1 Chapter One

Sebastian Castellanos POV

Being Alpha sounds amazing because you will be in charge of a whole bunch of wolves but it's not. There will be so much paperwork and meetings and making alliances with our neighboring packs. I won't be able to hang out with my best friend/ future beta Cole as much. I mean we will still see each other but it would be only business not playing basketball or playing COD. I won't be a normal 18-year-old. This reminds me of my birthday tomorrow! I get to finally meet my mate. When you turn 18 you finally meet your soulmate.

My mother always told me that mates are the best thing in the world. They will love you for you. They wouldn't want you to change. They were made for you by the Moon Goddess. My mother also told me I should wait for my mate. So that's what I did. I've never had my first kiss and I'm still a virgin. I know it's weird and stupid but I want to be pure for my mate. I don't want to be like my father.

My father was a good man once. But things changed when his mother got attacked by rogues. My grandfather and grandmother were on their way to an Alpha meeting but it was a setup. By the Aries pack. They were helping the rogues take down my grandparents. My grandfather got away but my grandmother was killed. They pulled her heart right out of her chest. But no one knew my father saw the whole thing. He followed his parents to the meeting because he knew something was off. He was 17 at the time, seeing his mother get murdered was the worst thing ever. Ever since then he was ruthless for 3 years when he became Alpha. But when he found my mother he changed a little. He wasn't cold-hearted but he was still ruthless. Then 5 years later here I come and that's when everything changed. My father turned into a loving man to his family but still strict with the pack. I'm glad I never saw my father at his worse, but he told me about his past so I won't become like that. He knows that what he did to his pack was unforgivable so he wants me to change the way he leads the pack.

So here I am laying in my bed thinking what am I going to say for the ceremony when I become Alpha. Also, what do I say when I see my mate. If I'm going to be completely honest I am nervous. But I can't wait to meet her. "Sebastian wakes up, you're going to be late! You know how your father gets." My ma yells from downstairs. So I go straight to the bathroom and do my daily routine, then I go to my closest and get dress. Once I go downstairs I see my father and mother kissing in front of the stove " no me gusto Mami, stop kissing while you are cooking my breakfast, please. Gracias" I said while making a nasty face towards my Padre. They hate when I mash Spanish and English together. It's either-or, but I still do it. They stop kissing and started to laugh at me. We ate breakfast and just talked about the ceremony for tonight. Once I'm done eating I go straight to school, it was only a five-minute drive.

I walk into the school and go straight to my locker, which is where my two best friends were at. "Hey Seb, you're finally the big one eight. How does it feel?" Cole asks while he stares at all the she-wolves pass by. " I feel the same. I just can't wait till I meet my mate. I hope I meet her today." I said while getting my English book out. Aron is always quiet he is more of an observer. That's why we pretty close he can see people for who they are. He can see who wants to be our friend for real or just because of our Alpha Beta and Gamma. Anyways the bell rings and we all headed to class.
