The food came in and we all started to eat.

"So Jeffrey, where did you come from?" The Duke asked.

"I come from a democratic country called America. Have you ever heard of it?"

"No, I have not and what is this democratic country that you speak of?"

"Oh yes so democracy is when the people are able to decide on rules and things like that rather than a single person like a king gets to decide everything without the people's consent,"

"Oh, your country has quite the rules. However, in our maps, there is no such thing as America,"

"Ahhh, our country is quite far away, there is no way for this kingdom to even hear of its name,"

"I see so I am guessing that you have been travelling since extremely young,"

"Yes, I am currently trying to explore the world and I have been to places such as Korea, Japan, Finland, and various other places. For now, I am planning to stay here for a bit then leave this kingdom to go to various other kingdoms to improve my swordsmanship,"

"Ahh, yes you have been talking about your swordsmanship, tell me what is the sword to you?"

I thought about it for a bit. This question was a very frequent question asked by a master in light novels and if you get it wrong, the master might just scold you for your idiocracy.

"Oh yes, of course. This kingdom, as you said earlier, is called the Kingdom of Piton, ruled by the Royal Piton Family. The current king is King Andreas Piton who is 45 this year which is the same age as me. The king has 3 sons and a daughter. The crown prince is Albert Piton who is currently 29 years old. The second prince is Samuel Piton who is currently 25 years old. The third prince is Isaac Piton who is currently 22 years old. The princess is Diana Winslat Piton who is currently 17 years old. By the way, the king dotes on her greatly so if you get on the princess's good side then you can do almost anything in this kingdom. However, if you get on her bad side, you will never have a good day in the kingdom ever again. Oh yes and the queen is Queen Scarlett Winslat Piton. She was the princess of the neighboring kingdom, the Dalux Kingdom, ruled by the Royal Winslat Family. Aside from the Dalux Kingdom, one of greatest allies, there are 2 neighboring kingdoms, the Brippoulon Kingdom and the Vunate Kingdom. The Brippoulon Kingdom is our enemy and they attack us every so often due to our belief of race equality. We accept beastmen, elves, dwarves, and just about every race and we do not allow slavery here. The Brippoulon hates this fact and wishes to convert us. The Vunate Kingdom is neutral and just allows anything. They accept any race, but they also allow slavery as well. In the Kingdom of Piton, we split the kingdom into 5 sections: The West, East, North, South, and the Central. The 4 directions are controlled by us Dukes. I control the South, by the way. The Central is the capital and that's where all the famous royal academies and things like that exist. That is mostly all the information you need to know about the Kingdom of Piton,"

"Ahh, ok thank you for the information Sir Duke,"

"So, Jeffrey, what do you plan on doing here while you stay?"

"Well, for now, I was planning on going to the guild and sign up. Back then, I felt that the guild was useless in my pursuit for swordsmanship, but gradually, I realized the importance of money and was thinking I should make money while fighting formidable enemies,"

It seemed that Lyka was getting kind of tired of the conversation and stepped into the conversation .

"So Jeffrey, this is my sister Serena Wintercolt and she will be turning 17 this year. She's mainly interested in academics and she says she wants to be a royal magic scholar a role which was never given to a female before. This is my brother, Davis Wintercolt. He is currently 15 years old. He said he wants to be a knight like our father used to be. Maybe you should spar with him later to see how good he is!"

"Oh, good idea," The Duke said. "Jeffrey, I will leave him in your care,"

"Dad, but-"

"Shut it Davis, if you want be a true soldier, you must fight any enemy, weak or strong,"

"*Sigh* I understand," Then Davis looked at me with contempt.

'Does this boy think I'm weak?'

I got kind of pissed off by that look, but in the end, I ignored it.

When we finished eating, the Duke led everyone to the arena. It was like a mini coliseum with seats all around us. In the middle was a leveled up stage.

The Duke started to speak of the rules.

"Once you get on that stage, you are protected the a magic formation etched inside of the stage. When you are hit by a lethal attack, you are sent outside of the stage and all your injuries on that stage is nonexistent so you can go wild. However, try not to traumatize your opponent as much as possible please. Well when you are ready please go on the stage,"

Davis and I both walked onto the stage and as soon as I got on, a message popped up from the system.

Adventurer is now protected by the Coliseum Protection Magic Formation. When hit by a lethal attack, you are transported out of the magic formation. All injuries become nonexistent as well after you leave the stage.

"That's a really weird magic formation though. This must have been an extremely complex magic formation to make,"

"Of course, putting this magic formation on this stage was worth almost 100,000 gold which was the cost of creating this entire coliseum," Davis said to me with a contemptuous tone.

'Hmm, in Earth to create this coliseum, you would need around 200 million dollars. This means that 1 gold is around 2 thousand dollars!'

"Hey, Davis, before we start, I want to ask about the currency here in this kingdom. It might be different from the places I've been to!"

"Huh, what are you talking about?! Are you stupid? How could you not know about bronze, silver, and gold coins. 100 bronze coins equals 1 silver coin and 100 silver coins equals 1 gold coin! How could you come to this kingdom without even the slightest knowledge about money?!"

"Haha..."

'So 1 silver coin equals to 20 dollars and 1 bronze coin equals to around 20 cents. I see, I see,'

"Hey are we going to start yet? Or are you too scared to try to fight me?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, I was just thinking of something. Alright let's begin,"

Davis got ready with his sword and shield while I looked at his stats.

Third Son of the Wintercolt family. He is talented with the swords and is also considered one of the most popular kid at school. He is currently hiding his girlfriend who is commoner due to his fear of his parent's reaction towards a commoner wife. Therefore, he created a false personality in which he acts like he hates commoners even though he loves them like his family. He ignores the commoners in front of many, but secretly, he helps them out to the best of his abilities.

"Davis, so you are a tsundere ehhhh?"'

"What the hell are you talking about? Stop the foolish talk and let's begin!"

"Alright then. Let's get started,"

As soon as I activated the skill, my Katana was getting engulfed in flames.

"Hmm, so he had a weapon enhance skill I see. I've seen various weapon enhance magic before, but I have never seen a weapon enhance magic that can make a weapon burst out in flames," The Duke said.

"Study! I must study it!" When I turned back, Serena started to look at my sword with a fanatical expression like an otaku seeing his waifu figurine on a 90% discount.

"Wha-" In front of me, Davis was extremely surprised. He lost his grip on his sword almost dropping it.

"Davis," I said. "Do you know what is the most important thing for any career?"

"What?" Davis asked. Judging by his expression, he was really curious about this.

"Mastery of a single attribute. If you are a knight focus solely on either offense or defense. If you are a blacksmith, focus on one item to create. After you finish 1 attribute go onto the next and the cycle continues. You are more likely to win when you are a master of one rather than a jack of all trades,"

Davis looked at me with an astonished expression. It seemed that he never thought something like that would come out of my mouth.

"In my case, Davis, I have mastered speed! Here I come!"

I immediately started running in all directions.

"How fast!" The Duke said. "For his age, that speed is really rare! I wonder how Davis can handle that,"

When I saw Davis's expression it was of pure shock and anxiousness.

'Although he is a tsundere, it seems that he does not want to lose. How cute,'

I appeared behind him and got positioned for an attack.

Davis looked back, but it was too late. 3 deep wounds that had emerged in his back and he was teleported off the stage

The Duke, Duchess, Lyka, and Serena all looked at me with shock from the sides.

As I was waiting for something to happen, another system notification came about.

The stage will now automatically remove you in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0. You will now be removed from the stage

I was teleported out of the stage and in front of me was Davis looking at me like fangirl looking at their favorite male K-pop group.

"That was a great fight Brother Jeffrey. Please excuse me as I have to go back to my room to digest everything that happened," He then left the room.

Clap Clap Clap!

The Duke and his family all started clapping.

"Wonderful battle, Jeffrey. I must say that you are quite strong. Unfortunately, I do not have the Appraisal skill to observe you, but I guess this is enough. Well, Lyka will show you to your room. Goodnight," The Duke and the Duchess left the arena.

"Well, Brother Jeffrey," Selena said. "I will look forward to studyi- I mean seeing you again tomorrow," Serena also left the room.

'She said studying right. She's gonna use me as an experiment?!'

Lyka then came up to me.

"That was great Jeffrey! Well, let me guide you to your room,"

She led me to a room that was even bigger than my living room back at Earth. I thanked her and she left.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to take a bath... Eh, whatever, let's do it tomorrow,"

I started to sleep and let me tell you, that was the best sleep I had my entire 17 years of living.
