Chapter 1

He died.

That was the last thought he, Cecil, had.

Well, he didn't expect to die. He was just a normal guy working to death just to provide a good life for his family, and then when a second-generation young master tried to force himself on his wife, the consequence was that they died, as well as him.

Though this was a good thing because it allowed him to finally rest in peace, he was still concerned about what would happen to his family.

As his consciousness began to fade in the darkness, he began to hear various voices, which baffled him because the dead couldn't hear.

"Hey, hurry up!"

"Is this kid stupid? There are still some people waiting. Why are you staring at it and doing nothing?"

"Hahaha! Of course, the peasant could only stare at it, dazed."

"Huh?" Cecil opened his eyes since he could hear.

Confused, he looked around and noticed a large number of people staring at him with hostility and amusement, while some of them whispered to each other as if they were discussing animals in the zoo.

'Why are there suddenly so many people here? Are they perhaps the same as me, a soul ready to reincarnate?' He thought inwardly, still confused about what was going on.

At the top of the hall, a cross-sitting man closed his eyes. He is the spirit expert who will guide these young people to awaken their spirits.

Suddenly, the man's eyes opened.

A huge pressure slammed into them all, forcing them to close their mouths, and above them appeared a golden circle, from which a two-headed giant emerged.

A golden spirit!

The thoughts of many people, shocked and amazed,

And the man began to speak, "Patience is required if you want to choose the path of the spiritual master, and boy... I'm full of patience, but my time is running out."

However, Cecil couldn't understand what he meant and noticed that he was the only one standing on this stage, and he pointed at himself, "Me?"

"Pfft!" The people around him wanted to laugh at his "stupidity," but they held back their laughter when they noticed the two-headed giant staring at them closely as if they were prisoners.

The man locked his gaze on him for a few moments before leaping in front of him and speaking while his hand was on his back.

"Your face shows confusion. I don't know what happened to you before to make that face, but I will not judge you because in this Star Empire School everyone is fair and equal."

The man then pointed at the white orb on the table and said, "This is a spirit orb. This will help you to awaken your spirit."

"Spirit... this is not..." Cecil hesitated to say reincarnation because he feared that saying it would cause him to experience something he had never experienced before in his life.

So he decided to take a deep breath and think about what was going on around him because everything was confusing him. He was dead and floating in the darkness when he awoke in this bizarre situation.

Whoosh

Breathing gently, he followed the man's order and saw a white orb, and for some strange reason, he was attracted to it, as if some kind of force was pulling him in.

"Put your hands above," the man said. "If you're done, you will find yourself inside of your soul. Then, after that, you must awaken your spirit at all costs. If not, that was okay, but you need it for the rest of your life."

"...okay," Cecil nodded and then gently put his hand above the white orb.

Then everything changed in an instant; everything he saw was as if he was traveling through space, and now he found himself standing or floating in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by bright stars as if he were viewing the cosmos.

When he saw the bright stars and galaxies moving in a circle, his eyes flashed with various emotions such as fear, astonishment, and awe.

"T-This is my soul..."

Instead of looking at his spirit because no one is around, he stops and thinks of what he should do in the current situation he is in.

"Did I transmigrate?" He rubbed his head furiously since he couldn't think of anything else besides transmigrating.

"Where should I go after this? If I had transmigrated, I would have received this body memory, but I didn't receive anything."

"Fuck!" He couldn't help but curse in his mind. The situation was a hundred times harder than finding a stable job.

Thinking for a moment, he decides to first find the spirits because he guesses this can help him in this world.

Floating around aimlessly, he notices a bright light from his left side, and when he sees it up close, he is surprised because it was a gun—a Gatling gun.

"Is this my spirit?" he wonders as he carefully touches it; but, as soon as his hand touches it, his surroundings begin to shift and he returns to where he was standing.

"Good job, but this is my first time seeing this kind of spirit." The man rubbed his nonexistent beard as he looked at the spirit curiously.

"This is... this is Gatling," Cecil responded, still shocked inside.

"Oh," the man nodded, and continued, "Now you're done, you can now proceed inside."

Despite his curiosity, the man chose not to investigate the topic more because Cecil is now a student at his school, which means he will have the opportunity to see what it is and what it can do.

Cecil nodded before proceeding but stopped midway and asked while he rubbed his head, "How can I unuse this?"

Walking around while carrying a Gatling is painful and awkward.

The man turned his head and mumbled, "Who really are you? A person likes you... Are you perhaps a demon...?"

He then shook his head, because anyone who enrolls in Star Empire School must proceed with the test, but this young man's test had no problem, so it should be impossible, and he said, "Just think that it will disappear and it will."

"Thank you," Cecil said as he bowed and followed his command.

And then the Gatling gun in his hand disappeared, and also the white spirit circle hovering behind him.

He glances at the crowd below, who are now looking respectful like before. He guesses that because of that man or perhaps his spirit, before walking away.

....

School Library

After what happened on stage, he asked various students where the library was located. Surprisingly, only females answered his question.

Though he suspects it's a work based on his appearance.

Looking at the history book and opening it, reveals the knowledge hidden inside.

...

One hundred years ago,

The sudden appearance of demons causes chaos in this world of Otania. Terror, cruelty, evil, and blood immediately reigned over the world.

However, humanity, which formerly stood at the top of the food chain, was reduced to a source of demon food. However, this did not last long.

Sakarim was the first human to awaken the spirit, fighting demons on his own and forcing them to flee, since the power he possessed was so great that even the demon king couldn't vanquish it.

After that, Sakarim was hailed as the God of humanity who protected them from invaders.

Until Sakarim, the God of humanity, left this world, leaving only his piece of knowledge on how to create a spirit orb that can awaken the spirit inside the soul, leaving the world stunned and speechless.

And then the era of the spirit master began.

Sigh~

After reading, he rests his back against the chair and stares at the ceiling as if he was thinking of something.

"I did transmigrate, but now what should I do? Let's think of it later. Let's find my dorm first," He stood up and walked out of the library.

After he left, a shadow appeared at his table, and the shadow looked at the book before looking at him.

"He is strange..."
