It is just the progress is kind of slow... but recently, the latest crime happened inside the hotel. It is time I make a move personally."

He then said that evening, he first met Jean, a tourist, and Senator Lou. That incident made him a possible prime suspect as few pieces of evidence pointed at him as the mastermind of the human trafficking cases these past years.

"And how long do you plan to keep it to yourself?" Daichi asked him afterward for his long confession.

He only answered him with another sigh, then smiled. Something lifted from his shoulder because he couldn't keep it longer. 

"Okay. I'll send a few of the gang near your pad house," Daichi offers.

"Isn't it obvious if some suspicious men wander around the building every day?"

Daichi smiled meaningfully. "I will ask Professor Ryan to let them stay for a while on his pad until your family solves this case. He is the closest one who lives near you."

Kier was surprised. "Don't tell me, Professor Ryan is one of your men?"

Daichi looks up and meets his gaze innocently while chewing his food. Kier laughs. He can't believe it.

"Since when?" he asked curiously."Hmm... I think, sometimes, when you fly to the US to study Law."

Of course, Kier knew Professor Ben Ryan because, since he was accepted at Harvard the following year, Ben was attending his Medicine course. He knew he shouldn't underestimate Daichi, but he respected him even more.

"Thanks."

Daichi gave him a thumbs-up, and he continued eating.

"Since it happens within my hotel. I permitted you to use all the resources we have to use the footage as evidence. Moreover, Senator Lou breached our Terms and Conditions." Shun joined their conversation.

"I don't need to tell you more. You do know what you must do," he added.

Kier nodded. He has the best and most reliable friends in the world, and he should never forget that. Also, he could ask Rudolf to hack Senator Lou's computer. Maybe they could find more evidence.

"Oi. Tell me... she's beautiful, right?" Daichi teases him.

Kier pokes Daichi's forehead. "Ouch!"

Shun just shook his head, listening to his friends. Daichi and Kier continued teasing each other.

Heaving a long sigh, he looks outside of his floor-ceiling window and his gaze past the buildings. 

There's one place he wanted to be right now.

Daichi parks his Rover outside of a familiar house. Dana immediately comes out and hugs him tightly.

"Look, Shun especially made this for you by the best pâtissier in the world!"Dana laughs at him for boasting about her favorite cake. They entered the house, and Dana quickly prepared the tea.

"Here, big sis..." he places the invitation card on the coffee table.

"What is this?" Dana picks up the beautiful envelope and reads what's written on it. "Bella Collection Fashion Show? She is here?"

"Yes, and she invited you to attend the show.""Wait, is this real? What am I going to wear?" Dana began panicking.

Daichi laughs. "Don't worry, Bella prepared one already."

"Really? How did she know of my sizes?"

Daichi grin. "I asked brother-in-law Mike."

Dana was surprised but then flattered. Her husband is still full of surprises until now. Smile playing on her lips.

Daichi could see the sparks in Dana's eyes. That security and feeling of love. He was glad that after that horrible past, Dana found the strength to rise and move forward.

"Am I really worthy of being there?" Dana asked curiously why so sudden.

"Of course, you should be there. Bella will turn over the donations they will gather from this Fashion Show. She wanted to have this opportunity to give her support to the Foundation.

"Dana became an active volunteer to help abused women and minor children. The Foundation sheltered those with nowhere to go, and justice is elusive for them.

They will help those victims and abuse to start a new life by guiding them and giving them jobs so that society won't judge them.

Most of all, they will receive legal assistance from the Lawrence Law Firm.

Madam Kaye Lawrence is a public servant as a Women's voice. She and Dana work together to fight to gain protection for Women's rights, including the children.

"Kier found a reliable lead to point out the mastermind of this human trafficking case," he told Dana.

"Is that true? Then I will pray that it will be soon. I heard from Madam Lawrence that the number of foreign victims is increasing. This is also an international affair."

"Yes, big sis. Kier will help to solve this sooner," Daichi holds Dana's hand. He is so proud of her.

"When this case opens to the public, possibly the International Women's Association will join to call the justice of those both domestic and International victims."

"Then?" Dana panicked again.

Daichi laughs. "You can do it," he cheered her.

"Uncle Daichi!"

Three children suddenly jump on him. "Hey, hey! You are all now heavy! Ugh!"

"That's enough. Now go and change your school uniform." Mike ordered his children. Then, his attention moved to the guy. "Daichi, glad you are able to come home." 

"Really? Like you didn't know that one of these days, Daichi would come." Dana teased her husband. Mike laughs. He knew his crime. He secretly took Dana's current vital statistics for the fittings of the gown.

"Now I know why you dragged me into walking and even bought a treadmill!" Dana scolded him. Mike just continued laughing.

"Of course, it is a big day for my wife. And I did not tell you because I know you will only feel anxious and won't sleep and will just think about it."

Dana gives a long face. Mike planted a kiss in front of Daichi. Anyway, Daichi is used to it already as he has lived with them together since Junior High. He just shook his head.

"I'll go prepare our dinner," he volunteers.

"We will help you too, Uncle Daichi!" The children were running down the stairs.

"Kids, be careful!" Dana warns."Okay! Come on!"
